Cinamini's with Vanilla Bourbon Cream cheese frosting. YUM!
    Michael R.

Between Alanson and Pellston, MI on U.S.-31 in lower Norther Michigan is this inconspicuous gem! Unless you have been here, you might drive by not realizing you just passed one of the best breakfast/brunch spots around. The building is small and unassuming. Bring your appetites because portions are very generous. Today I had the corned beef hash with red skin potatoes, onion and 2 eggs served with camp toast. All the flavors were amazing, the corn beef was tender, lean and the combination of flavors were very good, probably one of the best corn beef hash dishes I have ever had. My wife had the Iron skillet scramble with 2 eggs, sausage, american fries, cheese and it also came with camp toast and fresh raspberry preserves. And of course what breakfast is complete without cinnamon rolls. :) We highly recommend the cinamini's served in a small iron skillet with bourbon vanilla cream cheese glaze. Our server Colette was very friendly, and attentive and took good care of us. If your looking for a breakfast destination, check out Brutus Camp Deli. There might be a wait time, but it's definitely worth it!

Log cabin / hunters lodge decor inside. Food was great. Waitress was welcoming and came by to check in appropriately. Vegan and vegetarian options available.

Western omelet and the most delicious potatoes!

Excellent food. Everything was amazing. The service was attentive. They did a great job checking on us and asking me if I'd like a top off on my coffee. The portions were huge. From the outside, it looked like a regular building. The inside was super, log cabin cozy. We were visiting for the weekend but will definitely be back when we are in town again!

    Great food!

Food is great! Portions are really large. The servers could have been a little more attentive.

This is what you get for shitty service.

The Farmer's Table is conveniently located just off the Wolverine, MI exit of I-75. It looks like it may have once been a gas station; very unassuming building with a huge parking lot for all sorts of vehicles, trucks and RV's. Once you step inside, the magic happens. Cute and cozy, filled with charming little tables and a mercantile area, the friendly staff will greet you and make you feel at home. Their menu is varied with many entrees made from locally sourced ingredients. This concept feels fresh and healthy, though the entrees themselves feel like grandma's cooking. Not fancy or trendy, but hearty, flavorful home cooking. My husband chose a pork chop, baked potato, corn and side salad. The photo of the pork chop looks juicy and tender; it was just that. He said it was the best pork chop he's ever had. The apple glaze was really good. I chose the chicken cordon blue, to sample something I would not make at home. It was rich, a tad salty yet very good. The side corn was amazing, as was the apple slaw. Next time I'll ask for mashed potatoes without the dark gravy. We took a small fried raspberry pie for dessert on the road and enjoyed mulling the through their homemade bakery items. The prices were very reasonable. We will be making this stop a regular on our way up north. Look forward to trying their brunch items, which get raved reviews.

I was afraid the pancakes and french toast would be super sweet, but they weren't. The pancakes were fluffy and not too sweet. The toppings were well incorporated and not over powering. The French toast was perfectly cooked and not too big. The whipped cream was delicious and not overly sweet. I was afraid the coffee would be mediocre, but it was perfect. I wish I lived here so I could try more of the menu! Our server, Audley, was polite, understood the menu, and timely. It was the best breakfast I have ever had, so I wanted to make sure the staff knew what a great time I had. I asked to speak to the manager. Yelp is fine, but I strongly believe in paying compliments directly to those in charge. The manager could not have been less interested in talking to me. A middle aged, medium height, average sized, medium blonde haired woman with large earrings, anxious eyes, and a false smile... she was quick to come over and quick to ignore me. She made minimal eye contact, turned her body away from me, and proceeded to pick up plates before I had finished my sentence. She turned her body away before I was done speaking. As soon as she felt I had spoken long enough, she left. It was a strange experience for an otherwise pleasant meal. If I lived closer, I'd likely choose somewhere else for future breakfasts. When management isn't interested in doing their job, service tends to follow. It's too bad. If only she had managed to stand still, face me, and listen... I might have given this a five star review.

Staff was attentive and pleasant, and guests were engaged in animated, quiet conversation at their tables. The breakfast sandwiches are phenomenal--see photos for their names and to make your mouth water. I forgot to take a photo of the Dutch baby pancake. Mine was good and the fruit fresh, but if I had a do-over, I'd order a sandwich with potatoes instead because those are some of the best breakfast potatoes I've ever had--perfectly seasoned, crispy on the outside, and soft on the inside. My daughter's Dutch baby was sitting in a pool of grease and should have been sent back, but she didn't say anything because she thought it was normal, and by then it was too late. That was the only bummer. It is very small inside, but miraculously we did not have a wait for seven people. You can just pop in for a baked good from their display case or order carryout if you don't have time to sit for breakfast. I encourage you to check Small Batch out!

Breakfast potatoes were AMAZING. downsides: Coke was $4. Syrup was not real maple syrup but the artificial kind, you'd expect real maple syrup at a fancy place like this, strawberries in the Dutch baby still had leaves on them. There are some needless rules that one might consider bad customer service (ex. Heard another table ask if they could get the eggs on the side of their dish instead of on top, server stated "she won't deconstruct it you'll have to remove the eggs yourself")
