Oh man, you would need a super GOOD luck if a property you want to purchase is listed by this company, especially by someone like P.G. (seems like he moved on to MetLife Home Loans) This man sucked at negotiating, throws temper, hangs upon you at phone conversations, and told buyers what's not his job. It was so unpleasant to deal with the man, yet his manager nor his co-workers at the office didn't offer any help to us, so that my agent wanted me to find some other property to purchase. For instance, he hung up on me in the middle of conversation about appliance having scratches. After my first offer was rejected, he didn't call back to me to let me know when the property had been offered at lowered price. He incorrectly told me which parking spots are taken for what reasons, also incorrectly informed me what and when I can do remodeling with my space. I did purchased from the guy anyway because of all other factors such as the property itself, and I did learn lies that he told me here and there afterwords through other residents, like some parking spots were already taken when I wanted, etc...The others too have told me what he said to them and what manipulations they found... Do you consider little lies are okay for property sales agent to tell? Should home buyers decide what kind of lies are acceptable or not? Anyway, I have realized that first time buying home was such exciting event and that he and this office ruined such moment for me, and I wish to do/deal with nice agents in the future. read more

My husband and I worked with Henry Lee of Polaris Pacific over a period of 6 months. Henry was our contact and sellers agent for a property that we purchased directly from the builder. Henry is pleasant, informed, and a pleasure to work with. He was upfront about the process and expenses involved, and his input regarding which plan to purchase was helpful and well-intentioned. We never felt pressured and our emails were replied to in a timely manner. Henry made sure we were always in the know. The other agents at Polaris, Nancy and Vicky come to mind, were friendly and welcoming, even though we were not directly working with them. Our experience was great from start to end. The day I stepped into One Marina Community (Redwood City, CA) till the point I closed my house, the entire selling team treated me very well. I mainly dealt with Senka Foster, who was always available for all my questions/inquiries. She was very cooperative and helpful. Just an advice, we bought this property without a real estate agent. The team was very helpful and explained us the entire contracting process in detail. Never felt the need of a real estate agent during the purchasing process. Let's face it, the thought of buying a home seems terrifying. The thought of buying your first home with no clue on what you are doing seems insane. That was until we met Wendy from Polaris Pacific. It wasn't just our initial experience with her that made us come back. It was her continued support from both her and Loring to answer our questions, concerns, and just made it not feel like a stressful process. It never once felt like a "sales" process...I know that sounds cliche but could not be more true with our experience. I can safely say that I don't know if we would live in such a beautiful place if it wasn't for the help we received from everyone at Polaris. This review is for the design arm of Polaris Pacific in San Francisco. I had a horrendous experience with this company, specifically design consultant Sheri Calvert. I purchased a condominium in a new building represented by Polaris Pacific Sales and was referred to Ms. Calvert for assistance in building out my closets. Ms. Calvert recommended California Closets. I signed a contract with Polaris Pacific and paid Polaris in full for the closet systems--I had to wait until two months after I moved into the property for the buildout to be scheduled. On the installation date, arranged by Ms. Calvert, the California Closets' installer pierced a building pipe, and my home was deluged with water for nearly an hour causing significant damage, rendering it unlivable--I had to move out while water remediation and repairs took place. Ms. Calvert's response to this disaster was: "California Closets is the party responsible for this accident and will be handling the insurance." She showed no concern for me personally nor the extraordinary disruption this accident would cause me. Ms. Calvert was primarily concerned with her firm's liability. The day after the accident, unbeknownst to me, a conference call with Ms. Calvert, California Closets, and the water remediation company took place. After the call, Ms. Calvert sent me an email telling me that decisions had been made about next steps--without my knowledge or consent. For reasons unknown to me, Ms. Calvert took it upon herself to take the lead on repairs. She told me she had retained a moving company (with a poor reputation) which was moving my furniture in two days--an action that I did not approve. I had to convey to Ms. Calvert in a subsequent phone conversation that she in no way had the authority to dictate to me, the property owner, what the next actions were without my involvement. In short, for an employee of a company "that was not liable," she inserted herself as the lead representative for all repair work and water remediation. Unbelievably, Ms. Calvert also operated my washing machine without my knowledge or consent, disabling it. In short, Ms. Calvert acted in a grossly inappropriate manner. I expressed my concerns to her boss, Polaris Pacific Design Vice President Kathryn Baker, expecting, at bare minimum, an apology. Instead Ms. Baker doubled down, justifying all of Ms. Calvert's behavior. This is how Polaris Pacific treats its clients: I paid Polaris thousands of dollars in full, in advance of services that were not yet rendered. BE WARNED: DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY'S DESIGN SERVICES. read more

I purchased my first home through Polaris Pacific. I had a pretty long escrow cause the developer still needed to build my home. I must have visited the sales office at least 50 times during my escrow & the sales team always welcomed me with kindness! Jennifer was my main contact, she is incredibly patient, experienced, informative & incredibly hilarious! If I didn't have her, I would have been a nervous wreck! If she wasn't at the office, Hugh was up to speed with my needs!...That's definitely team work! I hope that if I ever buy new construction again that Jennifer and her team will be there! read more

My boyfriend and I are condo hunting and we saw an open house listing at 1188 Valencia appear on the MLS. Instead of going through our agent (which takes time to set up), we decided to check out the open house on our own today. Big mistake. The man who "greeted" us at the door could not have been more rude and lectured us for not making an appointment. When I pointed out that it did not say "by appointment only" on the MLS, he did not apologize, but proceeded to lecture us on all of our supposed missteps in showing up to the "open house". He finally let us in the door, having decided that we were serious enough home-buyers, but by that time I was so turned off that we turned around and left. What a horrible experience. Luckily, all of the real estate agents at the next condos we looked at were much nicer. It certainly does not reflect well on Polaris Pacific to employ such rude people. read more
