Nine dogs. We paid for that reserved section -- pony wall, small gate, TVs -- and for four people on an 18-hole Golden Tee round. The product did not match the pitch. Three of eight kegs were blown, including the three people actually wanted. Coors Light was $6.50. Someone was cleaning dog pee off the floor in front of the taps in the reserved area. The only way to the outdoor yard is through a door, past three rows of kennels, onto Astroturf. You cannot see that yard from the bar. The turf smelled like concentrated dog urine. I lasted about two minutes. Then there was Kendall. I don't know who peed in her Cheerios, but she was rude from the first sentence and she never changed. Dark, cold, one note. Appalling. You would swear a birthday group had done something to harm her. We had not. I wouldn't wish this kind of treatment on my worst enemy. Another employee opened the gate. Dogs went through. Kendall watched it. Her first words to us were still to keep the dogs in. I told her we were trying, and that she had just watched her coworker open the gate. She ran the same short script anyway. About fifty words. Same loop. At least six times. The tell was mid-round. Every dog was already inside the reserved area. She came back and gave the leash speech again. I asked which dogs were off-leash. None. I asked whether dogs even needed leashes in the reserved area. She said no. So there was no rule left to justify interrupting a paying party. That is not safety. That is an employee who cannot drop a line -- after her own staff caused the first exit, after the dogs were already where she wanted them, and after she conceded the rule did not apply. One other employee was fine. Kendall treated customers like an obstacle in her shift. I would not leave a dog with someone who carries that disposition. She did not want to be at work. She should not be in customer service. If she reported to me she would not have made the second pass. We left after three holes because she made the night miserable. I am 40. I have never been treated worse by an employee at a business. This is not an exaggeration. I would welcome a call from the owners. Wish I could give negative stars. We will not be back.

This public dog run/park is being used mostly by the tenants of the adjacent Riverstone apartments. Add shading, more seating and better ground cover and this is a 3 star dog park/run. Fixed the drainage issue, add a small dog run and better access and this could be a 4 star dog run/park.

There is parking either at McEuen Park or over by the Trailhead marker by Sanders Beach. Hiked during the week and it wasn't too crowded though some of the beach areas scattered along the way are not huge so you may want to get there earlier on weekends. The hike itself is fairly easy to moderate. The main trail is easy, however, if you go off path and down to the shoreline you just have to watch your step.
