Was taken off my debit card and posted immediately. Did not stay and was told I would get it right back, the n t day. Had to make my way home with no car from Ventura, Ca to Los Angeles... in the middle of the night, approx 3 hours from home.. Very bad situation. I call every few months and still haven't gotten my money back, it has been 7 months. I am a very physically disabled person currently approaching major back surgery, and really need this money back. Pax seemed nice, and I gave him the money, but as soon as he went home I was left to deal with staff members who were not less than savage, as they kept my money. I have called 12 times, have logged all of the calls, never a call back. They don't seem like compassionate people to be in the business of helping others. Atleast this was my experience

Hands down the best communication & respect I've received to help me on my journey. I leave next Friday which in turn will be 30 days reset for me. This is my first experience ever in any rehabilitation center. I am glad I can in when I did. I've met some great people here along my journey to support my decision to enroll here. If you're thinking about coming here and can. Do it. You won't retreat it. Top notch care & the food is above average & always fresh. Thank you Logan & staff for being a part of my journey. All the therapist are top line. Jake the gym trainer, the best. Super sweet gentleman. From the services they offer to the nurses. Top line. Not to mention for being form East LA native Mexican-America Chicano, I was treated with Class & respect. All walks of life come here that I lived with for 30 days. Thank you Passages. shout out to John in the RS department.

This facility actually cares about their clients!…read more I'm filled with gratitude to this facility. I was in true despair and was ready to throw it all away, everything I had worked so hard for, all of it, it was horrible. By chance we found this facility and it was exactly what I needed. I was ready and willing to do whatever it took to get myself back in order and La Ventana gave me the tools that are necessary to make that happen. The staff treated me like family and everyone on board is passionate about what they do. I was given the structure and encouragement I needed, they were patient with me and let me be myself. They absolutely went above and beyond for me and my family and I will be forever grateful to them. I'm so glad we found this facility and my new extended family. Thank you EVERYONE at La Ventana, we got this!!!

The staff is caring and competent, and the therapists are exceptionally good at what they do. My husband and I both learned a lot about how to parent a child with challenges. And our daughter was treated with respect and love. We never worried about what would happen to her or feared for her safety, which means a lot. It was important to my husband and myself to have our daughter placed in a setting that respected her and also did cutting edge therapy. At Visions they told us from the outset that they strive to earn kids' trust and meet them with creativity and treat them like humans. We could see right away that this wasn't just talk; but a radical guiding principal that informed everything they did. I honestly can't say enough good things about Visions. They are a model program.

Instead, I was systematically broken down and rebuilt into a compliant "ideal patient". I was forced to make a phone call to all my friends and my boyfriend on the outside to end my relationships with them while a counselor listened in. I was completely emotionally isolated because it wasn't safe to share real feelings with my peers in the program, the counselors, or my parents. Sharing real feelings meant that I might not be able to go home or I would be sent to "long term treatment". When I had a terrifying panic attack due to what I was going through in the program, I wasn't comforted, I was assigned to write an essay with the title "Breakdown or Breakthrough?", which tried to convince my vulnerable young mind that my own psychological breakdown because of the program was actually the program healing me. My parents were trained not to believe me. I entered with a voice. I left unable to identify my own feelings and with a mask that took years to take down. There's so much more, but for the sake of brevity, I'll leave it at that. Parents deserve to know that this place doesn't heal children - it dismantles them. If you're considering sending your child here, please hear me: the damage may be invisible, but it is lasting and real. You can go to unsilenced.org to learn about the troubled teen industry and learn about real methods of healing for your child and your family.
