    VIP Lobster Ramen $24.99
    Aerica W.

This new family-owned poke place is located on the upper levels of the New Westminster skytrain platform, right around the corner to Landmark Cinema's. Super friendly staff (shoutout to Siwon!), who was super sweet and patient with my order when I had difficulties deciding. Around 4 tables available for dine in, and the garbage can is not available during COVID-19, so you just leave your garbage on the table and a staff member will come by to clean it up afterwards. 10% discount with proof of a same day movie ticket (from New West Landmark Theatre only), so it's a great meal to grab before or after a movie. My order: Aburitto (Seafood): Aburi + Burrito = Aburitto HIGHLY recommend this flame torched seafood on a bed of rice, wrapped in tortilla with teriyaki and spicy mayo. They definitely don't cheap out on the aburi, as they torch the seafood on all sides on a plate before loading it into the tortilla. Pretty filling too, as I could only finish half of it for lunch. I think it comes in chicken as well. It does get quite messy, and the sauce dries and sticks to the outer packaging wrap, so I'd recommend eating it right away to fully enjoy it. Small Bowl (Custom): Nothing inherently unique or special about the topping offerings, but it is super fresh with pretty good portions for the poke bowls. --- I went back to try their VIP Lobster Bowl ($24.99): It has a very flavourful and rich seafood broth. It comes with two jumbo prawns, and a lot (at least 10-15) small shrimp. I think the shrimp was also seared, as there are some faint char marks and tasted extra smoky and delicious. The soup looks pretty red, but it really isn't that spicy - I had it regular spicy (which is shown in the pictures), but I believe you can ask for a spicier version as well. Ramen noodle portions were good, and the texture was a good firmness - I had it dine-in. If you're not a huge fan of lobster and/or don't want to pay extra for it, they have a Spicy Ramen which is basically the same thing without the lobster tail. I'd highly recommend this.

First time trying, ordered the Gangnam Bowl via delivery Taste 1/2* We'll balanced dish, lots of roe, good amount of salmon, and very cohesive dish. Personally would've preferred no pineapple, less onion, and a touch more sauce, but overall enjoyable. Freshness 1/1* Definitely one of the fresher pokes I've had,m Value 1/1* Big hefty bowl, for the freshness and taste, worth it. Overall/Revisit 1/1* Yes would revisit, next time maybe try the club size, amount of protein on the pics makes me salivate

One of my top 3 poke places! as of June 17 when I last went the staff were wearing masks. The customer service was amazing and I really enjoyed my experience here because of that. I think the price of poke has definitely increased over the years but compared with quality and quantity, this place was worth it. I had got the regular poke bowl with three proteins and it tasted fresh and well flavored. I think the best way to get there is via the station as it is at the New Westminster platform and you can dine in or do a quick takeout. Next time I am there I would love to try the lobster dishes!

So food for me is 5 stars! I gave 4 stars because of the lack of access to a bathroom. I have a family member who has Crohn's disease so I wish it's be better to have a rather accessible loo for this location. If you're reading this is you have some sort of a same problem across the street in the quay market is your best bet of bathroom access! It's quite a walk so give yourself time, to which you have to climb up a pedestrian bridge. Ok back to the poke club! I really enjoyed this place. This is my first time eating poke. I've walked other poke restaurants and I'm just never interested with it. I like this small place, it's nice and clean and the staff are friendly! I ordered the VIP a lobster the regular size! I like how garlicky the shrimp tasted and the rice is infused with some sort of teriyaki sauce and what looks like furikake to me. The toppings consisted of pineapple, green onions and crunchy onions. My family ordered the large portion of VIP lobster which was shared by two. It had the same rice mix I had. It came with lobster, avocado, crunchy onions, purple cabbage, seared tuna, edamame, some seaweed stuff, and this mixture of peanut butter infused tuna. Which I really liked, however I found it salty. Nonetheless I still liked it! Personally I like my food separated amongst each other and this is a step for me. Example I don't like my rice having too much sauce in it, I use rice to balance it with my entrée. Would I come back to dine here again? Yes I would and I definitely recommend it for any one who likes to try poke. As a first timer for poke bowl place it's a bit too much for me however knowing a little bit more about what to order will help me in the future! :)

Very convenient spot for poke as it's just a few steps from the New West skytrain stop. High quality ingredients and they really fill your bowl. They have a lot more than just poke. They also offer ramen bowls too. It's a clean restaurant, good service and lots of seating too. Can't wait to be back!

New West has a new poke shop in the city and they are opened with some awesome perks during their their grand opening in late September! Fortunately my husband had the day off and had the opportunity to take advantage of their grand opening freebies and 50% off promo on the signature bowls! So we took advantage of this promo and ordered the VIP Bowl (orig $44.95)! It's stacked! And I mean it! It has all the premium proteins like LOBSTER, ahi tuna, salmon and prawns! And it comes with a truffle mayo for the lobster! There's a lot going on in this bowl and definitely for those who love the best and enjoys adding just about everything in their bowl! We also got the Gangnam bowl as the freebie and it had a lot of flavour to it too with a generous amount of rice. Overall a great option for poke with the convenience of movie theatres and sky train station around the corner!

Gangnam Bowl & Spicy Noodle Bowl
    Melody L.

I recently checked out a new poke shop in located New Westminster by the SkyTrain station. I tried the Gangnam Bowl and Spicy Noodle Bowl. The Gangnam Bowl is composed of spicy salmon, pineapple, corn, masago, green onion, crispy onions, and drizzled with Gangnam Style sauce. The ingredients were fresh and the portion size was decent. For all poke rice bowls, you have the option of choosing white rice or brown rice. This bowl was definitely the ultimate taste of Hawaii and Seoul! However, I did find the sauce a tad too spicy so if you can't handle spicy, you should definitely ask them for alternative options! The Spicy Noodle Bowl is composed of a ramen noodles, salmon, spring mix, onion, green onion, cucumber, corn, topped with a poached dgg, kimchi, crispy garlic, crispy onion and drizzled with some club hot sauce. The ramen noodles were not the traditional chewy ramen noodles. They were on the softer side. The poached egg was cooked to perfection and had a nice runny center. The ingredients were fresh and the portion size was decent. This bowl definitely took a different take than the traditional poke bowl! Overall, I really enjoyed my poke bowls and would definitely love to come back and try their VIP bowls. : 8/10

If you like soba or cold Japanese noodle, get the kale noodles. It tasted like soba to me. Refreshing change from the warm rice when the weather is hot. The house sauce with the noodle is yums. The small looks like it is very little food, but it is pretty filling. Perfect if you want a light meal or not feeling like you have overstuffed yourself.

Dropped by the area to go see a movie at the awesome theatre with all the recliner chairs. I had no idea what I was going to do for dinner beforehand though. Hadn't had a Poke bowl in a while and decided to check it out since there was no line. Am definitely glad I decided to drop by. I think the first thing that stands out from my experience here was that I definitely had a lot of fun just mulling over what I wanted and created as close to my desired bowl of poke as I could get. I appreciate how you for sure get more food as you pick a larger size. I went for the large and got two generous scoops of brown rice plus salad along with my 4 choices of protein. Super happy with the amount of protein as I love fish and it was nice to get a lot. My next surprise was that ahi tuna was on the menu and didn't cost extra since that seems to be standard at most places. Went for double scoop of salmon, tuna, and scallop. It was nice to be able to choose a variety and try a bit of everything. There's a fair amount of options to mix-in and was happy I could go nuts. Got the pineapple, corn, kale, edamame, and cilantro. I wasn't sure about the sauce but the staff encouraged me to try a mix of shoyu and ponzu. It was a bit strange but I got around on seeing the staff mixing sauce and the greens with their hands. I'm not sure if there's any benefit to doing so but I can't really see a negative. Finished off with two servings of crab meat. It was really delicious when I got to take my first bites. Having had so much poke, this one was probably at worst one of my most enjoyable ones. The dish as a whole felt really fresh and relaxing to chow down on. I liked how they layered everything so I could take a bit of the rice, salad, fish, or extras without making a mess or having to dig through. I could grab a spoonful of multiple things at once. I didn't have high expectations going in and I've had so much poke before but I was really happy with the meal I got. Plus, the staff were super friendly and nice to all the customers and in keeping the location well cleaned and ready. I struggle to come up with a negative even when I'm trying my hardest to nitpick. For the food that they prepare and serve, I have no real complaints. Wanting certain things on the menu isn't a legitimate criticism and even then I don't know what I'd want to see. This is probably as good of a poke place as you can get. At worst you're getting a very good meal. Definitely recommend people check this out on their way to the movies. A super filling meal and worth the extra dollars over other nearby options.

Saw the sign that we can get our first poke bowl for half price with the app. We downloaded and ordered a "pick ur own adventure" Poke bowl with 4 toppings. The bowl is ready in 15 minutes. There's a lot of toppings and assorted items. The salmon and scallops are fresh and tasty. I picked the OG sauce - tasted like a sweeter soy sauce? The brown rice wasn't overcooked. Anyways, Love it for the half price - really good deal. Not sure if I'll pay for it full price.

I'm glad to see the Poke craze expand to New Westminster. This place is located right in the New West Skytrain (also many other food options). I had the medium OG tuna bowl which was more than enough for dinner. It had 1.5 servings of rice and 3 proteins plus lots of addons. Also the staff was very friendly and helpful. The place was very clean. I'll definitely come back.

    Spicy salmon poke (small)
    Rosemarie T.

I haven't been able to stop by because I was always deterred by the lineups from Skytrain rushes. I decided to stop by because I haven't had poke in a while. I got the spicy salmon poke in a small size as they were promoting it for $9.95 ($2 cheaper than their other small bowls). Here, I got unlimited side options for my bowl outside of the proteins. There were some preset options involved like chili sauce and chili flakes that I could say yes or no to. There were also things added to it that I didn't agree to, but I didn't point it out because it wasn't that big of a deal. The chili sauce was sweet with a decent amount of heat. The small size bowl left me not entirely full, so you could definitely add a miso soup or dessert and be okay. It was on the pricier end for the amount that I received if it had been at regular price, but the poke was enjoyable. I suggest coming by when it's not too busy, you'll get what you want and have a place to sit.

Conveniently located at New Westminster skytrain. Although we drove here and so we had to pay for parking. The menu is quite extensive with different ingredients. They great thing about this place is that they offer 2 proteins for one bowl. Usually you only get 1 protein at other poke shops. I ended up ordering the spicy salmon and tuna. I decided to opt out for the set ingredients bowl and instead, I chose all the ingredients. I ended up with pretty much all the ingredients available! Plenty of sauces at the end to choose from. It was a good amount of food here and kept me satisfyingly full. I would definitely come back again!
