Meals are decent. guards are generally polite unless provoked. but DCSO cannot really be reviewed as one entity. There are so many moving parts that makes that machine work. I did not get along with the nurses at all, but i did take part in JBBS (jail based behavioral services) ran by Jennifer Cordova. She was great, it was the very first time i went to jail and felt like the guards, nurses, judges, and public-defenders were working at the rehabilitation of inmates. Not just punish them. Lets be real. nobody likes to go to jail. but of the jails ive been to, this is by far the cleanest with the most polite staff, after i left i was told that that my four prescriptions would be in my property in the form of a voucher. But this ended up being a lie or a mistake. I had vital meds that i must take daily to remain healthy, i give nurse mindy alone a 2/5 stars.

Aside from 2 very professional traffic ("alleged" speeding) pull overs, I've yet to be on the "other side" of these fine officers. The same can't be said regarding one particular relative, but that's a long bar conversation and a walk home. However, I do try to convince my Wife that I'm a "Bad Boy" at heart, but she's not buying it. Here's a few other experiences I've had with the Douglas County Sheriff's Department: 1. Free prescription meds drop off at the main HQ. The box is just beyond Security and the folks there have been most helpful in getting that job done. 2. Genoa Candy Dance and Western Heritage Days (including Horse Parade). Again very professional. 3. I'm a contributor to the The Douglas County Sheriff's Advisory Council. Other Comments 1. I'm a graduate of the Carson City Sheriff's Citizen's Academy and hope to do the same in Douglas County. This is a great learning opportunity. 2. Carson City Sherriff Ken Furlong is a master (in my opinion) at maintaining a nonpartisan approach to law enforcement and public outreach. I trust that our Sheriff has a similar line of action. 3. I'm on the Board of Temple Bat Yam in South Lake Tahoe and very much appreciate the Security efforts of the El Dorado County Sheriff's Office, which is just across the State Line from Douglas County.

Received a virtual number and went into the correct room. Short wait and Jenna assisted me. She was friendly and helpful. Guided me through the process. Made it fun. And took a good photo. She also let me know that I could do a walk in to get the title of my car changed. I went to Christine at the front information desk and she gave me a number. Went back to wait and Johanna assisted me. She was in training but all went smoothly. And friendly too. Walked out with all tasks completed. Now all I have to do is wait for the documents to come in the mail.

Turns out they told me to wait in the wrong room and had called my name but I never heard it called since again, I was instructed to wait in the wrong room. I was then told I would have to schedule another appointment for two weeks out, even though my license expires before then, due to their mess up. They were not willing to work with me in any way and the lady at the front desk was very condescending. It was the worst DMV experience I have ever had.

The town's Facebook page had published a run of show so we knew what time they planned to light the star. And within that time frame the star was lighted! Then the fireworks were set off. The show was fabulous! There were some fireworks I'd not seen before - golden squiggles. So beautiful. The show was nicely done and I was happy I got to see fireworks on my birthday weekend.

Dont expect locals to stop and help on the side of the road. Dont expect city vehicles to go only 5+ over speed limit or smile when you wave thanks. Dont expect anyone to help unless its friends...even family wont. Dont expect to head South in Summer on I25; or North to Denver any time of day in a reasonable amount of time. Dont expect cops to be nice if youre not local. Dont expect cops to listen. Dont expect DC Cares to care about anything. They're just working to get paid. Dont expect All Health Network to help. Dont expect to use Rampart Range...Denver dummies took over the weekends. Dont rely on anyone but friends.

It's not a reflection of the nice lady working, but the manager should make sure things are being taken care of in the front of the house. I've walked out 3 times while waiting in line over the past month, each while waiting almost 15 min and the line barely moves. Not sure why I keep coming back. Oh yeah, because it's the only post office in this town. FAIL!!!

I was arrested 2/3/2000. Yes, you see that date correctly! Arizona DPS won't give me a fingerprint…read morecard because of that arrest. I was let go with no charges. I called last week and gave the lady a pretty good laugh. Here is what I read to her, "Records indicate you were arrested and/ or fingerprinted for Marijuana on or about 2/3/00. DPS was unable to determine if you are awaiting trial. While the nice lady tried every which way to find me, she couldn't. The only thing that bothers me is that I have to pay for the proof that I'm not wanted/awaiting trial. I feel like they could just email the same thing for free.

It's a legit thing when Colorado State Patrol pulls you over…read more Look, I had no idea my new truck that I had bought 2 hours prior and test drove for only a few minutes on a city street would get t higher speeds so quickly on a highway. Also when you have a bigger truck with bigger tires your revolutions are different as well. Lidars , well, they aren't always accurate when scanning more than one vehicle on the road it's a grab all situation. I was paying attention to the road going at speed of other drivers in traffic. So I was pretty confused when I was pulled over. However, when I was speaking to the officer about all these items, he was very professional, completely exemplary in his interaction with me. I was thankful he told me to please slow down a bit and I am thankful he brought my speed to my attention. Officer Mathenae was trying to keep me safe and other people safe as well. I am extra appreciative of not getting a citation for going 6 miles above the limit.
