Some of the best food I have ever had. I was here last week on vacation and have missed it every day since then. The Polish Platter was a great sampling of some of the best stuff on the menu, and the Reuben was incredible - hearty portion size and packed full of flavor. The pork and bean soup reminded me of what my mom used to make, delicious and comforting. The cashier/server was a super nice guy and the kitchen had our food out extremely fast despite quite a few other big orders being in the queue. Everything is wonderful - Far Better than the famous Polish spot up in Cross Village. And I'm Polish, born in Hamtramck, lol! The golobki is just like my Mom used to make. Kielbasa could be a tiny bit spicier, pierogi could have a tiny bit thinner dough, but the fillings were excellent. Without a doubt, however the highlight here is the Zurek - Polish "whatever is in the kitchen pantry" soup. I could eat theirs every day. Don't be mislead by their strip mall spot. The Dill Pickle soup was a perfect way to start out with on this cold snowy day. Had some Kielbasa Sausage with sauerkraut and mustard, and it was fantastic. Rye bread had great flavor as well. To drink we had a good tasting, simple unsweetened ice tea. Service was very efficient. We will be back. read more

This place is great! Atmosphere is a normal restaurant. Clean, nothing fancy. But the food! Best Polish food I have had. Everything is well prepared and delicious. Best to call ahead since it tends to be busy in its limited hours. It's only open for lunch sadly, but the owner has kids and trouble getting a babysitter. I had a rough visit at the dentist nearby and was wanting to grab some food before heading home. I've always loved pierogis, so to find this shop so close was a delight! I was able to find the menu easily online, and when I walked in I found a few tables with older folks sitting inside. The shelves were decorated with the old olive and pepper jars from the 90s but gave an interesting European vibe to the place. I went to the front counter where the young man told me I could take a seat with a menu if needed but to order at the counter when ready. I ordered six potato cheddar pierogis with hot sauce and a drink, got the drink from the fountain and waited maybe a few minutes top for my food to arrive. These were so soft and tender with such a smooth filling, but still had a really nice crisp. A butter onion and bacon sauce adorned the top, a delightful mix with the Chalula provided to me. Upon leaving, I let the guy know that I could never go back to the frozen Mrs. Ts variety after trying theirs, and he laughed and said that's how they stay in business! When I let him know I wasn't local, he informed me that they sell them by the dozen in a variety of flavors. Naturally, I took two dozen home and they survived the car ride an hour and a half back north! Couldn't have been happier with this experience and I can't wait to go back to the dentist solely so I can stop here again. Great service, phenomenal food, and pre-pandemic pricing. We got takeout from this cute little restaurant back during our stay in late October during Covid. The food was amazing and we spent a few weeks in Eastern Europe (including Poland) a couple of years ago. The food was ready to go at the time it was ordered and the prices were really reasonable. Our group tried the schnitzel, the mixed pierogis, the borscht, the bigos/hunters stew, and the Rueben and it was all fantastic. The bigos and borscht were especially tasty and the Rueben was massive and delicious. I would certainly come back here and recommend to anyone. I should have ordered the apple cake but will just need to come back to try more. read more

The ambiance is NIL but the FOOD is fantastic, great value, as good as the Legs Inn (tho everyone should visit there once). Love the Polish Kitchen! Worth the almost 2 hour drive every time! Pierogis, potato pancakes, stuffed cabbage, Bigos (hunter's stew) and apple cake dessert are delicious. Try the Sampler or King's Feast platter, just leave room for dessert. Authentic and made from scratch, this is a hidden gem of an ethnic restaurant in an area where this type of restaurant is hard to find. Bring a cooler and take some frozen pierogis home with you, we usually do. It is a clean and spacious place, with tables for small or large groups.
