I had an extremely positive experience with this business! I needed a wedding dress cleaned, pressed and steamed before it could be worn, as the person altering it had pricked a finger while pinning it. Polo Tailors and Cleaners did a beautiful job removing the blood stains and steaming out the old seam lines, as well as ironing out wrinkles in the dress. Also, they charged me a reasonable price, less than I was quoted at other reputable spots. As soon as we were home from the Hill Country wedding, I came back to entrust the post-wedding cleaning to Hoa at Polo Tailors and Cleaners. The wedding day had been drizzly, and the hem and train of the dress were muddy. Hoa, who had helped me so well the first time, got out the mud stains. She also declined to charge me extra for the mud stains. I have not yet had a chance to use their services for alterations, but I was able to watch them measure another client who wanted to have a suit taken in. I'll start off by saying they do quality work here. I've had both dry cleaning and alterations done and was satisfied with the job every time. However, there have been a few incidents that will cause time to most likely never do business with this store again. First off, they lost two of my shirts that I had dry cleaned and altered and never found them again. They did reimburse me for the costs of the shirts which rectified the wrong...but it was still enough for me to not use them for months. Eventually, I ended up returning because they were so conveniently close to my apartment... This past visit...I had my suit altered and was quoted a price UP FRONT and put a down payment on a price we BOTH AGREED UPON before I left. When I go to pick up the suit, she adds on an additional $25 to the bill because she forgot to include the vest (three piece suit) on the original bill I was able to afford the extra cost but I did feel deceived. If you quote a customer a price you should stick to that price. It's not my fault that you failed to tell the right price originally. Therefore, I do appreciate this business for their quality of work. But as a customer I feel like their customer service has been poor which stands out over everything else. read more

I brought in a prom dress to be altered and Hoa was very knowledgable about everything!! She even offered to sew in padding for extra charge so that I wouldn't have to wear a bra with my dress. I thought that was a great idea and was glad she mentioned it. The place itself was clean and organized and there was even a little sale rack with stylish dresses and whatnot. I have brought in all types of items there for alterations from designer name brands (and even shirts for my pooch!) and the fit is not only perfect but my clothes don't look like they've been altered at all!
