    Two Piece Meal

Hot fresh chicken, the Mac & cheese was good but not great. Chicken was very good and would come back if I'm craving fried or grilled chicken.

8 piece meal with 2 sides and dinner rolls. Mango drink and empanada.

This is the Mexican KFC. We arrived later in the evening and the dining room was already closed. We ordered the 8 piece meal at the drive thru. Not many side dishes left, we ended up choosing fried plantains and French fries. Comes with tortilla or dinner rolls. Mango drink is pretty yummy. I wanted to try the empanada but was not happy when I realized the filling was sweet. Otherwise the chicken is flavorful. Funny thing about this location is there is a KFC next door. We didn't go inside the restaurant, I remembered awhile ago there was a salsa station that you can help yourself to. Inside the restaurant is colorful and staff uniform were neon green colors.

We FINALLY made it to Pollo Campero after many recommendations and driving by the restaurant often. We finally had our "Bite into life!" Now I'm disappointed that we didn't stop sooner. Where do I begin...The CHICKEN is the star!! Both the fried and grilled are winning choices. They were both flavorful, juicy and very tasty. The fried chicken was crunchy and delicious not that over breaded fried chicken where the skin separates from the chicken and the chicken has no taste. This chicken is well seasoned from skin to the bone. The citrus seasoned grilled chicken is also yummy receiving a double thumbs up! Let's talk sides. You get 2 with an 8 piece. We couldn't decide soooo we got the corn salad-5 Stars...the sunflower seeds were an added bonus. The Campero beans 5+ extra good and tasty added them to some rice on day 2 and almost went back to get more. The coleslaw 3 crunchy but something missing. Needed a pinch of sweet. Plantains 4 nicely seasoned and cooked. The side salad was fresh and tasty with the balsamic vinaigrette. The rolls were average. The SERVICE was OUTSTANDING!!! We were warmly greeted in the drive through and let them know this was our first visit. They were patient with us as we read all of the wonderful options and chose our sides. They reviewed our order and confirmed our order (This doesn't happen often enough with drive through service) Our order was CORRECT when we reached our destination to consume our newly found treasures. We forgot to get EMPANADAS which is what one of our friends raves about. There's always next time which will come soon! Thank you Pollo Campero.

Hands down my new favorite go-to fried chicken restaurant! If you get lost just loook for the KFC, it's right next to it lol. If you get sick of KFC soggy half cooked fried chicken or Popeyes is too far, then this place is a huge upgraded the chicken is always piping hot along with the sides. Fair prices and fair portions. Friendly and inviting atmosphere and the employees are always smiling. This place is a perfect example of a very well kept and professional food establishment.

Fried chicken breast super moist and flavorful!

Fried chicken is moist and flavorful! Side dishes are all great; can't go wrong with any. Definitely get the empanadas! One of my go to when I'm in the area for fried chicken! This place is great never a disappointment.

Tic Tok made us try this place, driving from Bloomington and SO GLAD we did! This is a restaurant chain that started in Guatemala. Love the idea of trying not only some place new, but a business with actual south American roots. From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was bright, friendly, and fun! The staff were helpful and not only brought the food out to us after we ordered from the counter, but checked back to see how we liked the food. The FOOD! Wow, so I'm thinking, this is gonna be on-par with Chipotle, since the counter and vibe was in that genre, but NO... the chicken was so flavorful, both the crispy fried chicken, and the marinated, garlicky version were yummmm-o delicious! We also ordered the yucca fries and fried plantains, and both were really really good. My pictures show it all- this food could easily be served at a high priced restaurant and people would be pleased. Well-worth the drive. Give it a try!

I kept driving past this place until one day had a pregnancy craving and decided...let us try some chicken. I was shocked ! First time ordered thru the drive thru and the wait was a bit annoying but it was well worth it. The food was hot, fresh fresh! You know the food is fresh and hot when you driving home and trying to taste and have to drop the food back in the box. Yeah that is some fresh food for real. Service from many of the Latina Queens was phenomenal. They were kind and thorough and very prompt. Now to tell you about this impressive chicken, many times I have had chicken and not once after any fast food joint have I ever had a tender and juicy (very moist and yet fully cooked) chicken breast. In fact most places I have eaten at I choose to avoid the breast because of how dry it usually is. I took a chance and I was impressed. The breast was so moist. So fresh and so tender just not at all what I expected. The side selection is awesome because they have plantains (a favorite) and I have had their Mac and cheese and let me tell you somebody Mama knew what they were doing passing that one down. The chicken grilled or fried is again amazing. The flavor. The fried chicken coating is NOT your usual but it is still really good and flavorful to say the least. That is for those who are more comfortable with a crunchy crunchy crunch throughout the entirety of eating a piece of fried chicken. Great food. Great service and such a pleasant experience that I returned twice within a two week timeframe. The inside is colorful and vibrant and the service you get thru the drive thru is that much more pleasant inside.

Not the kind of place where you'd Campero out all night to get their food right at opening time. But not as awful as some of the other Camperos. I'm not sure why they call it Latin food and I'm not sure how they have such amazing reviews. This is not Latin food but I guess if you're in Minneapolis then you might not know the difference? Go to the Mercado Central please - that is Latin food. It's on Lake, in Midtown, and wow. Actual amazing authentic cheap Latin food. You come here and you're just getting Americanized fast food that is an absolute rip-off and bastardization and homogenization and appropriation of a culture. Having said that it tastes moderately okay from this location at least, and it's fairly cheap and I can totally understand why you would come here.

My husband has wanted to try this for a long time, and we finally did along our way to Wisconsin. It was near Cane's and right next to KFC, but omg this was SO dang good! I couldn't decide what to order. The empanadas were fresh and hot. Cheesy goodness! The sauce was yummy too. Loved the pulled chicken, and usually I don't like chicken. They had so many sides to pick from. I ordered the yucca fries which were tasty, and my husband got the beans. Quick and fresh. We definitely will be back again!

This is mos Def my fav fried chicken joint! All fried skin and not that extra flour for me is no bueno. Always gots to get the pork & beans. A large order of rice to mix it up in the pork & beans. Yucca fries and empanada with the cilantro sauce muy bien

Every time have to wait outside more them 30 minutes even though it was a online orders. This place is very un professional.

Service: The service is friendly! When you arrive at the doors, there's a sign to knock but the employees are pretty good at spotting people so they will open the door to welcome you in and give you menus. You go to the register to order whenever you're ready. They do have some specials which are written on a chalkboard and the employees are able to tell you about the specials as well. Atmosphere: the restaurant was vibrant with colorful walls, and flowers on the table! It is a sit-down restaurant but fairly casual! It was well lit, and good for gathering with friends and family or coworkers! They also do to-go orders if you're not looking to dine-in! Food/drink: they have plenty of gluten free options and a couple vegetarian options. They are able to modify some of the vegetarian options to be vegan if needed. I ordered the vegetariano saltado, which was well balanced with some salty and tangy notes. It is listed as spicy on the menu but I found it to be quite mild. This was my first time having mote in a dish, which are boiled, peeled, corn kernels. They have a mild nuttiness, and a soft chewable texture which was very nice! Overall I enjoyed this dish and would order it again! The naranjilla juice was also very good! It had a tropical flavor, almost like a pineapple with orange juice flavor. I enjoyed the food overall, and thought the portions were good. Each person in my party of 3 had some leftovers remaining!! I would recommend Chimborazo to anyone interested in trying Ecuadorian food, and I will be back!

I know this place gets a lot of glowing reviews, which is why I kept coming back to give it another shot, but I still don't really get the hype. It's not bad, but it's definitely not great either -- it kind of just exists in that middle ground where nothing stands out. The atmosphere is fun and lively, which is probably its biggest strength. It's a great place to meet up with friends. Service is decent, but the QR code ordering takes away from any real connection with staff, so the whole experience ends up feeling a bit impersonal. I've only had non-alcoholic drinks here, so I can't speak to the margaritas or cocktails that people rave about -- but the NA options I've tried have been fine, nothing particularly memorable. The food is where it really misses for me. Everything I've had has been pretty bland and forgettable. The green salsa was underwhelming, and the burritos I've tried have been barely seasoned -- not spicy, not bold, just kind of flat. I understand Minnesota tends to lean mild, but this felt less like "approachable" and more like the flavors just aren't there. This time I ordered the Lunch Crunch with birria, and it was honestly completely forgettable. Nothing tasted especially fresh or flavorful, and there wasn't a single bite that made me think, "I'd come back for this." The chips are fine, but that's about the most enthusiasm I can muster for the food. After three visits, I don't see myself choosing to come back.

We were pleasantly surprised to find flavorful tostada-like item topped with shredded meat (perhaps pork) and vegetables broke easily in half without making a mess. (The word "tostada" does not appear in the menu, so it must be called something else.) The crisp yuca fries were among the best I've had. I was also very happy that we got extra cabbage slaw. The hearty and just-sweet-enough horchata had some nice spices I didn't recognize. For $30 we stuffed ourselves silly and had leftovers for later. Our server came back from time to time to ensure we had what we needed. The one disappointment was the ambience. They probably kept the lights off because it was hot outside, but when we first walked in I wondered if they were closing soon. Sitting near the window helped us forget that the lights were off. The bathroom was in good working order, if a little run down. In any case, we'll definitely stop by again when we find ourselves in this corner of town. The mojarra frita (fried fish) looks really good, and I want to try that next time.
