We moved our household contents from AZ to PA using Pods Moving and Storage. Everything from our initial inquiry about the Pod service to the destination delivery was nothing but extraordinary. Phone inquiries were immediately answered. There was consistent followup. And the price for the Pod rental and move was very reasonable as compared to using an established moving company. The Pod unit was clean. Pod deliveries and pickups were on time. The pickup and delivery personnel were professional, friendly and competent. On the WPA/Leetsdale end, a "shout out" to Chazz! who handled the delivery and pickup of our Pod. He was friendly , informative, professional and very careful in positioning and picking up our Pod. I used PODS for a long-distance move and, while the moving/storage service itself was generally acceptable, my experience with the post-delivery property damage claim process has been extremely disappointing. (The Leetsdale PA office was the local facility that handled the PA portions of my PODS move.) During delivery and pickup, damage occurred to my property, including lawn and driveway/asphalt edge damage. Since reporting the issue, the primary challenge has not been a disagreement over dollar amounts, but rather the handling of the claim itself. The process has involved long communication gaps, repeated follow-ups, incomplete consideration of documented damages, and inconsistent responses between the various parties involved in the claim process. Despite providing photos, contractor estimates, and supporting documentation, the matter has remained unresolved for an extended period of time with little proactive communication. What has been most frustrating is the apparent lack of accountability and coordination between PODS, the third-party administrators, and the adjusters handling the file. Communication often resumed only after escalations or external complaints were filed. I understand that claims investigations take time, and I have tried to remain patient and professional throughout the process. However, customers should not have to repeatedly chase updates or struggle to obtain clear answers regarding the status and scope of their claim. Consumers beware. My experience with PODS was extremely disappointing and costly. On my scheduled delivery date (Dec 29), both the driver and customer service repeatedly confirmed that my container would be delivered. Instead, the time window kept changing throughout the day, the driver stopped answering calls, and customer service kept assuring me that delivery was "on the way." After nearly five hours of waiting, PODS suddenly canceled the delivery, claiming a permit issue that had already been discussed and addressed. Because PODS failed to follow through, I lost money on movers, had to pay for another hotel night, and wasted an entire day. I have emails and phone call records supporting all of this. No customer should have to deal with this level of miscommunication and disregard. I would strongly advise anyone considering PODS to think twice. read more

Our experience w/PODS started out fine. We had a 16ft container for 4.5 years w/out issue in Bristol, Virginia. Unfortunately, that ended when we scheduled our long-distance delivery to Ohio. What followed was communication failures, unresponsiveness, & schedule breakdowns that caused stress, financial loss, and unnecessary hardship during a time when we were already caring for elderly loved ones. We coordinated our move with PODS management and were told we'd receive a call the day before with a delivery window. Instead, we received a notice that the delivery was canceled due to non-payment despite our account having been auto-charged just 5 days earlier for the monthly fee. The new charge had no clear explanation. This cancellation forced us to reschedule everything -- flights, truck rentals, a dumpster, and help from friends. These had all been booked months in advance. Now, with only a week to react we were backed into a corner. PODS offered a discount, which barely scratched the surface of the disruption & expense. We rescheduled with a new delivery date/window of 8-11am only to receive a call that morning at 8:23am they weren't coming. The driver was sick & there were no options than to delay 2 more days. No manager was available to speak with me. I was placed on a call-back list that, to this day, no one has followed up. On the day of delivery, after requesting an early window, we were given 10:30-1:30. At 12:31pm, we were informed that the driver had a flat tire. It wasn't until 4:40pm that the POD finally arrived. No one from PODS followed up, despite multiple requests. The drivers were professional, but the communication and responsiveness from the company were shockingly poor. I hope no other family has to go through the helplessness & frustration of trying to retrieve their possessions from a company so detached from customer service & accountability. When you entrust a company with your family's furniture, heirlooms, and memories, you expect a baseline level of reliability & respect. read more

People who came to pick up and deliver were nice and competent. People on phone and managers giving them advice were incompetent. Person I was speaking to said they were working "off shore" ( outside of US). Had to ask for them to repeat and spell as they were hard to understand and they had to keep going back to supervisor to ask questions. Do not recommend. read more

I had terrible experience ordering PODs. First, no one from PODs warmed me that I need a street permit for them to drop the PODs in front of my house. On the delivery date the driver won't come and drop the POD. This mess up my moving schedule. I was extremely stressful because I need to move out from the house in one week. I called U Pack. Although their service was not perfectly smooth, but everything worked out. They are very easy to reach and pickup the damn phone really fast. It takes me freaking 30 mins to wait POD representatives to pick up the phone. Bad service. U Pack drop their container at my house without any issue. They pickup the next day once I loaded. POD just won't do that. Terrible service. Don't use POD ever! Use U pack! They are a little cheaper too. read more
