My nails look great, but i just don't like how nail salons charge you for random shit. You walk in expecting to pay a certain price and then they end up racking on all these extra prices? For what... instead of all your extra prices, why don't you just raise your prices or not have the extra prices and then maybe people would actually tip you. I'm really not sure why I paid $60 for these, that's ridiculous. I got my nails done again for easter and they look nice, it was $40 which isn't terrible. I just think that the first time they seriously overcharge you way too much, he charged me $60 for my first set!? read more

Called to make an appt for 3 ppl. They were accommodating and told us to come in at 6pm (they close at 7pm). The basic pedicure was fine, wasn't the best pedicure of my life, but also wasn't the worst. My husband paid for the upgraded pedicure ($15 extra) and the only difference he got from me was a "paraffin wax" - which actually turned out to be them schlopping some wax into a zip lock bag and tying it around his feet - mind you the wax didn't even touch, let alone coat his feet, so I'm entirely confused as to what the point of that even was. This is the first time ever I left the salon and my regular pedicure polish wasn't dry. It was a complete, smudged mess that I ended up going home and removing with acetone. Let's discuss the gel manicures my sister and I got. First and foremost - THEY DIDN"T EVEN FULL REMOVE my old gel before applying the new coat. Read that again. They used the dremmel to remove most of my old polish job, and then just decided that 'I guess that's good enough' and went right along to the new gel application. They have you scrub your hands at the sink with dirty, old nail brushes that are absolutely not sanitized or cleaned between uses. And worst of all, both our gel manicures started chipping within days of getting them done here! I have never, ever experienced that in all my years of getting my nails done. Actually, no, worst of all is the price they had the gall to charge us - they upcharged my sister $25 for design, so she paid $90 + tip for a gel manicure and a basic pedicure! Absolute highway robbery!! DO. NOT. WASTE. YOUR. TIME. AND. MONEY. HERE. There are better nail salons in the area! read more

Been coming here for years and always get excellent service. They're always so friendly and do a great job. One of the few nail salons open on Mondays and there's usually not a long wait. The prices are pretty on par with most other nail salons i've been to. 10/10 recommend read more

I went to Polished with the original owners and it wasn't great so I moved on, 2 years later I gave them a try again and this place is run by different people who are absolutely awesome, give them a try and you will love them!!! 5 stars for sure! Pedicures are only 30 dollars ! I always request Alex to do my gel acrylics because he shapes them so nicely and naturally. I've been to many nail salons and this one for sure is the most welcoming and a fun experience. The nail techs are funny and love conversation so it's always an enjoyable experience. They have punch cards as well and when it's fully punched, I believe it's a free service or like 10 dollars off. Most places don't do that. It's clean salon and offer other services as well. Pedicures there are phenomenal for what they do. Also the other girls are just as good as Alex. The one girl is a perfectionist, and really takes her time. She shapes them and paints them so perfect , I've never seen someone work so well on them and takes their time! Over all , I will never go anywhere except here. You pay for what you receive, amazing work. Mind you there are a lot of negative posts, I've been going for two years now and never had an issue. Both photos are gel ! read more

Was hesitant to come here but I swung in to check it out and get a quick pedicure. Got the cheapest one to ensure they did a good job. I was surprised to see the parking lot full and thought ht was for the pizza joint next door, however I came in and there were 5 people sitting down midday, so felt a little better. Sat down and Jenny greeted me and got me seated in the pedi seat quickly. She did a great job and was so personable. She was fast but not clumsy my toes came out great! While I sat down several other people came in. I asked her why the salon had poor reviews on Yelp, she told me that a pot two years ago they went under new management and that the google and Facebook reviews were better. Overall, great first experience. Seems clean, I didn't look up the health stuff but I will. read more

Horrible horrible horrible. While the woman who did my nails was nice, I can't believe how horrible my nails look. I decided to try this place as its close to my job and would be convenient to visit during my lunch breaks. I regret my decision. $15 for a manicure that my 6 year old niece could have done better. She CAKED on the polish, which STILL wasn't after 8 minutes of drying. There is nail polish all over my fingers, and not to mention my one finger is still bleeding and I left 10 minutes ago. I had a few pretty awful experiences. The first time I went was with a friend. Despite an empty salon, they seated my friend and I on completely different sides of the salon. To top that off, despite separating us, the nail techs made no effort to speak to us. I went back the another time for just a plain manicure, and it was an even worse experience. My manicurist complained about working on my hands because they were "too rough." Listen, I know they're rough. I work with my hands. But if I'm paying you to do a service, then I really don't want to hear about it. To make matters worse, the minute I got home, my thumbs and my pinky finger were completely chipped off, and my other fingers already had stress lines on the polish. Nail salons are really personal preference. Everyone is looking for different things in a salon, but this place was just generally awful. read more

So extremely disappointed. Had a gel fill done yesterday, and with the 3 coats, AND a top coat... the polish dried clumpy. Called this morning to make an appointment to go back in on my lunch break today for a repaint. . . they took me in, and "fixed it for me" "as promised" on my early morning phone call to schedule this, & As I leave, I asked the lady, "so what do I owe" expecting to hear a very low fee or "nothing" due to me just paying $35 plus a $5 tip the night before, she replies with $20.00!!! For a repaint? Then afterwards I come to find out that if I had chosen the same color as I had on before (when it clumped) it would've been ZERO charge. Why couldn't they SAY that to me prior???? Wow. Now I'll never go back. . . that is really sneaky... read more

This place is okay. I had an appt, so I did not have to wait too long. Con: No coat rack Went in there during the winter and wanted to hand up my coat, but could not find any coat rack. After my pedicure the woman said they have a hook on the wall in the pedicure area, but I did not see any when I was there. I think it's important that they have a coat rack right when you come in so you don't have to carry around your coat. Con: The nail dryer I put my feet under only ran for 4 mins at a time so I had to keep resetting it. Also, it rand cold air. Pro: The pedicure was fine. The nail tech spent ample time on the foot massage so that made me very happy! My toes look nice. Pro: The cost! For a "regular" pedicure it only cost 30 dollars! I may go back because the foot massage and cost make this place worth it. read more

I recently moved here from Oklahoma and this is the first nail salon I have tried here as it is the closest one to my house. In Oklahoma I had a salon that I went to for my dip nails every 3 weeks and they would rarely chip. I got my nails done at Polished on a Friday. I got the dip manicure. Janny did my nails and she was very sweet, I have nothing but nice things to say about her as a person. The service took 1.5 hours which normally when I get dip done it only takes 45 minutes. When I left I knew right away that it wasn't a great job Bc they were sunk in and uneven, like the dip didn't set well but It wasn't that noticeable and overall they looked okay and like I said I really like Janny so I didn't want to complain. But the Monday after my appt, 3 of my nails had already chipped. My family is in town from Oklahoma so I haven't had a chance to call to ask if I could get the chipped ones fixed but today (the Thursday after my appt, just 6 days after) all of my nails are chipped, cracked and the top layer of polish is coming off so I decided I shouldn't let it slide as this was a $50 service plus tip (which is $10 more than what I paid previously) so I decided to call them just to let them know that they did not look good after less than a week. Alex answered the phone and he was immediately rude and defensive. I told him I didn't expect a free service but just wanted to let them know what had happened. I am in the service industry, a hair stylist and I would certainly want to know if my clients weren't happy. Alex continued to yell at me, argue with me and belittle me and tell me they don't guarantee which baffles me bc I have enough pride in my work that I gaurantee all of my services to my clients and if they don't like it I want to fix it. He told me that I should have called immediately when I noticed them chipping (which I admitted that I should have but didn't have time and in the end it wouldn't have mattered anyway Bc all of them would have continued to chip anyway) but by today when they were all completely ruined I figured I should call them just to let them know that my nails weren't doing well. He yelled at me to the point of tears and told me he was right and basically that I was wrong) I don't know that I have ever been treated that way by someone who is supposed to be in customer service. He put Janny on the phone and she apologized and told me she would fix them and I told her I appreciated it but I honestly couldn't ever step foot into that salon again after the way I had been treated by Alex. I will never recommend this salon to anyway and I will go out of my way to make sure no one I know ever goes there. From a hairstylist who has been in the beauty industry for 9 years, you should NEVER treat clients the way I was treated today by Alex at Polished salon. read more

I just went there and they DESTROYED my nails. The woman doing them did the shape so haphazardly they looked off center and then she did one hand so short - they were stubs! It looked like I had bitten all of my nails off. And she made two nails bleed. I had to pull my hand away before they even started putting any polish on because I was afraid for my nails and left. Just left the salon about 30 minutes ago and felt the need to review. It's a new nail salon near Giant in Trexlertown. The massage chairs are excellent. The staff is quite nice. They have three options for pedicures. I went for the Cadillac version - paraffin wax, massage, and lotion. The technician was wonderful- very bubbly, smoothed out all of the rough spots on my feet, and took her time. Very bright and clean space. All for $40! Will return. read more

Stopped in Polished Nail Spa for nail trim and shaping. Had no time for polish but nails were too long and needed trimming. No other customers in salon so no wait. Was quoted $7 as not getting polish but since I wanted nails soaked and cuticles pushed back before cut it was $15. Soak on 1st hand lasted less than 1 minute, no warm towel and no hand cream. Thumb nail was cut painfully short looking like I am a nail biter. Very minimal filing and shaping as nails on right hand to short to be filed. When I complained, manicurist did leave nails on left hand longer. Nails on one hand now longer than the other but at least not painful. Nails looked worse upon leaving salon than they did when I entered. Since I was so unhappy she charged $10 rather than $15. Had been to Polished Nail Spa once before & nails were shaped nicely but polish lasted only a few days before chipping. Worst nail salon experience I've ever had. Never again. Walked in to get my acrylics refilled. The nail tech did a great job and shaped them way better than the place I originally got them done at. My nails have a nice natural shape to them and aren't too thick. This place also has a good selection of polish colors. I will definitely be returning! - also, while the salon accepts credit cards, they ONLY accept tips in cash, FYI. read more

I decided to pop in for an eyebrow wax. I've driven by there a million times and decided to check it out. The older woman who did by brows was not personable, friendly or welcoming. I drove past this salon several times and it looked very nice on the inside so I decided to give it a try. As soon as I walked in I wanted to leave. The woman at the front desk was not very friendly. The woman who did my nails took her time, which I can appreciate if she had done a good job. However, after she finished painting my nails they were still very streaky and uneven looking. She was very skimpy with how much lotion she used, as well as with the top coat she put on. My nails look like she used a matte top coat, they are not shiny whatsoever. I honestly thought they looked terrible, but I didn't say anything because I figured I could just go home, put another coat of polish on since I brought my own, and make them look half decent. When I got in my car, I noticed I had a very large, sharp piece of acrylic on the side of my finger. It looks like a huge hang nail, so not only will I have to repaint my nails, I'll have to file that mistake down as well. For $21 this salon is not worth it whatsoever. I will not go back and I will not recommend. Sadly, trying this salon was a huge waste of my time and money. read more
