The inside of the condo was really pretty! The owner lived upstairs while the downstairs was rented. There was lots of airflow and the windows let in plenty of light. The condos are located close by a lot of yummy restaurants and right underneath the mountains. It was always cool (temperature-wise) when I was there and was really relaxing. You couldn't hear any of the loud traffic that was near by, either.

My husband and I have lived in Haiku Woods for more than a year. Our experience could not be more different. As I write this, I am sitting on the lanai and listening to the sounds of the rushing stream and the birds in the trees. Our lanai overlooks a lovely expanse of lawn dotted with rainbow eucalyptus and bordered by stunning palms, red ginger, and other gorgeous greenery. The view from the master bedroom loft is of the beautiful Ko`olaus; after a heavy rain we are treated to a trio of waterfalls. Our immediate neighbors are quiet, friendly, and respectful, as are the residents I have met at the pool. I am quite perplexed at the description by "Lilly N." I am sure that of the 87 units, everyone's experience is somewhat different, but I have never heard such outrageous comments from anyone here. Any complaints are handled by our resident manager; noise and other violations are addressed by warnings and fines, if necessary. The staff members I have encountered, the resident manager, gardeners, and maintenance workers, have always been polite. I can't imagine that any of them are asking on a "daily basis what are your family plans for the weekend and who was that nice young lady they saw," as "Lilly N." claims. I won't take the time to address the other comments, but I would encourage Lilly N. to take her complaints to the board. She can call, email, or attend a meeting. If she doesn't want to do that and is really so unhappy here, she should put her townhouse on the market. I know at least one family who is ready to take her place in our lovely Eden at Haiku Woods.

Renter Buyers Beware! I'm a current renter at Honolulu Tower…read moreand over the past year there has been plumbing issues where the hot water is spotty to non-existent and has gotten extremely bad since September 2024. Over 90% of the days there was no hot water. The manager Idor does not seem to care nor give timely updates on the progress of the fix and the HOA managers do not care as the issue doesn't affect their top floor apartments. Additionally, there is a fire alarm and sprinkler issue that hasn't been resolved and instead of informing the residents in a building wide announcement the Management only posts a piece of paper next to the fire alarm systems.

Normally theres three but sometimes get down to 1 which is frustrating if you live on high floors. Its a block from fire station so loud midnight sirens aren't unusual. Chinatown is pretty vibrant and isn't for everyone. You'll see a lot of people struggling on the street which can be heartbreaking. but never feels unsafe to me. People drive like jerks getting in and out of parking garage. Not super convenient bike parking.

If you're needing a secure place to live and park, Capitol Place has both. Staff regularly roam the building (including parking, stairwells, etc) through the day and night to ensure everyone's safety. The condo is a very family friendly place to raise your children, and also a good place if you don't have kids. The gym with AC is really nice, and the equipment is kept clean. The kids play area is well maintained and is a safe spot for your keiki to run around. There is also an adjacent dog relief area that is serviced regularly to keep it clean. It's also in a good location in town - close to major businesses in downtown, and several hospitals. The easy freeway access is nice, and major grocery stores are nearby.

This what seems to be the standard condominium conveniently located just right outside of downtown is not what it seems, though invited as a guest I can't comment on the living conditions but know just from the amenities that it must be a lovely spot to call home. From what many will read of the security and how strict they are can be somehow frustrating though the need to feel safe should be the priority for many and though arriving as a first timer understanding the process really wasn't that complicated and actually appreciate knowing you can feel safe. Once I check with security and gave them the necessary information what's on the 8th floor was something that I've never expected to see as if I was transported to a location in Japan as it was a massive koi pond with several islands of grilling station with sinks with tennis courts and a huge party room that all seems to be sitting on the koi pond was just so impressive. The party room was quite large and seem to be able to hold 20-30 people quite easily with a kitchen area making it an amazing place to celebrate your occasion. Thank you for sharing this lovely place and what a cool vibe that I could've sat forever just chilling by the waterfall to unwind and relax after a long day, I'm so thankful to have enjoyed this opportunity with others. Quite possibly the worst place I've ever stayed, and that's saying a lot. The utter disgust I feel…read morewalking around this building can hardly be described, but I'll go for it. If you'd like to build a case to sue somebody till their hair fell out of their heads come here. There's so many violations(roach infestation, broken toilets, misrepresentation of property, unmanaged bodily fluids, fire hazards, littering at corporate scale) and if you do address them they respond with their own pompous brand of callous demeaning apathy that'll make you slip into anger and think something out of character.... I initially just kept my place as clean as possible until I noticed roaches coming in from the doorway in the middle of the night, I still kept quiet cuz my lease was almost up. That's when they started trying to murder a young cat and her kittens by method of a faulty wire fence, that was the last straw for me. Since then I've failed to receive a refund and they've resorted to retaliation.

First night, shades didn't roll up, took hours for the air conditioner to kick in, no ironing board - although the manager said there's one, now!! No hot water in the shower...second night, maintenance comes to fix the hot water and shades, thank god! Let's see, pest control guys come at 7:00 am for fumigation/spraying of the unit. No pool, no jacuzzi- that was not disclosed, parking charges of $35/day. Slow elevator to the 17th floor, only 2 elevators. No front desk only security which when the fire alarm was blasting at 7:00 am on the third day, security guy had no idea what to do "let me call my supervisor, this is only my second day".....let's see, laundry room has 6 washers, only TWO were working, worse for the dryers, had to wrestle an ol' lady over one of washers that was working..

Yes it was built in 1973 but extensive renovations have been kept up over the years and if you look at their management plan you will see the next 20 years of maintenance and renovations already accounted for. It's comforting to see so many owners also work for the complex, which adds a nice level of pride in what they do. Ownership includes storage for most water sport items like surfboards, SUP,s Kayaks and even a boat slip when available. Pool, hot tub, saunas, gym, BBQ, social room, and tons of private seating on multiple outdoor decks. Owners are constantly renovating their units, but that's what it takes to keep the value up for everyone. Thanks to every staff member for all they do.

The counter and kitchen area in the party room is very nice sized, clean and an awesome ice maker!!! Grateful for Allen & Steve answering my questions and helping me search for housing. Lele…read morePono is one of the tall high rises in the area that you can see on the H-1 when passing Aiea and the building is diagonally across Macy's Pearlridge. The building is gated and guests may park in one of the many parking stalls they have with access from residents. Tandem parking stalls are available for some residents. I house/condo-sat on a couple of occasions and loved it because of the security, convenience and amenities. The residents in this condo are for the most part friendly and quiet. The property has a pool deck that includes a hot tub and a couple of cabanas where we've had pool parties at on a couple of occasions. Lele Pono's prime location makes it convenient to shop and dine because they're in walking distance to Pearlridge Center, Pearl Kai and West Ridge. If you're looking for a condo in Aiea, I would definitely check out Lele Pono. It's a relatively safe and quiet building with a security guard on property 24/7. Not to mention, you'll have a great view of the mountains in Aiea, Pearl City, Makakilo, etc. and an awesome view of Pearl Harbor.
