Another example of Yelp steering me to happiness!!! Tried Polished after seeing it was the only nail salon in my local area with an average Yelp rating of 4.5 stars (the other salons only have up to 4 stars and I'm kind of obsessive about relying on Yelp!) I just got my second pedicure at Polished, and it looks fantastic. Today I splurged and got the $42 pedicure that has a longer massage than the basic pedicure ($36), which I got the first time. A great pedicure that's only $36 in the Andovers area is pretty incredible!! I love that they accept credit card payment for the services (some nail salons don't). My only wish is that they'll accept tips by credit card in the future . . . FYI Polished isn't noticeable from the street. It's in a strip mall, next to Shadi's and across from Haffner's gas. P.S. I would've included a pic, but my toes are chubby, so the pic would be a detractor from the good review, ha, ha!! read more

As a loyal customer for a little over 3 years I am officially very disappointed. I started getting dip manicures recently. I got my nails done and within 7 days I had 2 chipped nails. Another 7 days go by with an additional 4 chipped nails. Both times I have gone to get them fixed - they only fixed the chipped ones. Not to mention my most recent repair three nails were painted the wrong shade, then after leaving the nail salon another nail chipped. Dip manicures are suppose to last 3 weeks at the least . For paying the amount individuals do for dip its expected to last. I am very disappointed. read more

Every nail salon told me it was normal for the manicure/application process to hurt a bit, but this session was completely relaxing and pain/discomfort-free! The inside of the salon was super cute-there were white shelves, white manicure stations, cool sinks. My nails were also exactly like my reference!! Worst pedicure ever! The girl was so heavy handed with the cuticle trimmers...I kept flinching and pulling back. I finally had to tell her, 3 different times that it was too hard and she was hurting me because she just wasn't getting it! I bled on two different occasions and she had to apply pressure, so she knew! Home now and my toes are still painful...still bleeding underneath...attaching pics of 3 different toes. This place is amaaaazing! I'm visiting from NJ and needed a manicure. I had acrylics on (first and last time) and wanted them to be taken off and to go back to my regular gel manicures. I was able to schedule an appointment quickly. Upon arrival, I was greeted by Jenny (the owner), who was both welcoming and sweet. She was so gentle taking off the acrylics and made sure I was comfortable the entire time. I was horrified by how weak my nails looked from the acrylics (paper thin), which she explained was due to improper application. She was so gentle with my nails and explained in detail how to get healthy/safe manicures, which I appreciated so much! She was so personable and easy to speak with. Oh yea, and each new customer gets a new mani/pedi kit to take home that they're supposed to bring to each of their nail appointments for sanitation purposes, doesn't get better than that!!!! I got my first manicure and pedicure here that I had had in six months. Previously I have been too worried for obvious reasons. Decided to try out polished based on the reviews. The salon is very clean. I was given a fresh mask and face shield and was seated very far from every other customer in the salon. The staff was friendly and courteous. I felt very safe. The pricing is very reasonable, and considering it has been so long since my feet got some TLC I splurged on the deluxe pedicure and it was dreamy.I am definitely coming back and I would definitely recommend polished. read more

I was ( maybe overdue?)!for another pedicure. Even though it's a drive from where I live now, I thought to myself - GO! It's not like you do this every week... you need this! So I phoned and made an appointment with what I hoped would leave for plenty of time to get to another scheduled one later in the day. I entered the boutique at my appointment time and saw the 2 nail techs were busy with other clients... Normally I would have just sat down & waited. But with the restrictions felt even no one said anything wait outside. Some time passed and it became my turn.... No one said sorry for the wait or much of anything and I just let it go. The tech had started filling the tub and instructed me to put my feet in... Ice cold! Well, that wasn't good and the very 1st time at this place. She then corrected the situation.... I really am not a complainer.... especially knowing full well that we are very lucky salons are open... But from that point on ( the icy cold water) I don't know if it threw her off & she was nervous or upset. But I did not get the pedicure that I usually do. A complete surprise because the other times I've been here the work has been outstanding. Communication was a definite issue where it became very obvious that the tech barely spoke nor understood English. Where I've taught ESL, I was patient and felt very bad. My guest and I went to Polished for regular manicures. My guest was pleased with hers but mine was the worst I ever had. They were unevenly trimmed and filed. And my cuticles needed work but were barely touched and ended up a mess. Do not recommend this place. read more
