quality and amount of food you receive. I was in and out of Poke Bros in less than ten minutes. The bowl was delicious and won't hesitate to go back. This location is very small, there are no tables to eat in, but it was quick and filling and priced right. If you want more of a date night/business meeting atmosphere, go to the sister location in The Vista. If you are looking for a quick lunch that's healthy in 5 points, go to this location. Food is dynamite, the fish is fresh, and the price is right. If you haven't been, go!

to choose from. Chen, the owner, was extremely friendly and made some amazing suggestions based off of what I usually like on sushi in general. In all honesty, you get your money's worth when you REALLY think about how much it cost to get one specialty sushi roll elsewhere ($12/ $13) vs. a big bowl of it. Overall the service was great, you get your money's worth, and the food of course was very fresh and fantastic. Other than the fact that it has no seating and it is tucked away on the side of a building, it is a hidden gem. I can't speak for everyone, but I had a great experience and will DEFINITELY be back for more!

To my knowledge the Poke Bros location on Lincoln St is the only one where you can get Ramen. I had been here several times before for lunch with my co-workers (pre-pandemic) and we always enjoyed our meals. I came this time with my 2 teenage sons who had never had real Ramen before and they enjoyed it as much as I did. They both had the Miso Ramen with shrimp and devoured every bite of it. Highly recommended if you are in the mood for Ramen.

Holy moly this place is amazing. I love ahi tuna so much, especially marinated ahi tuna, so I've been interested to try a poke bowl for awhile now and today I finally accomplished this goal! Poke Bros is located in 5 Points; it is set-up Chipotle / Moe's style where you walk through a line of pre-diced foods and choose what you would like added to your bowl. I decided to use one of their predetermined recipes to start mine -- I chose the Da Kine with a salad base and added avocado. On top of scooping marinated tuna, avocado, salad greens, seasoned seaweed, masago, and sweet onion, they add these delicious sauces to this dish as well that make it so juicy and flavorful. While a bit pricey for a casual lunch at $14 including tax, this was one of the most refreshing lunches I've ever had. The flavors worked together so well and every component tasted fresh. I'll definitely return.

Quick, fresh, and delicious! Poke Bros is one of my favorite spots in Columbia & Lexington. I've been many times and it has never disappointed - the staff is consistently friendly, the service is quick, and the poke bowls are always fresh. The location is clean and well-maintained - wish the Five Points spot had more seating! It's a great fast casual option in the build-your-own tradition. They offer a number of high-quality protein options, including chicken and tofu, if seafood isn't really your thing. I especially love the shrimp - it's always fresh, plump, and delicious. The spicy tuna and salmon are great, too! Various vegetable toppings round out the build-your-own experience - avocado, edamame, ginger, and seaweed salad are a few of my favorites. Don't skip the OG sauce and sriracha aioli - the sauces are great additions to any bowl.

I was really excited when I first heard that this place was opening up. Columbia would finally be getting its first Poke restaurant! However, my initial visit yesterday kinda left me disappointed. First off, the restaurant is a little hard to find. It's in a random side street off Greene Street that is after Publico, but before Cellar on Greene. For parking, there was a lot of spots in the lot behind Cellar on Greene if the street meters are full. Once you get inside, the place is pretty small and since they are a go to restaurant, there are no tables and no public bathrooms. The Food: You can either create your own bowl or order one of their preset bowls. I created my own bowl and made a Spicy Salmon Poke Bowl with Cucumber, Sweet Onions, Green Onions, Tofu, Avocado, and Sriracha Aioli Sauce topped with Sesame Seeds, Tempera Flakes, and Crispy Onions. My friend got a vegetarian Poke Bowl with Tofu, Avocado, Carrots, Cucumbers, Pineapples, and Cashew Nuts. The bowls tasted good and the fish was fresh, but my problem with them is the small portion of your "protein" that they give you which is just one small tiny scoop. To compensate, they put a lot of rice into the bowl to make it look more full. Moreover, they charge for some toppings (e.g. seaweed and masago) that are usually free at other Poke places that I've been to. The service was fine and worked pretty quickly like an assembly line. If you aren't familiar with Poke, the employees are pretty nice about it. Overall, I think they place is worth a try if you like sushi since it's the only Poke restaurant in town, but they have a lot of room for improvement.

I was super excited to hear a poke place was opening up in town, and Poke Bros did not disappoint. It's tucked in the back of a building, and parking was a little confusing, because there were a lot of reserved spots in the lot. I ordered the Duke with an extra scoop of spicy salmon. Total came out to be $17.xx, but I was more than happy to pay it, because fresh fish is not cheap in these parts. I got plenty of ingredients in my poke bowl and had plenty left over to make two meals out of one bowl. Service was super quick and friendly, and I'll definitely be back. Not sure if this location does punchcards, but if so, I missed my first punch I'll definitely be back, and I hope this place stays, because I love poke.

Rating: 4.5/5. This awesome and affordable Poke Bross. opened in April 2017. I build my own $10 poké bowl with sushi-grade salmon, warm brown rice, vegetables (fresh avocado, etc.), crushed cashew nuts, sesame seeds, homemade OG and sweet soy sauces and +$.50 masago. This casual restaurant to go ran out of pineapple. The size portion was extremely generous: It was about one serving and a quarter of other poké places I tried. The $9.50 Johnny Utah was fine. The sriracha aioli was only slightly spicy. Due to this sauce, I will probably try another Poké bowl next time. The staff was efficient and friendly. There is no seating area in this to go place. The storefront is at a bottom of a building. The storefront is perpendicular to the main street. There is ample free or metered parking nearby.

The only poke place in Columbia. It's always a hit or miss for me because they are pretty stingy about giving only five pieces of the protein I choose (usually salmon or tuna). The prices is around 10-12 bucks which is kinda expensive for a college student but I always keep going back to this place. Would come back for my sushi fix! Update: Since Freshe Poke opened in the Vista, I have not been here since. They do not charge extra for masago, crab sticks, and seaweed salad there. But overall the pricing is the same for both of them if you were to pay for those items are poke bro. Also Poke bro always slips maybe four or five pieces of the fish itself. why pay for that when I know freshe poke can give me more? Step it up Poke Bros.

I have to say that one of the best parts about this poke bowl situation is the fact that you can basically make up you're own sushi. No seaweed roll up stuff. I'm definitely a sushi lover, so don't think I'm dogging it by any means. It's like going from burrito to burrito bowl and it just feels right. I got the Hula which has shrimp, cucs, avocados, and some other great stuff. Do you shake it up like a burrito bowl, I'm not sure but it could work. No where to sit, but great lil to-go place for a fresh meal.

SUPER HARD TO FIND! My first time in Columbia SC, and I desperately wanted poke. It's especially difficult if you've never been in this area before. I found this place on Yelp and used the address above, and tried to read other's reviews on how to find it. I think if you use GPS, it will say that it's in the main Five Points plaza near Starbucks, but it's actually in the plaza with Andy's Deli across the street. Spent 15 mins trying to find the place. Once you get across the street, Poke Bros is all the way at the end. Once inside, it's clean and the food seems fresh. No seating inside though. FOOD: Fish is very fresh and all toppings are vibrant and crisp. I had a custom bowl: brown rice, salmon, edamame, seaweed salad (extra), green onions, ginger, sesame seeds, crispy onions, ponzu/sweet soy sauce, Sriracha on the side. My bowl was delicious, just wished I had more of it. It's definitely worth a visit. They charge for the "popular" toppings which is unheard of for me since other poke places have unlimited toppings except avocado. The portion of rice is big, but the fish for protein is cut smaller than other places. So, you end up paying more $11-14 for less fish than another place (usually $8-11) But since there aren't a lot of Poke restaurants around, it makes sense to charge more. 3 stars for location, and small amount of fish. Wish I could give 3.5 since it was quite tasty, satisfying, and healthy.

I was super excited for this place to open. I felt sick after trying out a custom marinated tuna bowl. The portion of actual fish was very small compared to the rice and toppings you choose. My bowl cost $12 which I thought I'd get more fish. I might try coming back and see if it was just one bad experience but that's still up in the air. read more

I had NO idea of what to order and they were extremely helpful! Great Customer service is hard to find these days but they exceeded it! I made my own bowl and simply added things I liked. They also made suggestions and were able to explain what some items were that I was not familiar with. The food was fresh and amazing! I was full but I wasn't miserable and that put the icing on the cake for my experience. I'm excited that they will deliver soon and will definitely tell others about them. read more

Just stuffed my face here for lunch. Got a bowl of spicy tuna on a salad base with avocado, green onions and ginger coconut sauce. Both the tuna and avocado were heaping portions. Don't know if they started being more generous after reviews of small servings or if I had a heavy handed server but I ate every bite and couldn't eat one more! 4.5/5 Quick and fast. Something different for Five Points. I've been twice and enjoyed it both times. I will say it can get a little pricey when you add what you'd actually want in there, but for the most part it's price-competitive with the area. I wish they maybe had half-size/smaller bowls for a lower price point. read more

Quick Read: Some of the friendliest people in town, and some darn good food! After a long day of work, I stopped in to get a quick and filing dinner. The two people behind the counter were extremely helpful and pointed me in the right direction. The poke was outstanding and SO fresh. Seriously the most satisfying dinner I've had in Columbia to date. The food is exceptionally priced, especially when you consider the ingredients involved. I'll be coming back here often...probably too often...but I'm not seeing a problem with that. read more

Visited this place right before Fourth of July and it wasn't busy at all. The food was beautifully laid out for choosing specific items. There were 5 options of premade bowls but we decided to make our own. I got a few items with the poke with spicy mayo. We decided to get the rice separate because we were driving back to charleston and didn't want the poke to cook on the rice. My parents got the poke with soy sauce, salmon, and shrimp combo. I would say that the poke was good tasting but they don't give you much of it in their bowls. It isn't as good as the ones you can get in Hawaii but for the cost of a plane ticket there, this was as good as its going to get. They don't have a place to sit down in there so it's grab and go. read more

This place is a hidden gem. The second you walk in, you can tell everything is super fresh. The environment is small but clean. The lady at the counter was very helpful with me as I was new to the place, and I decided to get The Duke: a bowl with rice, tuna, salmon, cucumber, onion, edamame, seaweed salad, sauces and cashews. Finally a healthy fast food option in cola!! This place is awesome! I made my own bowl and asked to try all 3 types of tuna (as one portion size). Turned out they gave me a ton of tuna! I had tuna, avocado, seaweed, edamame, ginger, lettuce, cashews, and house sauce ALL for 13 bucks! That's a steal if u ask me, this bowl is massive and will be at least 2 meals for me. A tiny roll of sushi at publix is $7. I will be a regular:) read more

My boyfriend and I have been loyal customers of Poke Bros for over a year. We always had a positive experience both with the food and service up until our last visit. The gentleman working was extremely rude. He rolled his eyes multiple times while we were ordering and ignored several requests for additional toppings. In the past we were given large portions of fish and toppings, but this time, our bowls were barely half-filled. Not worth the $12 per bowl. I don't think we will be returning to the Greene Street Poke bar, but the Poke Bros in the Vista is great! The service has been awesome the several times we've been there and the food is always plentiful. Freshe Poke is a solid choice, too. read more

I've been wanting to try this place out for awhile and man I'm glad I did! I've been to poke places in other cities but haven't found one in Columbia to now! I will say it's difficult to find but if you park in front of pita pit in a metered parking spot and look across the street you'll see steps that will take you right to it! The inside is really small but it is very clean and you're greeted right at the door! I got two proteins, greens as my base, and a few other toppings! The salmon and tuna were delicious, huge, and fresh! I'll definitely be back soon! read more

I absolutely love this place! Incredibly fresh & healthy... plus it's super easy to order a quick lunch and run back to the office without wasting any time. It's a little tricky to find the place on your first trip but once you know where you're headed, parking is convenient. The establishment is very clean inside and the staff is always super friendly. I always get lettuce as my base but the bowl is still very filling. Plus, I love that you can split the protein between 2 choices without an upcharge. I usually frequent the place at least once or twice a week! Super addicting!!! read more

Poke Brothers is one of my favorite places in Columbia for a take out lunch. I mostly get the vegetarian so it's a bowl of really fresh vegetables that are all very tasty. This is a more than adequate lunch, I might put the bowl in the fridge after eating half and finish it later. Yet I can feel full but not gain any weight, always a good point. Hoping that Poke Brothers does well so I can visit once a week. read more

Poke Bros is the place to go to get a filling meal without feeling guilty about your choices! My go to bowl is the Hula bowl, but there are so many options you could go almost everyday and never repeat! Service is usually very prompt and there is hardly ever a line longer than 3ish people. The average meal is probably $10-$12, so you won't be breaking the bank or your diet with this lunch! I've done their delivery once; if you're going this route plan ahead because they can take upwards of an hour. read more

Every single time I've eaten here I've ended up with a stomach ache. There's just something off in the taste of the food here. I'm not sure if it's the rice, or how they keep their fish and shrimp, or what--but sometimes it's just gross. Nothing tastes fresh here, and everything has a weird aftertaste and leaves me with a nauseated feeling. I LOVE sushi and poke, just not from here! I'm a student at Carolina but I'll just stick to sushi and check out the new poke place that opened up. read more

I was really excited to try this place for lunch because I love sushi and tuna and all the fun toppings that go with it. I ordered the Dakine signature bowl since it was my first time and I didn't want too many choices. It looked beautiful coming out and I had high hopes...it ended up being the saltiest dish I have ever eaten! It tastes like an overload of soy sauce. I'm sure all the components separate would have been better but together it was just TOO much. read more

I haven't experienced poke except in California and this place in Columbia, SC far exceeds any poke bowl I've had yet. You pick your base -white or brown rice or lettuce. I usually pick avocado, onion, spicy tuna, marinated tuna, crab, and tempura flakes as my toppings and siracha mayo as the finishing touch. I've had this twice now and both times it was well worth the $15 price tag. I remember being a bit shocked st the price, but considering all of the fresh ingredients, it's actually a fair price. I will be back frequently for a healthy lunch! read more

They were all so sweet and really went above and beyond to make sure it was a high-quality experience.
