We were driving through town and wanted to get out of traffic for a while and take a break. I always look for breweries when I travel because it's usually a great way to get to know an area and relax. This time, when I saw a Cider co. I couldn't resist and we decided to mix it up a bit. We absolutely loved it! The individual who helped us was super nice, let us have a couple samples to decide what we wanted and was happy to make recommendations. It's a cute little barn type structure with a fantastic outdoor space (love love love the misters!) and they allow you to bring food onsite which is a plus! All of the ciders we had were just delightful and we ended up taking home a bottle and a 4 pack of cans to share with the fam. Will be on the look out from more for Ponderosa and can't wait to come back!

Great place, great service, great cider, and great trivia nights. Family and dog friendly.

Had a great first visit to this welcome new addition to the neighborhood. As much as I love beer this is a cool alternative. I'm only used to sweet ciders that I can only make it about half way through. The ones we tried were much more mild and dry. The sangria was very unique with a bunch of different flavors. My favorite was the pineapple. The owners were very friendly and able to answer all my questions on the process. I'm a home brewer and love talk about the difference in technique. Definitely will be making this a regular stop.

I'm a huge cider fan. This place is very new and trying. It's a nice alternative to beer or wine. They do a flight so you can try their various options. Southern aspect and the Dutchess are average apple options. I had high hopes for the sangria. It's not at all what was expected. Note! It's a white sangria! Apricot, apple, lemon. You can buy everything in a can. I wish there was a blackberry cider or pear cider or more of a variety. All options are very similar. They are dog friendly which is nice. They have ample seating. I do love their merch area. I wish the sweater crop was just a long sleeve shirt crop since it's spring and in the 70s. This place is worth trying. Refreshing. Hospitality wise they are super great. Bathroom is clean.

Drove here all the way from Elk Grove. There aren't many options when it comes to ciders in the greater Sacramento area, unless you buy direct from a retailer. I've been a big fan and still am of Two Rivers in Sacramento, but let me emphasize, Ponderosa has just replaced them on my list as #1. I will make the hour drive to come here any day. The staff (1 person, at the time) is amazing and so accommodating. The ciders... left me speechless. All were so wonderfully crafted, I still can't decide which I liked best. If you are a true cider enthusiast (non of that sweet kiddy cider stuff), this is a cider worth traveling for! Don't take my word for it, go try it for yourself. You won't be disappointed.

This is such a cool place to check out. Been to a lot of breweries, but this was my first cider place and well worth a visit. The staff was super knowledgeable and knew everything about their different ciders. Felt light a less snobby wine tasting experience with much more interesting and creative flavor profiles.

Fortunately, we remembered passing a sign for Indigeny Reserve and saw on the map that it was within walking distance. Since it was already after 3pm and they closed at 5pm, we decided to drive over and make the most of our afternoon before they closed. When we walked in, the building was empty, but we were eager to try a cider tasting. Browsing the shop, we found a variety of merchandise--shirts, hats, sweaters, and an assortment of cheeses, crackers, chips, and other tasty treats. Eventually, a friendly staff member greeted us and offered the $10 tasting. Since closing time was approaching, she joked about giving us paper cups to avoid running the dishwasher. We didn't mind, but she kindly served the cider in glasses, which made the experience nicer. She also offered a whiskey tasting in a cool room lined with barrels and tables, plus gift boxes and other products. The whiskey tasting was just $2, with three varieties to sample. I'm not much of a whiskey fan, but I appreciated that she wasn't rushing us out. Both of us loved the Blackberry cider, so we each ordered a glass to enjoy outside. The outdoor area is expansive, with wooden benches, tables, and lawn chairs scattered across a grassy lawn overlooking a large vineyard. Only a few couples and families lingered--likely because of the early closing time. After relaxing with our ciders, we wandered down the trail to the lake. Along the way, we discovered old barns, a whimsical gnome area, and several upside-down boats tied up near the shore. If the boats hadn't been secured, we joked about taking one out for a row on the lake! We thoroughly enjoyed our time at Indigeny Reserve and, in retrospect, wished we had brought the teens along. Still, it made for a wonderful little date.

Honestly, fitness is a scam and I support it. It was St. Patty's Day, and since our original spot needed to close early, my friend hit me with, "Want to take this down the street?" and I was like... duh. Say less. So we walked over to Nitty's Cider and let me just say--what a surprise in the best way. From the outside, you'd never fully guess how cool this place actually is. But the second you step in? Boom. Whole vibe. Games, great energy, super fun local atmosphere... the kind of place that makes you instantly relax and think, "Yep, this was the right move." And let's talk about the service because that part really stood out. We walked in looking exactly like two people who had just completed a run--aka one of us looked casually athletic and the other looked like cardio had taken a personal shot at them. I'll let you guess which one I was. Meanwhile, my friend somehow looked effortless, like she had just stepped out of a commercial for activewear and good decisions. But the staff? Super friendly, welcoming, and cool right away. No weirdness, no awkward "you clearly just exercised" energy... just genuine hospitality that made it easy to settle in and enjoy ourselves. That's always a win. The cider hit, the vibe hit, and the whole place just felt like one of those hidden little gems you're happy someone put you onto. This is definitely one of those spots where you can walk in casually, hang out, laugh, play a few games, and lose track of time in the best way. In all, Nitty's is way cooler than it looks from the outside--and that's saying something. So next time you're nearby, stop in, grab a drink, and catch the energy for yourself. Because this place? Yeah... it's got something.
