(We wouldn't know what to do without my brother) While my friend and I were trying to help find a place for my brother, Debbie was trying to help even though we didn't think he had the correct insurance for Transformations Care. Debbie helped my friend for countless hours and eventually they were able to figure out insurance to get my brother to Transformations. The fact that she was helping my friend even though we didn't think we could get my brother to Transformations, truly shows that this place has the best of intentions. I was referred to TCI and knew I needed to go, but didn't want to go. That all changed once I got there. TCI changed my life and forced me to look in a mirror and get comfortable with being uncomfortable and face the parts of me that have been anchoring me from true freedom and inner peace. The program they run is rigourous and caused some serious brain pain, but I was able to break through parts of me that have I've been hiding for most of my life. Each person has their own style of doing things and contributed different things that I needed to receive while I was there, and to me, it was the perfect staff. From crying, to laughing, to being vulnerable and feeling comfortable enough to dig deep and share things with perfect strangers that I've never shared with anyone else; I've never felt more safe, heard, and just allowed to be myself without judgement. Instead I was met with compassion, understanding, and comfort. I don't trust people easily, and I trust every person at TCI with my life, because they not only changed my life, they saved my life. If I name one person in this review, I'm going to have to name all of them (that's a long list), but I was able to go home with the tools I know will help me manage my recovery on a daily basis, and because of that, my fears have lost power over me. I'm eternally grateful to each and every staff member at TCI. Thank you for your kindness, love and care (and for the brain pain experienced from being forced to be honest with myself). I am eternally grateful. This is the place to go if you want to experience true freedom from self. When I feel some sort of way, all I have to do is remember the advice and suggestions and feedback I received during my time at TCI, and I know there's hope that I will be ok. The shift in when i noticed that Dr. Faynboyn was no longer professional was when he decided to tell me i was making up my aversive reaction to a medication called Lamictal.. He said there was no way I could have gotten that side effect because it was rare. I did not once tell him he was wrong just that i don't like the way this medication is making me feel. I got a second opinion and 3rd opinion one from an urgent care physician and one from a dermatologist. I was right, and he made me feel like I was a crazy person. He somehow felt threaten and thought i was going to sue him or something because he panicked and said no way and started to be rude to me. Which I thought was odd because i looked up to him and thought he was great and understanding. I was also doing and intensive outpatient program where i was seeing another psychiatrist, and swayed away from Dr. Faynboyn and saw her instead. She was amazing. After i finished my program I went back to Nuerowellness spa and continued with another Physician Dr. Quy Pham who was great and I was able to fade of my medication a year later. Everything from there went well. Mind you this is in 2023. Fast forward to today, in December i had a really bad Panic attack and was sent to the ER... My mom tried reaching out and spoke to Roxanna and she mentioned that she would get back to my mom to set up an appointment. This is was a couple weeks away from Christmas, mom waitied for her to return her call and she NEVER did. We come to find out that the week of Christmas i decide to reach out and we find out she is out for the week. I waitied a whole day and i did not bug because i understand that it is the holidays. I too and my mom work in the health field and admin so we know how busy it can get. I has been two full days now and i do not hear anything. I call again and speak with an intake specialist I believe her name was Sydney and she mentioned that she would call the Long beach office and was sorry about this whole situation. I get a call back and she then tells me that i am not fit to be seen by them and i was flabbergasted i asked why? and she said she wasn't sure but that they recommended i see another psychiatry place.. I was shocked because i ended well with Dr. Quy Pham that I graduated out from support with no longer taking medication for a Year. I was doing really well up until december where my anxiety was up the roof and i had been admitted to the ER. My mom was trying to get ahold of them before things got worse for me and we did not hear back. It is quiet unprofessional and dissappointing as getting help has always been hard in the mental health field. I really needed them and they were no where to be fond. So they really need to take a look at how they handle situations and really take a look at why are they in this field. This population is quite vulnerable and for them to say they care but when someone really needs it they don't do anything about it and let people fend for themselves. Its sad...
