I am beyond disappointed with my experience with Polywood. I purchased a counter-height table and chairs for over $3,000, expecting premium quality and customer service. Instead, I've encountered one problem after another. The table arrived with factory-installed screws driven completely through the tabletop, leaving visible punctures in the finished surface. This should never have passed quality control. After contacting customer service, I was told a replacement tabletop would be sent. As of June 13, it still has not arrived. To make matters worse, one of the chairs arrived missing two side braces. I was assured the missing parts would be expedited, yet they have still not been delivered. The frustration didn't end there. My church expressed interest in using the damaged tabletop, so rather than throw it away--as Polywood actually suggested--I purchased an additional set of table legs at a cost of nearly $300 so the tabletop could be repurposed instead of discarded. Ironically, that order arrived quickly. However, when I opened the package on June 13, I discovered that it too was incomplete and missing two leg braces. It is unbelievable that after spending over $3,000 on the original furniture set and another $300 on replacement components, I am still receiving incomplete shipments. Adding to the frustration was Polywood's delivery partner, RXO. I took a day off from work and arranged for a couple of friends to come over to help with the delivery and installation. RXO failed to show up on the scheduled delivery date, wasting not only my time but also the time of the people who had volunteered to help. No customer should have to use vacation time and coordinate assistance only to be left waiting for a delivery that never arrives. At this point, it appears there is little to no quality control in either manufacturing, shipping, or logistics. How does a company selling premium outdoor furniture repeatedly ship products with missing parts, obvious factory defects, and then fail to deliver on its commitments? I have now spent well over $3,300 and still do not have a complete, usable furniture set. I have wasted countless hours on phone calls, emails, assembly delays, missed deliveries, and waiting for replacement parts that never seem to arrive. What is most disappointing is that every time I contact customer service, I am given assurances that the issue will be resolved quickly, yet weeks later I am still waiting. A premium-priced product should come with premium quality control and customer support. Instead, this experience has been a constant cycle of defects, missing parts, delays, and excuses. If Polywood does not provide an immediate resolution and a clear timeline for delivering all outstanding replacement items, I will have no choice but to dispute the charges with my credit card company and cancel any remaining orders. Sadly, this was possibly the worst customer experience I have ever had. I ordered two Polywood chaise lounges in mid-April as a gift for my daughter. In addition to the purchase price, I paid nearly $400 (!) for white-glove delivery and assembly. My daughter took a day off work in mid-May to accept the delivery by the freight company RXO, scheduled for a 1-5 pm timeframe. The truck arrived later than promised, around 7 pm, and the delivery team, two very young men, looking barely older than teenagers, attempted to assemble the chairs inside the truck. After an hour or so, one guy announced that the chairs were defective, with mismatched parts. He advised my daughter to decline the delivery, which she did, and said that Polywood would contact her about a replacement. The next day, I contacted Polywood myself and spoke to Karen. I was told that they would ship replacement parts to my daughter, and to call back when the parts were received, and then Polywood would contact RXO to bring back the original chairs for reassembly. Another couple of weeks go by, my daughter receives the parts package, and I call Polywood. We schedule another day for delivery and assembly (and another day off for my daughter). On the day of the reattempted delivery, my daughter receives a call from RXO confirming their appointment to reassemble the chairs. Fortunately, my daughter had the sense to confirm that they were bringing back the original chairs. This was news to RXO, as the representative said they no longer had the original chairs. They were under the impression that my daughter had both the original chairs and the replacement parts. My daughter cancelled the appointment. There goes another day off for nothing. My several calls to Polywood failed to ascertain the location of the original chairs, so eventually Polywood rep Stephen said he would order replacement chairs. It is now mid-June. I get a shipment notification that the new chairs go out on June 15, but for two weeks the order tracking continues to show that the delivery is in progress. So, I call Polywood again, and am assured that the items are on their way. Then, I get an email from RXO asking me to schedule delivery. Hooray! The only problem is that it is a different tracking number from the one Polywood provided for the replacement chairs. Before my daughter takes yet another day off work, I call Polywood to confirm that RXO is trying to deliver the replacement chairs, not the original chairs. Unfortunately, the Polywood reps can't connect with anyone at RXO, so no one knows. It is now the Fourth of July, midway through summer here, and my daughter still doesn't have chaise lounges, and Polywood still has my money. I was able to get Polywood to refund the shipping and delivery fee for my troubles, but, at this point, we really just want the chairs (they match a patio set my daughter already has, and she had already purchased cushions). Suddenly, I start getting multiple emails and text notifications from RXO to schedule delivery, and even one with an actual delivery date already scheduled. The problem is, there are multiple tracking numbers!!! Which one is for the actual replacement chairs? Is one an old ticket for the original chairs? Who knows? The numbers are all different from the earlier delivery and from any tracking numbers provided by Polywood. Stephen at Polywood emailed (he always acknowledged my pain, bless his heart, but I think he might be an A.I. agent. Other Polywood reps were also unfailingly polite.) that he was unable to get an answer from anyone at RXO, and advised that the prescheduled delivery order was probably for the replacement chairs, since apparently Polywood had by now received the original chairs back from RXO. So now, mid-July, I take time off work to attend the delivery at my daughter's home (she wasn't about to take more time off). This time, the delivery team shows up within the scheduled window, and, at last, the chairs are assembled and placed correctly. Two days later, I get an email from Polywood asking me to rate my customer experience. Seriously? Twenty-some emails and calls from me, and you don't know? To summarize: Expensive shipping and handling fees, inexperienced assembly team, ineffective communication between Polywood and RXO, and automated message systems substituting for actual service. It's too bad, because the product is pretty good... for plastic furniture. read more

Sadly, we are very dissatisfied with some of the furniture we have purchased. We have over 30 tables and all get stains from food, such as potato chips and simple oils. you cannot simply wash off or steam them out. Customer service has no solution. all of our over 150 chairs have broken screws all on the third slat of the chairs. All need to be removed, extract the broken screws and replace, which is very time consuming. Considering the price, we are not satisfied. I hope the company will have someone contact me. From the very beginning, my experience was horrible! Poor communication regarding shipping. They sell a "White Glove Delivery Service" that is crap...lond wait time to schedule, rude delivery men. The delivery men started to assemble the table incorrectly and when I pointed it out, they started to drill new holes. I stopped them and they became more rude. A second table was delivered and I never heard from the "White Glove" service so my husband assembled. I did negotiate a refund , but then had to have multiple email conversations to actually get the refund. We have had their rockers for 14 years. Had an issue with two and between Polywood and Sullivan Hardware, they replaced the pieces required. Very happy with the rockers and the support and warranty. The rockers are on our porch year round and exposed to sun and have never faded. read more

Polywood doesn't deliver as promised. I ordered on the 30th. They 1st said delivery by the 11th. I checked their tracking on the 11th and it hadn't even shipped. They apologized and offered a $150 discount and promised it would ship on the 12th. The shipping company tracking showed it didn't ship until 16th. Local terminal said they received it on 17th at 6am but couldn't deliver until 18th. I had made travel plans based on what they told me and then rearranged them based on their revisions. Now I'm told by the shipping company that I can come pick it up at their terminal today (17th) or refuse the shipment. Polywood was lied to by shipping company and doesn't care (obviously). Ordered chairs and table, the first chair out of the box was missing a screw, the second was missing their logo (their badge). I opened another box and the screws completely missed the board (see photos). I didn't bother opening any more boxes. Quality control must have been on vacation. I recently purchased 6 outdoor Adirondack chairs from POLYWOOD. Every single chair has a problem. It was a nightmare to assemble with missing pieces and badly drilled holes and parts not lining up properly because they were unevenly cut in factory. I especially purchased this product because it was made in USA and had a warranty. I don't know if the quality control person was drunk or new to the factory - but this is unacceptable. Also - their customer service was not helpful and they didn't honor their warranty. I also had to pay the carpenter a lot more because it took so much longer to assemble since he had to work around the faulty problems with each piece. I would not buy from this company ever again. Be warned of significant quality control issues. You'll then have to work with Customer Service and wait for the re-manufacture and re-shipment of replacement items. And at the end of it all, Polywood will only very minimally compensate you for the hassle that you'll go through. In our case, we ordered a large 8-person Vineyard table and chairs. We originally opened our table and were flabbergasted to turn it over and find screws coming up out of all four corners. In addition, the table top was severely scratched and slats weren't evenly spaced across the top. Chairs arrived in satisfactory condition. After calling Customer Service, they expedited the manufacture of a replacement table and had it shipped out to us. We had to schedule another delivery which was a bit of an inconvenience, given that delivery companies generally give you a four-hour delivery window. After finally receiving and putting the replacement table together we turned it over and went to place it. That's when we discovered that the outside frame wasn't attached to the table top, leaving one whole side of the table top unattached and unstable. By this point, we were frustrated. We were able to investigate the cause of the issue and fix it ourselves, given that we are handy. It was a better solution than to wait and have a THIRD table sent out. Given we received TWO faulty tables the likelihood of a third was pretty high. Better to have fixed it ourselves. During this entire situation, Customer Service was very polite and while they expressed disappointment in the issues, when it came down to it they really didn't want to do much other than to keep sending us new tables. Meaning, you have to wait for it to be re-manufactured, shipped, be present at home for another four-hour window and all the while being without a table that was originally ordered many weeks ago. There were countless hours on the phone and in email communication to discuss the issues, share photos and explain the situation and requested resolution(s). At the end of it all, we received a VERY minor rebate in comparison to the price of the table. And honestly, I had to fight for that. They didn't want to compensate us for having received TWO faulty tables. Also, be warned for an original order that it generally takes two weeks to manufacture and then more time to ship - so you'll be in for a wait. They do make that clear, it's just unfortunately slow. The product, when put together properly and with problems avoided, is nice. But I'd steer away given the high likelihood of receiving poor quality items. read more

My experience coincides with others that have had quality control issues with their products. In this case it was just missing screws (they were specialty heads - not normal hardware store stuff). Should be an easy fix but their customer service made it a real hassle to resolve the problem. Two weeks later, after not receiving the missing parts, I went to reply to their email asking me to rate their customer service (it wasn't going to be good). But their server gave an error message that their service can no longer be rated because the case has been marked closed. 1) Why would they close the case before I received my parts? 2) How can I accurately rate their service without looking back at it after the issue has been resolved? There should at least be a window of a few weeks after contacting them. So, be warned, they are not a good company. read more

Do not order from Polywood! The furniture quality I believe is fine, time will tell, but the customer service and delivery of my product has been a nightmare. I ordered my polywood back at the beginning of April. My husband and I both took the process seriously, took time off of work to go to their location in Syracuse to select the furniture. We went with the designer series, a more expensive option but were guaranteed everything would be treated with excellence especially picking the designer series. We purchased several pieces from the designer series which was quite expensive. We were told the order would arrive at the end of June or first week of July. At the end of June I contacted Polywood because in May I received an email stating my order was wrapping up but had heard nothing since then. When I contacted them at the end of June with the assumption my order would arrive any day, I was told my order had not even been started yet. At this point I had waited almost 3 months! Come to find out the fabric cushions I ordered were out of stock and they had no idea when they were getting more fabric in. I called or emailed and spoke to someone different almost everyday for over a week. Many individuals told me they would reach back out to me and then never did. I am disappointed that we were not contacted once about delays in our order. I was told all different pieces of information. When I inquired about the cancelling my order, the next morning I received an email stating that the fabric for my cushions had just arrived (I'm not sure how that is true since the day prior they had not been able to get an estimate from the supplier when they would be able to make more fabric). Well of course my order did not ship quickly. It arrived the last weekend in July. At this point I've waited 4 months. And the saga does not end there, they were missing parts of my order. I ordered a section and 2 cushions were missing. I also ordered a fire table and the entire table was missing from the order except the trim. I am incredibly disappointed that this is an ongoing issue. I called right away to Polywood and spoke to someone that said they would get a rush on the firetable within the week. Well of course I never heard back and I didn't hear anything for a week so I called back, got someone who couldn't help. I emailed and I was told they would remake and reship the parts. Of course that is not a quick process. I am incredibly disappointed with how my order has been handled. Throughout the process I was made many many promises that were untrue. I would NOT recommend anyone purchase from Polywood unless they want to deal with a lot of headache and disappointment. By the time the rest of my order is shipped it will be 5-6 months from when I placed my order. Additionally, I live in Indiana so the window of time to use outdoor furniture is very small. Unfortunately my husband and I were planning to continue to purchase from Polywood over the years to expand our collection. We purchased four mahogany Adirondack chairs for our daughter for Christmas. The chairs are comfortable and attractive. Assembly was easy but one of the chairs came with an incorrect piece. When we called the polywood service dept. we were very impressed with the service. They apologized, were kind and sent the correct piece within a few days. Got a patio set delivered. Everything was comfortable and SOLID. Found I was missing one box which was supposed to contain the table legs. Contacted the shipping company who told me it wasn't included when they picked up from the factory and I should call the factory. Oh Boy! I was afraid I was going to get caught in the middle of the shipper blaming the factory and the factory blaming the shipper.
