It could be a pretty good campground but the restroom/showers are in bad shape.... there's no shower curtains in about 1/3 of the showers... some of them don't have shower heads. It is BLAZING HOT in all of the showers/restrooms ALL OF THE TIME. You take a shower, even in the winter, and you are sweating before you can get dressed and get out of the shower house. When you stay long term, you are supposed to move every six months... but they let you move for a day, or a week, and then move back to where you were -- or you can just move and stay in the new spot. Some people who move for a day or so and return will leave all of their crap in the original site. So, they are basically occupying two sites for the price of one. This move is supposedly so that people don't become "residents" but it isn't working. Other fixed shelters besides your camper aren't "allowed" but dozens of people have them... some of the sites look like a landfill. Also, some of the buddies of whoever runs the place don't have to do the six-month move. The ladies who work in the store say that isn't the case but it obviously is the case. Even people who haven't moved have said, "I've been here four years, I only moved the first time, I haven't moved since". I did stay here for two years for a job.... but some pretty nasty people had moved in next to me... they kept making noise all night long at the staff refused to do anything about it. There was no place to move, so I moved out. Recently, I was passing through the area and decided to stay a few days.... well, they added a $5 free that is supposed to be "per transaction" but they cheated me... they tacked on the $5 fee FOR EACH DAY I stayed. Also, when I was "living" here, they started charging me for someone else's propane refills.... they required a credit card be kept on file... and I was lax in monitoring my credit card charges... and when I did, I saw EIGHT CHARGES of $21.50 each that weren't mine. They refused to correct. They said "we don't issue refunds". But you charged me for things I didn't buy. "Sorry, no refunds". They did "give" me my next propane tank refill at no charge but they wouldn't do any more than that. And for my last stay, there were people coming in at 10pm to use the showers every night; they weren't camping here. I reported it to the staff after I saw it happen three nights in a row.... this group of both males & females would occupy the men's showers for 2 to 3 hours... no one on staff cared at all. Do NOT recommend. Local suggested picking this Campground bc of proximity to water park for our child. Water Park is only open on weekends, however. We went on a weekday. This Campground was the dirtiest we came across our entire trip & the bathroom attendant was so EXTREMELY RUDE and MEAN. She asked us to get out of the bathroom in the morning bc she's busy cleaning & said if we absolutely needed to shower or pee to go do it at the dirty, bug infested, no A/C Pavillion bathrooms down the road. She said her name wasn't any of our damn business and we were more than welcome to report her to the office bc they won't give a damn. When I informed the office worker of this (she was extremely nice) she seemed scared to even tell the bathroom attendant lady anything at all as if this happens all the time. Said she didn't want her to "go off" on us even more. The woman was already extremely confrontational in front of my young daughter which I don't tolerate. So we leave the bathroom to avoid her and go to laundry room to grab our clothes that were finished while we showered & attendant then comes in there slamming all the machine doors around and starting her mess again back and forth! This is unacceptable customer service to paying campers or in any industry at all. Just ridiculous and pure mean. If you're having a bad day just say that or communicate to us in a non-hateful way that we are in your way cleaning. My kid was literally already done showering and I was just using the toilet . We were both brushing our teeth for 2 minutes and getting out anyway when this worker came in there on a rampage. I will be telling everyone to never go here! We had fabulous experiences at 5 other Campgrounds last week with zero complaints. read more

My review is for the water park. I lost my sunglasses when I slide own the Flume Tube slide. I knew it was my fault that i forgot to take it off before I slide down despite the warning sign was there. I went to the customer service counter and left my contact. They managed to find my sunglasses after it closes. Unfortunately, I left the park already. I went to pick it up the day after. During the whole experience, every person who tried to assist were friendly and polite. Not to mention the fun my 2-year-old son had that day for his first ever water park. Cathy from the customer service contact me two days later to follow up and make sure i did get my sunglasses back so she can cross my name off from her list. How nice?! read more

I wouldn't even give the park 1 star. Here's why they had a $5 event for people to come out to enjoy themselves. Yet they had unorganized lines and were turning people down at certain gates while other gates were still allowing entrance. Also over 200 people broke into the park by breaking a lock on the gate and climbing over fences. So their security wasn't doing their jobs looking out for the people inside. Then a shooting occur that caused people to get injured including myself. Wouldn't recommend this park at all save your money and effort. read more

Awesome, awesome campground, golf course is fun, not the best condition, it's a great little course and convenient to the campground. They have an ICE COMPLEX, even a local traveling hockey team. Back to the campground, this is a great pick as long as you don't mind a crowd, this is a crowded, friendly, shaded, very down home, has a great bathhouse, nice campers! If your a camper, try out point mallard campground, make reservations!! If they offer them, it stays full! read more

This park has a lot of different attractions. The youth practice and play soccer games here on the fields. There is a rec center, T.C. Almon, on the park's property, as well. There is an ice skating rink, a large water park, batting cages (strike zone), an amphitheater, huge picnic pavilion, smaller picnic pavilions, a clean lake, campgrounds, golf course, driving range, and bike/walking paths around the beautiful lake. The annual Jubilee Hot Air Balloon festival is held here every year on Memorial Day weekend then the Spirit of America Festival with a beauty pageant is held on the 4th of July weekend. There are car shows and other events like civil war reenactments that happen there as well. There are some fees for certain things like the water park or ice rink. There is no parking fees. There is also an outdoor open air chapel that's available for reserving. It's beautiful and rustic. I like the cleanliness of the park. The only thing I don't like is the one way in and out aspect. Confining at times when there are thousands there for an event. read more

It was fun for my children (ages 9 & 3) but not so much for me and my brother. Ride lines were really long so we didn't get on anything but all we were actually there for was my oldest child's birthday anyway so we weren't really worried about that. It's quite a bit of walking between each section and it's really crowded no matter what day you go. Lockers aren't really big enough for more than 2 people's stuff either. Much cheaper than other parks, but you get what you pay for. read more

overprice, inattentive staff, dangerous. My wife fell at the park recieved limited medical attention at the first aid shack and later cuts she received became infected. this is basically 2 parks .2 miles apart and you have to walk between them to hit all of the rides. read more

Stayed there a few times and found the staff to be rather unpleasant. They appear to be more of a trailer village for full-timers and transient workers than a traditional campground. Overall the campground does not have anything spectacular to offer other than a place to park. They do not take reservations. During the summer months. During that time they are pretty much booked with transient workers. During the non-summer months, they claim to take reservations but never seem to have any openings. I would avoid this place due to the lack of appeal of the campground combined with the relatively high crime rate in the general area. Update: I had someone comment on my negative rating citing the great golfing, walking trails, etc. Yes, I must admit that if you are a golfer, it's probably a very convenient place to stay. The problem is that you can't get in there during the prime golfing for swimming season. They don't take reservations during the prime season and are usually filled to the brink with permanent or long-term residents. It's pretty obvious when you see them permanent or semi-permanent structures erected on a large proportion of the camp sites. When my motorhome only gets 7 mile-per-gallon going downhill, why would I even think of driving there "just in case" they might have an opening available. It would cost me more to drive there on a whim than the stay itself. Additionally, when I interacted with the office staff, I never got a welcoming feel but felt they were standoffish to those of us who only wanted to stay a just few days. read more

It may be a nice park, but when you are traveling, you want the peace of mind that you have a space. The last thing someone wants is to travel 10 hours, then scramble around in a place you don't know, to find spot to park. At least make some spots available for reservation. read more
