This campground was small and quiet, and matched with the beautiful views it was really enjoyable. There are only around 30 sites here, squished between the coast and the main road. Each one has a bunch of space, though, and some privacy behind trees and bushes. There's a tent pad, picnic table, and fire pit at each site, although we were there during a fire ban. There was a nice bathroom that's an easy walk from any site, and a couple picnic pavilions as well. You can head to the Olympic trail from this campground, which stretches for a few hundred miles. You can also walk down to a boat launch and take in the view by the water. We were really pleased with this beautiful quiet campground and it was a great way to start our trip.

Based on what I saw and did there with a friend, I wouldn't go back, as my main goal is to be and appreciate the beach. This park has tennis courts, basketball court, and ball fields, along with 3 rec areas for rent for a group. You will have to pay to camp/RV here and showers. There's a paved trail. Dogs are allowed but have to remain on leash.

This is the ideal to place to kick back and relax. The cabins are all situated in a way that you don't really notice the other guests. The owners are great, very nice and respectful. The first time there, Lavon gave us a tour of all the cabins when we were scouting places for my boyfriend's sister's wedding. She ended up choosing a place on the peninsula but my boyfriend and I returned here shortly after the wedding because we liked it so much. On the return trip we met the other owner briefly, she saw us out for a walk with our dogs petted them and then we didn't see another soul again for the remainder of our stay. Staying here is like staying at a family member or friend's cabin. It's homey, comfortable and feels lived in. Each cabin has it's own unique decor and feel. They are clean but not hospital sterile. If you're looking for an on-call front desk and team of staff waiting on you, this isn't the place for you. If you want a place to marvel at your surroundings, breath in fresh air, and enjoy some piece and quite with your dogs, you won't find a place better than this.

Cons (1/5 Overall, Accuracy & Value; 2/5 Check-in & Cleanliness): * Listing Errors: Advertised 3 bedrooms but had 4. No "garden" view. Just weeds. Welcome binder stated we may have to fold dryer laundry & unload dishwasher at check-in. Unannounced early morning septic truck pumping. * Safety Hazards: Yellowjackets at front door flew in my son's face. Flexing, unsafe stair tread. Unmounted smoke alarm on microwave. Fire ext. out of reach. Audible electrical buzzing light switch. Hazardous side entry down steep, narrow stairs. * Habitability: Central AC failed (cooled 2° in 3 hrs). Upstairs kids' window jammed shut (no egress). Downstairs shower sprayed across shower due to suction cup mount. Musty basement w/ live/dead bugs. Broken dishwasher rack track. Main floor window wouldn't lock.

I was planning to spend this weekend with my two children at a lovely cabin in Port Angeles,…read moremanaged by Sequim Valley Properties. Our plan was to spend the whole weekend outside. Unfortunately, due to massive fires in California and Oregon, the air in Western Washington became unhealthy and I made the difficult decision to cancel our trip. I first attempted to reschedule the trip to mid-October, hoping that by pushing our trip back, we'd be out of fire season and able to enjoy the outdoors. This was met by a phone call from Simone at Sequim Valley Properties, who accused me of overreacting, and berated me for the last minute cancellation and for requesting "all kinds of accommodations" (I had literally only asked if I could bring our family dog). She told me she would let me reschedule to mid-October, but only if I could guarantee that there would be no changes to the reservation. Since that's not a guarantee I could make (I am unfortunately not capable of predicting the future), and she was making me feel VERY uncomfortable to the point where I dreaded having to interact with her for a future vacation, I opted instead to cancel my reservation altogether. My girls and I will unfortunately never get to enjoy the lovely cabin in Port Angeles; at least not while Sequim Valley Properties is managing it. Simone's behavior was completely unacceptable. I'm not going to tolerate abuse from a property manager because of extenuating circumstances, and am certainly not going to give them any future business.

We also thought it was thoughtful the heat had been turned up before we arrived. Have stayed in a few of this company's vacay rentals, and they are all unique and comfortable. The website is really easy to use and book through - lots of reviews and photos, to find the house that's just right. I saw another reviewer had trouble getting forgotten items returned. I had the opposite experience - got my items back in a reasonable time period. I'm sure that is the biggest pain for these property managers! I just love coming to Sequim and trying out different spots to take in the mountains and the ocean views. Simone has like 30 properties to choose from!
