Polished is INCREDIBLE! I tell everyone who listens about how I'd never go anywhere else for my manis and pedis. Even when I lived in Fishtown, I'd drive over and hour for my regular appointments here. I've been going to polished for a few years, and have rotated through many of the nail techs- they're all skilled and deliver quality service. Huge shout out to CeCe, she is gentle and always delivers! Anny is also my babe, she was so good to me when CeCe was out. I should note, I'm a very classic nail girly, so Polished's minimal designs were totally fine for me. I really appreciate that they have made my nails stronger and healthier as I've gone there. I was able to make an appointment just 20 min before the set time slot through their helpful phone staff, and I had Polly do an express pedicure. A nice selection of colors and very clean methods for sanitation. I was rather impressed with my nail tech listening to my wants and she nailed it. Full disclaimer: I'm an adult male and I get regular manicures! That out of the way, I will only go to Polished Salon in Trolly Square for my "Manlycures". I mostly use their online appointment portal, but I also have made last minute appointments by phone if I happen to be in the area. My regular tech is CeCe. She is very friendly and does an awesome job! Sure, the place is a bit cozy, but I'm not going there with a bunch of my friends to hang out. I'm there to get a good manicure by staff who know what they are doing so I'm not bothered by the relatively small interior space. Note: they prefer to be tipped separately with cash (service can be paid by credit card thought) so make sure you have some on you when you get your service done. I only get manicures, about every 2 weeks, so I can't comment on their other service offerings, but I do notice they are busy most of the time and many seem to be regulars so they must be doing most things right. So if you are a guy who likes nice manicured nails and hands, then this is the salon you want to go to. read more

I absolutely love this place! My sister and I go in every couple weeks for a shellac (gel) mani and we love it there. The place is clean, doesn't have chemical smell, comfortable, and relaxing. The staff is wonderful! It's easier to make an appointment but they do accept walk ins. I always make an appointment because my schedule is very busy and it's better to know that I'll be in and out and on to my next thing on time. The color selection there is excellent! The ladies there are very stylish and helpful with picking out colors. I've had manis and pedis there and both are great! I've been going to this location for over a year and I love it. Super easy to make an appointment online and they've always been on time. All the girls here are great, but my favorite is Polly. She's excellent at cuticle clean-up and the polish application is always clean and tidy. I usually just get the Express Pedicure, but have gotten gel manis twice and they stayed chip-free for pretty long. I've gone to other salons when I'm in a bind and can't get here, but I'm never as pleased with the results as when I come here. I like that they don't grind your nail beds down with a machine for the gel manis. I'm all for making your manicure last as long as possible, but not at the expense of my nail condition when it comes time for removal. read more

I really like this place. I've been here twice. I've had one great experience and one not so great experience here so I'm hesitant to return, but probably will. The pros - great color selection, really great atmosphere...sophisticated and great for groups, the a-la-carte pricing (polish color change v. express manicure v. full polished manicure) is great for when you had a manicure a couple of weeks ago and just want a color change without the huge price. Their prices overall were really reasonable (under $40 for a mani-pedi if you mix-match the express with a full one) and they take walk-ins with very little wait. I've never had a problem finding street parking near them either. My bad experience was that they tried to charge me for a "shellac" removal because they were using a nail polish remover that was basically water...they had diluted it down so much that she couldn't remove the normal essie nail polish that I had on...when she switched to the regular full strength stuff it came off instantly....I normally am the type of person to let things go and not create a fuss, but I refused to pay an extra $3 because they wanted to save money and dilute their products down to make them last longer. When I pointed this out to them they quickly agreed and returned the money, but it kind of ruined my experience... read more

Absolutely love this place! It doesn't smell like your typical nail salon--they're chemical free and the same price as everywhere else that is dirty and smelly and uses chemicals. Friendly, clean, modern and stylish environment. Polished takes walk-ins, which is great since I never know when I'll need a mani. Complimentary beverages with spa manis and pedis -- they have cute mini wines. I love and always get the Shellac mani. It stays on for up to 3 weeks, if you ask for a third coating! They charge $5 to take off shellac, so I just peel mine off in advance. Can't put tip on credit card--so bring some cash! I haven't had a pedi yet b/c it's been too cold, but I can't WAIT. I wish they offered a combo price for mani/pedi, but I don't think they do. When I lived in Newark I'd drive all the way to Hockessin to visit polished (the orginal) this place rocks and is owned by two of the nicest people you will ever meet. The second location opened a few months before I moved out if trolley so I got to take advantage of this place while I was still in walking distance. I came in to a few additions Which are awesome : they now carry zoya nail products, they offer the shellac manicure and they have added two more pedicure chairs. They offer services for every budget and manicures start at $11 and go up to $30 for the all out treatment the signature polished mani that comes with a glass of wine and a bunch of extra relaxing touches. Pedicures 23-48 and the polished service is offered for that as well. Plenty of guys frequent this place and they offer quite a few man services. A nice, semi-upscale nail salon in Trolley Square, this 2nd location of Polished has been open for a year although I just found out about it. It's more like being in someone's living room than a salon - all soothing green and brown earth tones with hardwood floors and exposed brick. It's not filled with chemical fumes and everything seems clean (including sterilized tools, and I saw the pedicure tubs being washed between customers). Definitely a relaxing experience and my nails look nice! It's a bit more expensive than your basic shopping center nail salon - though there are different price points to choose from, depending on what services you want - but I thought it was worth it since I'm always mildly creeped out by places that just spritz the tools with alcohol. I am very big on a nail salon having a trendy, relaxing atmosphere especially if I have to sit in it for an hour or two - this placed delivered. The interior is updated and cute - no strong odors or kids running around. The staff is friendly and chill which I like because sometimes I don't feel like talking for an hour straight. What a great nail salon. Really stands out as clean, friendly and professional. They were able to take me as a walk in on a busy Saturday. I was in town with my SO who had business in the LOMA district and I started walking around looking for a nail place. After years of trying nail salons once and then trying a new one next time, I've finally found a place I will continue to go again and again! They do not do artificial nails so there are none of those fumes, which is surprisingly so much better once you actually experience it. I've gotten a pedicure and two manicures there and they've all lasted longer than normal for me. The ladies working there all seem to be very meticulous with making the nails look perfect. I might say the color selection is not the absolute best, but I often bring my own polish in anyway.
