When we walked into the store, I was worried that he wouldn't be taken seriously, as he was a teenager and kind of knew what he wanted, but wasn't quite sure. Andrew was who waited on him was awesome with my son. He allowed him to try on different watches. We even went to lunch and came back so that my son made sure that he was buying a watch that he really wanted. Fast forward to this December, he graduates from high school in May and wanted a watch as his gift. My son emailed Andrew and asked when he'd be working while we were in the area and set up a day that we'd come in. I gave Andrew the price range I wanted to work within and he showed my son everything in his price range and helped him find the watch he chose, which wasn't a watch he thought he'd like before we went to the store and tried things on. I can honestly say that we were treated as well as a customer buying his second or third Rolex, each visit. Andrew is my now who my son will buy his future watches from. After conversing with Peter for about 10 minutes, I decided to entrust him with my precious Krieger chronograph, for a much-needed (and overdue) repair ( there were a few issues), maintenance, and cleaning. My confidence was reinforced when Peter informed me he was friends with Ira Krieger, the founder of the Krieger Watch Company. I was pleasantly surprised when Peter told me my watch would be ready the following Thursday. My previous cleaning had taken 6 weeks! I have waited a few weeks to write this very positive review, because I wanted to assess how my watch performed prior to reporting on it. My watch has performed flawlessly since I picked it up, in both timekeeping and stop watch capacities. Peter gave me a range estimate of what the repair/maintenance/cleaning cost might be, as he understandably would not know precisely what would be required until he had the watch apart. I found the cost of repair to be VERY reasonable. I loved the fact that Peter also identified the fact that the band I had been using was very much in need of replacement. He selected a band that he thought was befitting the quality of the watch and complemented its appearance, and went ahead and put it on my Krieger. I of course was under no obligation to take his suggested band, but I LOVED how it upgraded the look of my chronograph, and I was happy to purchase it from him! This to me was just an exceptional retail experience in total, like something out of bygone days! I am so happy to have found Swiss-Time For Watches, and ecstatic that Peter's shop is just about 4 miles from our home, right on Hilton Head Island! And perhaps most important of all, I greatly enjoyed my conversations with Peter each time that I visited his store...I feel like I have made a new friend, in addition to finding a very special resource.
