She entered my property during a showing and proceeded to criticize my home and listing in front of potential buyers, making negative faces and unprofessional remarks. It was shocking and disrespectful. A realtor's job is to represent properties honestly and respectfully -- not to bash someone's home in front of clients. This kind of behavior reflects terribly on both her and the company that employs her. It's unacceptable that the company allows someone with such poor professionalism and manners to represent their brand. If you care about professionalism, respect, and integrity in real estate, I would look elsewhere.

Their brokers' reprehensible conduct forced us into a frustrating, expensive, stressful legal…read morebattle in which the court decided in our favor on all counts. We purchased an expensive home in Santa Fe in 2005 in which French & French Fine Properties/Sotheby's agents represented both the buyers and sellers. They sued us in 2009 to strong-arm us into solving a problem with another client on an adjacent lot that began prior to our purchase. FFFP/Sotheby s helped cause this problem, hid it from us at the time of purchase, and expected us to bear the burden with no consideration or fair compensation. They forced the issue to trial by an unwillingness to engage in any reasonable settlement offer. The district court judge found their agents' testimony not credible, that their commission was obtained through material misrepresentation and that our broker, Neil Lyon, wanted no liability for his conduct as a broker. FFFP, now operating solely as Sotheby's and still employing the same brokers that negligently misled us, are still abusing us through the legal process. Most recently they appealed to deny us the ability to recover our significant legal costs awarded by the court--around $250,000--as well as other damages. Imagine being forced to use your savings to fight corporate bullies for over 3 years. There are other, better choices for real estate brokers in Santa Fe. Here's a consumer tip learned from this experience: choose "agency" broker, not "transaction" broker. Agency brokers are obligated to provide more fiduciary responsibility, strangely enough at the same commission rate.
