Love this deli-mini mart. The hot foods are delicious many different kind of pirogies, cheese crepe and so much more. They also have some really good bakery items. The meat and deli is stocked with new items to try. Candy and many items from Poland. I had the pirogies which just came out of the kitchen and were so so good. Love this store. read more

Love this little store. Have been coming here since it opened and have never been disappointed. Their lunch specials are delicious and reasonably priced. Friendly, accommodating service, and they are happy to substitute a different side dish with their specials. Parking during busy times can be an issue but usually there's at least one spot open. Their canned and jarred delicacies, such as Polish sauerkraut with carrots, are treats you would be challenged to find elsewhere in the Commack area. read more

I ordered some Hungarian sausage that was frozen to try at home for sample. I used to buy this sausage on 2nd avenue in New York City. That was forty years ago. I was really excited to cook these. When they were done we tasted them. They were pure grease inside and out. I spent $15 plus for nothing. Pure grease.ugh. I don't know what else they serve, but this is not the one great sausage I remember. read more

Ordered late in the day before closing so limited choices (My fault). Best kielbasa ever with terrific sauerkraut. Frozen pirogues cooked at home to perfection. Potato pancakes were large and not greasy at all. Babka was great too. Yummy dark chocolate marshmallow cookies were a surprise hit. Will definitely return, earlier in the day next time. read more

Polish pork store has many delicious food items, however I find their customer service is HORRIBLE!! They seem almost annoyed when you ask a question about a product, and don't ever expect a smile. There are better customer service friendly people working in junk yards then at the Polish pork store. That's why I only give 1 star. But if you can tolerate their rudeness and unfriendly service you will most likely enjoy the food. Just try not to ask any questions. read more

I went here today and had a TERRIBLE experience with the owner. I tried to purchase 2 things and was nothing but polite. The owner told me that he has enough money and doesn't need my business and after I paid he muttered to take my stuff and get the f* out of here. I will not be shopping there again. Well...this was my first time going into this store since it opened last week. As soon as I walked inside, I knew that I had fallen in love! The smell of the fresh cooked Polish food filled my nostrils with delight. It is a small store, but it has a lot of quality stuff inside. The two dry shelves pack a lot of punch with a great assortment of teas, canned fish and desserts! Their refrigerator has kielbasa, kefir, yogurts and a few various Polish drinks. The man behind the counter (Jake, I believe) was very nice. He also informed me that they would soon be adding a bakery section. This will consist of breads and various Danishes. I haven't even gotten to the FRESH FOOD yet!! So, they have freshly made meals every day in addition to their impressive collection of deli meats. There were two kinds of soup, one of which was a mushroom soup that was out of this world! Cabbage rolls, sauerkraut and kielbasa, beef goulash, fish, pork with plums, rice, potatoes, a fried mushroom and sauerkraut "wrap", blintzes and a few other things that I am drawing a blank on at the moment. Ooo I forgot to mention that you can get lunch to go here for $5-$7!!! Unbelievable!!! I can safely say that I tried a great deal of this food today and it was absolutely outstanding. They also have fresh made pierogies that I am told, you have to go early for. I am getting my first taste of those potato and cheese pierogies tomorrow!! I went to the dentist one day and as I was driving out of the parking lot onto Commack Road out of the corner of my eye I spotted a sign in a strip shopping mall that screamed out to me "Polish Pork Store". Now why would this half Puerto Rican, half Italian care so much about a Polish store? Perhaps my ten years working with, and among, the Polish community in Greenpoint Brooklyn where I learned so much about the great Polish culture and food, stayed with me. When I walked in the delicious smells of a hot food bar greeted me. This deli/market sells typical Polish lunches like I used to have in Brooklyn. The staff was nice and the food is great. $7.50 Gets you a meat with two sides. Tremendous deal for home style cooking. They have pork, chicken, or veal cutlets, stuffed cabbage, different pierogis, sausages, fish, beets, bigos (Polish hunter's stew), mashed potatoes with gravy , blintzes, croquettes, yum, yum, yum. I have had it all over several visits and NOTHING disappoints! I recently tried a stuffed pepper that was delicious! They have a great selection of Kielbasa, Polish and Hungarian cold cuts, cheeses, beer, cakes, candies among other things. For beer-heads there are several Polish beers to try. I had a Lech premium beer which was pretty good. This place will not disappoint! Enjoy! read more

it's no wonder that all six reviews i just read give this gem the highest rating! it should get a five star plus rating, but five is the highest i can give. the store just smiles at you when you enter. lots of european stock, many varieties of sauerkraut, beets, soups, cookies, candies, and various and sundry other delicious products. but the hot food is the best this area has to offer, and at very reasonable prices. all fresh, all made daily, all top quality ingredients and all delicious. pork, chicken and fish, perrogies, hunters stew (bigos in polish), potatoes, veggies, and meat cakes made with all the tender loving care any mother puts into her home prepared dinner fare. lunch specials and full dinners usually for $7 or less. enough to feed two, and i like to eat!. i live 2 miles away, and my office is 1 mile away. at least twice a week, i go to the store and get the office lunch, and often bring home dinner. their baked fish is tender, spiced just right, and literally melts in your mouth. never overdone.............most restaurants do not know how to properly make fish this tender, it's obviously an art. newsday ran a small review a few months ago, and the next day the lines were out the door. get there on a friday, when jake goes to brooklyn at 5 am and returns with all kinds of specialty polish bakery products, cheese cakes, jelly and jam goods and rolls filled with poppy seeds. all soooooo good. i can't say enough about this place. it is a small strip shopping center half a mile south of jericho turnpike in commack. go out of your way to get there; you'll be so glad you did. thank you jake for making such a wonderful respite in an area that sorely needed just such a restaurant. read more

Just a true gem in Commack, amazing hot food for low prices, great deli section. I use them whenever I can for parties and of all the chain fast food places we could choose, this is my 10 year old son's favorite place to get dinner! Went here today for 1st time, heard good things ordered 2 different types of perogies,2 different types of sausage/ kielbasa and some sort of red cabbage with cut up pieces oder sausage, both my kid and I loved it and the price was good, I will definitely go back again, and try some more food give it a shot I promise you you will not be disappointed read more

if you need kilbasa this is a place to go. Tjhey have smoke and fresh. If you go more south Copiague you get more verity, I guess there is more polish community then here in Commack. But they are trying, so help them out. Shop local! read more

I came here later in the day around 5:30pm on a Thursday night and they didn't have much food left. I settled for two chicken cutlets a few pierogis and a stuffed cabbage. The pierogis were very good but the chicken cutlets were extremely greasy which gave me a bad stomach ache. The lady serving me was extremely nice but unfortunately next time I will only stick pierogis because the rest of the food I did not enjoy. read more

They opened this week. They have a hot food case for take out with meat and fish and the cold side has and every kind of Polish sausage you can imagine. I got two kinds of sausage from the cold side and the pork lunch and a Blintze. The pork lunch I had was delicious tender pork served with choice of starch and a salad. They also offered a couple of fresh fish choices that looked great. The cabbage Blintze was full of mushrooms and delicious as well. The just opened so they don't have everything in yet but I would definitely be a regular. read more

Visited here for the first time after hearing about it from my family who live locally. The gentleman was VERY friendly, helpful and eager to please. He gave me numerous recommendations, which I trusted. He also offered various hot food dishes for take out. What I bought (some baked goods) was fresh and tasted exactly like I would get from the Polish markets in Greenpoint, Brooklyn. The only thing is you may want to call ahead if you are looking for something specific, as they sell out of certain things fairly quickly. I can't recommend this place enough and will certainly be back for what I couldn't get today next time I am in town. read more
