I found SEU didn't help me very much in the process of transition into a new environment. The first problem at SEU began when I was assigned to live in an 8 person dorm. It was an absolute nightmare living with the girls that I would be forced to call roommates. They had their click and had no interest in being friends with the new girls. I sadly had roommates that showed a lack of compassion and were insensitive to others. I communicated with my RA about he situations that occurred, but SEU was all big about "working things out" instead of moving me to another room. The FOOD: RUN. Preview days are a lie. I remember move in day thinking the food at Chartwells was AMAZING. However once the parents were gone the food quality dropped and hospital like food began appearing. The options lacked flavor, some pretty unhealthy, and there was a lack of seating availability in the cafeteria. I found myself retreating to Chick-Fil-A 5 days a week so I wouldn't have to eat at Chartwells. However this ended up causing me to gain 15-20 pounds and was hard on my health. Professors: Majority of the Professors I had were kind, understanding, and helpful. I will admit there was 1-2 though that were not very helpful at times. I would checkout reviews of the professors online before enrolling into a class. Old Testament was an EXTREMELY difficult class and the professor I had at the time tried to force 85% of the class to attend mandatory tutoring after school. I ended up withdrawing from this class as I knew I wouldn't pass. I took it later at a different school and passed with flying colors. Dorms: The dorms themselves are pretty nice. I lived in Esperanza which had a girl building and across the quad was the guy building. I would never suggest living in a freshman building with the bunk beds. The rooms are tiny and the walls don't block out much sound in general. Buena Vida is a fantastic chance to walk up 5 flights of stairs everyday to get to your room. The rooms are rather small for housing 4 people in a bedroom. The elevator the year I was there always seemed to be breaking down. I would've hated to have to walk that many stairs on a daily basis. Chapel: I've heard chapel has changed since I left. I wanted to wait to write a review until I was no longer a student. Getting chapel hours was not impossible but waiting outside in a long line to get in, did add to the process. From what I understand they've added more time options since I left. But I'm not 100% sure what that looks like. Counseling: ROTFL the counseling department was such a hit or miss. I went to humans services seeking out counseling as the stress I was feeling at school was overwhelming. There was a lot going on and my roommates were making my life miserable. I found myself exhausted everyday my roommates were insanely loud and didn't care who they kept awake. I wanted the school counselor to help convince the housing department to let me switch rooms. Counselor 1: The first counselor I went to, we did NOT hit it off. She gave me a piece of paper with little cartoons on it with the title "Stress Management". LOL I never went back to her. Counselor 2: She was actually really nice and agreed it seemed moving rooms would maybe be in my interest. However she suggested I try out a Church she personally had never been to that she thought I would like. I followed her advice and the Church was NOT a good fit at all and I left early. I personally think she maybe should've not recommended it without never even going there once. Housing: So what ended up happening? Thankfully I was approved to move of campus half way through the term. I convinced an on campus friend to move off campus with me to our own place. I commuted to school and life was so much better. Activities: I personally only found 1 club I was consistently involved with during my first semester. From what I understand though that club no longer exists. There are a lot of options on campus but it really comes down to finding a few solid friends. So overall I would say 3 star experience. The campus was clean, the dorms were kept clean, the Professors were overall decent, but there were some negative aspects. SEU is extremely expensive and honestly is not necessarily worth going into debt for. I would suggest trying to get a scholarship to attend here. It has pros and cons but at the end of the day is one of the nicer Universities in the area. Parking was always a problem and is still to this day extremely hard to find.

It was quite an event and a memory that I draw on when ever I'm back to visit this beautiful city. I have several friends who graduated from this prestigious college. Because of that I had many opportunities to visit the campus. I always appreciated the unique Frank Lloyd Wright architecture as well. On my most recent visit 2/17/25, I took the FLW 1.5 hour tour which was fantastic and I highly recommend it.

It is definitely a treat for many historian, architect and engineer. The most famous building is the Annie Pfeiffer Chapel. You will be able to spot immediately from parking of the Branscomb Auditorium. Each build is lock during our visit because of Sunday. However, we do look at the outside of building. Any buildings that link by the walkway is Frank building. We enjoy our time here for the concert and architecture buildings. Frank design is low clearance. The walkway can be touch by the tip of the hand. Each walkway raise in profile is about three feet or six steps.

These two handle all matters pertaining to students, registration, guidance, and counseling. They respect all individuals and truly guide the students to success by making all resources available from day one. Call or email to receive more information from these two amazing ladies. The class sizes are small, but allow plenty of room for growth and learning for any type of individual. Students of all ages are welcome to participate in the active learning process and excel in one's career by accomplishing his or her educational goals. The classes are offered with in person instruction or by VTT (Video Teaching & Teleconferencing). The VTT capability allows centers from all over the country to join together in the learning process via webcam. The Monitor is an interactive TV around 80" or so in size. Cameras are mounted in the front and back of the classroom with microphones installed in the ceiling. The microphones pick up every sound possible, so be careful when you unmute your microphone :). Guidance and assistance are free of charge so take advantage of the all the information that can be afforded to you as a student. I am extremely happy to be a part of this growing and emerging center and will recommend this center to anyone looking to properly pursue his or her educational goals with precision.

You can pay $10 and play as much as you like. Make sure to bring socks because shoes are not allowed on the play area but they do have shoe covers for grownups. You can also rent out the place for events which would be SO fun! My daughter had a blast and didn't want to leave! They are also a private owned Christian Company and had worship music playing the whole time. I highly recommend taking your little there and purchasing something from their boutique!

If someone sits right in front of you you could be dodging to see all evening. They have balcony's seating as well. As a student of the college I get free tickets to the shows and try to go often. It is open to the General public too. The students you put on the show are very talented and it is worth it to come see if you are looking for something to do one evening. You can go online to Florida southerns home page and look up when they have operas and other performances as well as the prices. It's a very fun experience. Before you see the show spare some time to walk around the beautiful campus.
