I actually enjoyed myself here. Lit party brunch atmosphere. Went on a Sunday of a long weekend and it was fun. The DJ was playing hip pop, soca, dancehall, afrobeats. It is a pretty spacious venue. They don't have a bottomless brunch option like most similar places but they have exaggerated large cocktails that can be shared. We did two towers (200 total I believe) for 8 people and actually was too much. The drink was strong and our batches could of been mixed better, had to use water to cut it. The servers were incredible as well. The establishment also offers hookah. If you are going for the food that's probably not the best idea. The do other things well. This was my first time last night at Polygon ... Last night the line stop moving because EMS was called because a young lady had collapsed outside and patrons on line were concerned.... I was very surprised that my RSVP was not acknowledge because the line had stop moving literally. Upon entering your Security Guard let me know pay or leave and stop holding up the line. At that point I should have left the club just based on his rude tone. When I arrived I bought a cocktail and noticed that same security guard turning up with his party crew smoking blunts and drinking while at work. I was so upset at how he spoke to me I approach him to simply tell him he was rude but he proved himself to be not only rude but insane.... this security guard who is slim not very tall with a ball head or high fade and beard wearing a Black jacket with diamond letters on the back so this gives a good description of him last night . He made it seen while cursing me out and literally threatened to kick me out of the club as he screamed loud and curse me out. I have never in my life time experienced such outrageously disrespectful behavior at a club. I mentioned this to other staff which were the bartenders and guys selling the bottles and they were very apologetic about the incident but could see rhat I was very upset . This place was recommended by a local for good hip hop so I I decided to try it out. I arrived on a Friday around 10pm. I thought the place opened at 7pm (according to google) but they were not open. A few other ladies arrived at the same time an asked if we could still go in so security let us sit and chill. The entry fee was $20 but I was fine with it. I ordered a few drinks (Casa migos & sprite), each drink was about $18. The music on this night was all 90s and early 2000s music. I prefer a mix of new and old school. This is legit the BEST Latin cuisine I have tasted! The tables were not on top of one another, there is social distancing, there is hookah and bottle service as well. I had the Sorullitos, mofongo bites, coconut shrimp as appetizers and had churrasco with white rice, beans & maduros. My sisters had the pork chops and pernil. The rice comes in these cute little pots, the presentation was amazing, the food was delectable & the portions are more than enough to fill you up! We also shared an order of the lobster Mac and cheese OMG!! So good!! I also ordered 2 to-go orders (churrasco, white rice & beans & grilled chicken with arroz gon gandules) because that's how much I loved It! Would not recommend this place. This establishment lacks professionalism. The first point of entry are the bouncers. They are rude and very aggressive. The men bouncers I encountered last night were very sassy and catty. Pushing on females is never okay. Yet alone anyone. From that experience alone why would I want to spend my hard earned money in this establishment. At one point on the entry line we heard what appeared to be gun shots and then saw a bouncer with braids chasing a man on a motorcycle. Don't know if he was doing the shooting or the man on the bike. However, as any human being would do everyone on the line was trying to run for safety. However the zesty/ sassy man at the door was adamant that we could not seek shelter there as we had not paid the 30 cover charge for the night. Again what kind of establishment is this? I called on 2/24/2022 and spoke to a restaurant employee who confirmed it. I asked the employee about a pre-fixed menu and he could not give me details and told me to text the manager who will get back to me. I sent the text on 2/24/2022 and still have not received a response. I decided to call today 3/5/2022 to find out if there will be a cover charge and the pre-fixed menu. To my surprise I was told the restaurant will be closed on 3/18 to the public for a private event. If I had not called my guest and I would have shown up to my 8pm reservation only to not be allowed in the restaurant due to this event. I consider this to be bad business and very unprofessional. This place is dangerous, predatory, and sketchy. My insides felt like they needed a shower after I left. I was brought by friends who wanted to hear a DJ they knew do a sunrise set. The bouncers, staff, and patrons are verbally and physically aggressive. Male friends had their testicles lifted up through their pants while being frisked (for drugs we were told), and when we got inside someone who appeared to be working there was very loudly and aggressively offering to sell hard drugs. The bouncers seemed to be following some people around the venue, making creepy comments letting them know they were being watched, but these people seemed normal (as normal as you get at that hour) while the weirdos/dealers walked around freely? Some random dude shared with me that while they were also body frisked for drugs, the knife they carried was found by a bouncer but was allowed to be brought in. Few women were there, it was mostly single men who were handsy and confrontational. Some rooms were almost entirely empty except for these men wandering through the neon darkness. We ended up leaving in a rush without buying a drink after the last in a string of bizarre, uncomfortable, powder-keg interactions left our skin crawling. Today was my 68th Birthday and my daughters brought me to Polygon. I had a wonderful time. From the time you get there, you are greeted with such friendliness that you think you were with family. The food was delicious and the best thing was that we weren't rushed. We were able to sit and eat our food and talk and laugh. The hostess was wonderful and so very courteous. I was so surprised when they brought out my birthday cupcake with a candle and the most beautiful star and my age in numbers all in lights! I will definitely make this place one of my staples. Next we get upstairs there is no a.c only fans and it doesn't help the heat. We ordered the empanadas and my son found a hair in it. Nothing was done to compensate for the hair in the food. Next the food was bland. The pizza, rice and beans had no seasoning. The drinks were expensive at $18. You can't substitute rice instead of fries so I had to order an extra side of rice and beans that my 10year old said were gross. My dad had a fried porkchop which also lacked flavor.
