Dr. Poggi is kind, honest, trustworthy, and professional. He does exceptional work and sincerely cares about his patients. (My consults were never rushed, and he was thorough in answering my questions and addressing any/all concerns). Dr. Poggi isn't "all about the money," but genuinely wants you to be confident in your decision to move forward. He did not pressure me AT ALL and encouraged me to wait if I was confused or conflicted about surgery. Dr. Poggi is extremely intelligent (yet humble and down to earth). His sense of humor makes time conversing with him even more enjoyable. I trusted his judgment and expertise 100% with my surgeries, and was thoroughly pleased with my results. I'm sure this review will get deleted because it appears this guy doctors all his reviews, so I hope this reaches at least one person in the time it's up. When I left this doctors office, I initially agreed to proceed with him and his recommendations. So he might wonder why I'm writing this review. For over an hour, he was very convincing that I was a pretty disgusting human being, so I was also convinced I needed the recommended procedures. So let's backup, I came in for a breast reduction. Told him I'd like to go from a DD to a B. He stared at me like I have no idea what I'm talking about and said "No ya don't". Don't you want to be curvy and sexy? Ok, thanks for deciding what I'd like to do with my body. That was extremely off putting. I mentioned that I'd like to do Bodytite with the reduction. He had never heard of the procedure (old school surgeon who doesn't seem to care about new and innovative practices) and went on for awhile about how it's a gimmick. If you do some research, you'll see that bodytite is a very effective, less invasive procedure being done all over the US by Board Certified Plastic Surgeons. He suggested I do not just a tummy tuck, but a lower body lift which essentially cuts and lifts front and back around the lower waist. Then came the good part.. He told me my chest is not the problem, it's my stomach. He said I have so much loose skin and that I must have lost a LOT of weight at one point in my life. He also said my stomach did not match my face or the rest of my body and made me feel like I was the most disgusting person he had ever sat down with, and also gave me the Trunkal obesity diagnosis. He asked many times through the consult if I have body dysmorphia. Well, I never did but I think I do now. Throughout the consultation, the doctor commented that my conservative and shy nature does not match my airline pilot career. Well, I'm in here with two strangers without my shirt on so 1) what does that have to do with anything and 2) why does this matter? After all this he said "Not everybody gets to look like her"... his nurse. Thanks. I don't want to look like your nurse, I want to look like me with a smaller chest. After asking others about their experience, I had to write this. I do not recommend, and especially don't recommend taking a teen or young girl to this doctor... he will probably induce an eating disorder and/or scar them for life. Me? I'm almost 40... I can take the beating. I was however, down in the dumps and depressed about my body for a solid week... and still don't feel 100% comfortable in public after his comments. Dr. Poggi and his staff are amazing especially his nurse Celeste!! In the last two years I've lost 135 pounds and as a result my chest shrunk and I have loose skin on my legs, stomach, back and arms. I went to the Plastic Surgery Center to have my boobs done and I was very disappointed in the results. One of my boobs is smaller than the other which in time I will have Dr. Poggi correct. At the Plastic Surgery Center I hadn't even woken up from anesthesia and they were pushing me out the door. Even with my follow up calls and appointments expressing disappointment in my breast argumentation, the Plastic Surgery Center (plastic surgeon) did not even offer to correct her poorly done work. After having such a poor experience at the Plastic Surgery Center, I definitely sought out different plastic surgeons from numerous doctors and most of them referred me to Dr. Poggi. Back in August I had a 360 full body lift which included liposuction. I can't tell you how happy I am with my side thigh being gone, my stomach being flat and my back being so sculpted. Celeste his nurse always calls me back right away his front desk team and billing department always return my calls promptly and are always pleasant to speak with. Even the center that my surgery was performed at was very clean and the staff there was amazing!! Dr. Poggi is the type of doctor that you can be brutally honest with and he's going to be brutally honest with you. The offices are always clean and I can't complain about the free coffee and water that I get while I'm there. I went to Dr poggi after my double mastectomy and I just wanted to be even and flat. I was in my 60s do didn't want boobs. He wouldn't listen to me. He insisted on giving me a "A" cup on my left side. He took a muscle from my back and used it. It's not a "A" cup, it's more like a "C" cup. I absolutely hate it. Instead of my chest being flat and even it's now lopsided. I'm more disfigured than I was before I had his surgery. I'm so very sorry I went to him.i had heard he was one of the best. I really hate what he did to me. While he was talking to me, he was fondling two implants. I absolutely refused those. I did eventually agree to the "A" cup but reluctantly. I can't say enough about Dr. Poggi Plastic Surgery office. I went because of a broken nose; while waiting I saw he had a Aesthetician and since I had acne scars and bad skin I asked to see his Aesthetician a lady named Michelle. I told Michelle I have really bad skin and nothing has helping. Michelle said I can help with that with the ZO products we have. She knows her products well and knows exactly what one needs. Now after seeing her I have a health face and almost none of the acne scare are visible. Michelle is the best in my option, she is an expert of her products and knows exactly how to use them. I am on a wonderful regime that actually works and I never have had a more healthier face.
