It was honestly the best decision for the wedding I ever made and Katrina at Love Blooms was the best person I could have gone with! I started looking into having a day of coordinator about 8 months or so before our wedding and was blown away by some of the quotes we had received. There was no way I could afford that. However, Katrina's prices are much more reasonable and well worth every cent! I met with Katrina in person about 6 months before the wedding and we talked through my thoughts for the day. She also helped calm my nerves and give me some direction on some ideas I had but didn't know how to follow through on them. Starting about a month or two before the wedding she really helped with more of the details, telling me what might be missing in my day of timeline and items like that. Honestly, with very little direction I told her everything that needed to be set up and she did it all, amazingly, exactly as requested. She attended our rehearsal and told everyone in attendance that from here on out, if they have a question, they should go to her instead of the bride and groom. I could have kissed her! The wedding day went off beautifully and she was somehow magically there whenever I had a question about something, which honestly was very rarely because everything was perfect, mainly thanks to her hard work. And THANK GOD I did. From our very first meeting she was very professional, thinking of potential scenarios that had not even occurred to me. She came to the rehearsal which turned out to be very valuable since my church was less than experienced with wedding proceedings. On the day of my wedding, Katrina did all the set-up at the reception (I basically handed her a bunch of trinkets/decorations and her creative eye made the room look better than I could have ever imagined), fixed my father's boutonniere when it snapped in two, shuffled flowers from the church to the reception in the pouring rain, counted cupcakes for me during one of my bridezilla moments, cleaned up at the end of the night, and I'm sure much more that I was not even aware of! She thought of so many extra things such as taking the personalized labeled wine bottles home with her because she knew (even before I did!) that I would want to keep them as a memento. She not only took care of me and my husband, but she also looked after my guests. She even drove a couple of my friends home when their taxi never showed up! Amazing. Her attention to detail is impeccable and she is very trustworthy and thoughtful. I am grateful beyond words that she was there to make everything run smoothly so that my husband, family, guests and I could enjoy the day. She is an excellent coordinator worth far more than she charges. I recommended her wholeheartedly to anyone considering hiring a wedding coordinator. Judy and Carol helped to plan my first daughter's wedding on 8/20/2011. I interviewed several…read morewedding planners and went with them because I liked that there were two of them. My daughter and now son-in-law also interviewed them and we all agreed that they were the best. I'll be honest, at first I was a little worried. Not because of anything they were or weren't doing, but because I'm a control freak Plus type A personality and wanted my daughter's wedding day to be perfect. So, I ended up stepping on toes and trying to do things on my own when I should have listened to the wedding planners and sat back and relaxed. Judy and Carol convinced me however that they had EVERYTHING under control and I did become convinced that they did. Nearing the last month and the two weeks before the wedding is when so many of the final details are wrapped up and they are on top of it. So, if you hire them, don't worry, they have it under control. The day of the wedding when we arrived, Carol and Judy were just finishing up the set-up and it was GORGEOUS!!! Also, we had a bit of a fiasco with a hotel that we had lined up and the shuttle service. Judy made many calls on our behalf and we ended up going to a different hotel and hiring a Royal Coach Bus for 57 passengers to take our guests from the Sheraton in Pleasanton to the Crooked Vine Winery in Livermore. This worked out perfectly and made the evening so enjoyable for everyone because they didn't have to worry about driving. I will say that when my next daughter gets married, I will definitely be hiring Carol and Judy again! Going into a wedding, you think you only have to hire people but there are so many details, many that you don't even think about. I loved all their vendors and will be writing separate reviews on that. Their floral person did an awesome job!!!! On the wedding day they stayed until the very end and had all the gifts and everything loaded into our vehicle already. This was so nice because my husband and I could spend time with our guests instead of running around making sure everything was going right. I highly recommend Carol and Judy for your wedding planners! Worth every penny!
