Fun & games outside Two Rivers
Nicholle C.

Absolutely the BEST secret hangout spot in Sac! The cider quality and selection is top-notch, the staff is excellent, and the events are super fun. They have live music, line-dancing, art demonstrations, you name it! I love that there is a play area with games like skee ball, foosball and classic arcade games, so there's lots of fun stuff to do. At this point, we are regulars, and are happy to support Two Rivers!

Great variety of flavors

Great variety of ciders; so many that I decided to try a flight of four. There was a bit of a line, but the server was fast and friendly. I tried Bone Dry, Ginger, Chai, and Chilly Willy (Dry apple paired with spicy chili). I liked them all. This is a very family-friendly establishment. In fact, there was a child's birthday party in process, so there were quite a few kids running around the outdoor area. All seemed to be having a great time. If in the area, I would definitely stop in again.

This is a good place to get a cider drink and hang out. The service is friendly. They have indoor and outdoor seating. They often have live music. Sometimes they have open mic for musicians. There was a kids birthday party happening when we last came in on a Sunday afternoon. I felt like I was sitting in the middle of a playground with a bunch of screaming kids as I drank my cider. Whatever happened to Chucky Cheese for those types of events? The ciders are among the best I've had anywhere. The pomegranate is one of my favorites. You can buy 4-packs to go.

Outside area. Pomogranate cider.

Super cute place to enjoy inside or outside, the parking is on the street but within walking distance. I tried the pomegranate cider and it was super good. The service was fast, they have an easy to read menu. At the time we went there was music and dancing in one of the rooms, it was pretty cool.

Staff was very friendly and attentive. The ambiance was very cozy and intimate. There was a food truck on site as well however I didn't try it. All their ciders were delicious and reasonably priced. I'd recommend giving it a try if you're into hard ciders. It's worth a visit for sure.

Staff was very friendly and atmosphere was very peaceful. I enjoyed the mural on the wall and location was easy to find. I wish they had a bit more ciders that are on the sweeter side but happy I got to go and check them out. If you like dry ciders with a decent amount of flavor options check them out

Two Rivers is located in a bit of an odd spot, it's a mostly residential neighborhood and parking can be a pain in the butt but we arrived on a Saturday at 8pm and was able to park pretty easily. They close at 9pm so the food truck was starting to pack up and it was pretty dead, but all good with us. They had 2 large tables inside with a few wall seating areas but lots of outdoor sitting at picnic tables. I loved that they had a DJ booth with lots of records and they had a small selection of games to play and even blankets for guests on colder nights. They offered various flavors of cider so we opted for a flight. We got 4, 4oz pours for $11. Not a bad deal at all. We tried the OG apple, pomegranate, strawberry jam and blackberry. I did ask for recommendations and the guy was really truthful on the ones he didn't like so I really appreciated that. In all honesty, I wasn't really a fan of any of the ciders we sampled. Apple and pomegranate tasted the same, like a semi sweet dry champagne but I didn't taste any of the fruit aspects of the cider for those 2. Strawberry jam did have a small hint of strawberry and was decent. Blackberry was our favorite as it the one with the most distinct flavor. There were so many other flavors left to try but because we came so close to closing we decided not to get another flight but based on the vibe and service we would still consider coming back to try the other flavors.

Two Rivers Cider in Sacramento nails it with their Yuzu Cider. Tangy, sweet, and refreshing - pairs well with the chicken Bahn mi i - Don't miss it if you're in town.

Loved this brewery, very open so kids can play, there was music and lots of seating. They also had games for the kids a basketball hoop, and the food vendor that was there was unique and delicious "For the love of Malta" a Maltese food truck so good! The tender was knowledgeable and very sweet and helpful. Definitely going back!

A hidden gem. There are so many good things to say about this place. The stuff is incredibly helpful, and friendly. The cider is perfectly priced and I have yet to try a flavor I didn't like. They're flavor development is top notch, keeping a balance of sweet and dry in each taste. Live music, delicious food being served as well as tasty snacks like chips and salsa or popcorn served regularly. On top of all that, the atmosphere is really laid back and relaxing with outdoor seating under white lights and tent coverings, surrounded by succulents.

Ginger, huckleberry, strawberry jam, and blackberry
Michelle L.

It's rare to find a cider tasting room, but I'm glad this exist! I tried 4 samplers for $8 (ginger, huckleberry, strawberry jam and blackberry), which is such a good deal. I liked ginger (kind of like ginger ale) and strawberry jam the best. I would have never guessed that starberry jam could even be a flavor! My friend had yuzu cider, which I wish I got too. It is so fragrant and taste just like the fruit. The ambience is very chill with a lot of old bikes as decor. Even though this should be a 21+ place, there were a few kids running around and playing various boardgames. There's a little game room on the side too. Very cool place to chill and maybe even study too since they have free wifi. Will definitely be back!

Great place for cider lovers! After trying their Blackberry Cider, I knew I had to come to the source. They offer a good variety of ciders. My favorites include the Huckleberry and Blackberry Ciders. They're both sweet, but not overly sweet, and flavorful. They do offer a flight of 4 ciders for $8 if you wanna try more flavors and I think this is a great deal. Venue has indoor and outdoor seating and the decor is super eclectic. Had a great time here!

Great outdoor patio area

Great place with expansive outdoor area to enjoy great local cider. We enjoyed a cider flight which was four tastes for $11. They have quite a lot of flavors to choose from. Service was helpful and friendly. Bring your dog as well. Highly recommend.

Made a Yelp account just to leave this review!…read more We went to Great Bear Vineyards for their Valentine's day Chocolate and Wine tasting and had a wonderful time. Their chocolate/wine pairings complemented beautifully together and left us savoring each individual flavor. Afterwards we were visited by Jenny, a winemaker who noticed our cups were empty and offered us more wine to taste. Overall, a very pleasant and romantic experience. Would love to visit again in better weather (and when the grapes are in season)!

Our…read moreoriginal plan was just to stop by for a glass of wine, but we weren't really asked what option we preferred and were automatically charged for a wine tasting. I'm guessing wine tastings are mainly what the vineyard offers, but it would've been nice to have the choice explained first. This is where my 2/5 stars comes in. They only had one person serving about 12 tables. My party was only a group of 2, but there were other tables with groups as large as 9 people. It literally took 25 minutes to receive my second pour, and the only reason we got it was because I had to remind the staff. I think having at least two people pouring wine would make the experience much smoother. Upon arrival, they also have a small parking area for non-reserved parking. Luckily, we were able to find a close spot. As for the restroom, personally I'm not a fan of unisex bathrooms, and they also did not have seat covers available. Overall, the staff was friendly, but the service and organization could definitely be improved. Apart from all this, I have visited multiple wineries in Livermore, which is closer to the Bay Area, and their wine bottles are much cheaper. Their wine tasting options are also more affordable. This is just my personal experience and opinion overall I don't think I would consider coming back.

Shoutout to the West Sacramento/ Clarksburg area…read more... The Old Sugar Mill in Clarksburg is a historic beet sugar refinery from 1934-1993 that has wine shops and tasting rooms for local wineries. They have over a dozen wineries. Wine tastings average $15 and most wineries waive the fee if you buy a bottle. They have wine shops in the main building and in the other building. Don't forget to walk back and to the right to the shops in the separate back building, there is 3-4 more wineries. Each winery are literal walled shops with their own seating areas. Temperature controlled which is nice on hot summer days. Each have their own wine tasting, food offerings, and special events. Old Sugar Mill is less than 15 minute drive from downtown Sacramento. The buildings are beautiful. They kept the historic brick walls and exterior. It has a modern shabby chic look. Three different brands owned the refinery. It all began in 1934 with Amalgamated, American Crystal Sugar Factory (1936-1982), and Delta Sugar (1983-1993). The sugar was refined by local Northern Californian grown beets. The buildings was renovated in 2000 for its current use. Awesome concept and beautiful architecture design. They also host weddings and events. They have a banquet room with slideshow equipment. There is also an outdoor lawn and adjoining paved patio area that is shaded in the afternoon by the buildings that would make for a gorgeous wedding venue. On hot summer days, the Delta breeze kicks in for instant cool down. No outside food are picnics are allowed. On the weekends, they have food trucks. Plus the majority of the wineries sell food (appetizers) as well. Also no pets are allowed (excluding service animals). The restrooms are located right by the front entrance.

Bathrooms- They have many stalls in the bathroom located to the left of the entrance. Temperature- It's cool inside, a little too cool for us today. It was 63 degrees out today and warm in the sun. I bet in the sweltering heat of our summers this is the perfect place to be. The Sugar Mill is an indoor venue. They have three different building with different wineries at this time. So, there is a little walking outside. Wine Barrels- You can buy half wine barrels for your garden for sale. Seating- They have lots of little seating areas. Inside they have a whole room with seating and nice decor. The tables are draped in white table cloths and there are stacks of wine barrels as the back drop. They have a palm court in the back and it's so quaint and beautiful. Perfect for sipping some wine slowly and chit chatting with friends. If you are looking to sit in the sun there is are a set of tables and chairs out back near the food truck. Ambiance- I love the location and building. It's an old Sugar Mill that produced sugar from sugar beets. That industry has now ended and it's now a place to visit many wineries. It's the only place that I know of that have numerous wineries and offer wine tasing for a minimum fee.

Tucked away in Clarksburg, this woman-owned winery is charming and intimate. The parking lot is small (around 15 cars), but it's conveniently located right off the main road, so it's easy to find. Wine highlights: * 2017 Cabernet Sauvignon (bestseller): rich and layered with ripe strawberry, plum, mocha, and a hint of spice * 2023 Montepulciano (2026 SF Chronicle Gold Winner): light, easy drinking with raspberry, cranberry, and herbal notes * 2023 Durif (my favorite): dark, bold, and complex with blackberry, plum, and a smooth structured finish * 2021 Blanc de Noir sparkling: light, crisp, and bubbly * 2025 Verdejo (new release): fresh, aromatic with peach and citrus Wine flights (any 4) are only $15: great value. They put small stickers to indicate the wine on each tasting glass. Food: Four cheese panini and Reuben panini are solid picks, served with kettle chips or salad. Service: friendly, decent speed Wine club is also very accessible: no membership fee to join, with 3 tiers (4, 6, or 12 bottles), and complimentary tastings for up to 4 guests. Restroom: 2 (two) (all genders): spacious, clean. The atmosphere is what really makes this place stand out: well-manicured grounds with fragrant roses, apricot trees, a charming chicken coop area, and a beautiful open event space with hanging lights. Live music every Saturday and every other Sunday adds to the experience. They also offer private event spaces where you can bring your own food (just purchase their wine), which makes it a great spot for celebrations. Overall, a perfect little weekend escape if you're looking for a relaxed, intimate winery experience. Bonus: they even have a cozy corner dedicated to adoptable cats: each with their own name and personality profile. Currently 3 boys and 1 girl, $150 per cat.

Given that the wine industry is struggling, it is very frustrating to see prices remaining high. That said, because of the unique nature and flavor profile of the Montepulciano, we purchased a bottle. Overall it was an "OK" experience, but the price point is a turn off. Shaye was an absolute delight to work with and we always felt cared for. As a queer couple, it was so nice to feel welcomed and accepted by Scribner Bend and all of their preferred vendors we spoke with. May was the perfect time to be there, the white roses on the arches were in bloom which complemented the rest of our florals beautifully. Our whole day flowed so smoothly thanks to Deija, our day-of planner provided by Scribner Bend, and all of the rest of the staff. All of our guests were so complimentary of the wine, the setting, and the flow of the evening. We really could not have wished for a better venue experience. We also want to note, Paesanos was an exceptional caterer! I know some might be concerned with not having a choice of caterer but we found it to be a relief (one less vendor to coordinate) and Paesanos did a fantastic job. The staff at the self service bar was very friendly but our personal tasting staff left a little more to be desired. We wish he would have broke down what flavor and scent notes each wine had, what charcuterie items paired well with what wines and remind us to rinse our glasses between tastings to avoid mixed flavor notes. He was more so in a rush and even after being tipped was sort of in a rush to get us out so he could get the table ready for the next party. We wound up getting two bottles of 2019 Grand Durif Petite Sirah to go, as when you spend over $100 your wine tasting is comped. We receive quarterly shipments and visit regularly for tastings or a glass of wine, particularly during the summer and fall. The wine itself is consistently very good, especially the red wines. Their red blends are a real strength--the BDX blend is a great example and one we return to often. We also appreciate the inclusion of less common varietals, such as Teroldego, which has become one of our favorites. Many of the wines lean toward Spanish varietals, which makes sense given the Clarksburg AVA and helps distinguish Silt from more conventional tasting rooms. That said, they also offer a solid lineup of white and sparkling wines. While I'm not typically much of a white-wine drinker, their whites are often floral, complex, and refreshing without being overly sweet. I frequently enjoy them on site--especially during warm weather and when using my complimentary tastings as a wine club member. The sparkling wines are also well done and fit the setting nicely. The tasting experience itself is relaxed and well paced. Like many wineries today, service is brought directly to your table rather than handled at a traditional wine bar, which works especially well here. Staff are attentive, knowledgeable, and friendly without being intrusive. As regulars, we're often recognized when we arrive--particularly my partner, who is far more outgoing than I am--which adds to the welcoming, community feel. The tasting room is housed in a historic, refurbished barn set among vineyards and adjacent to a slough. One side is framed by large heritage trees, the other by open vineyard views. It's a beautiful setting, though naturally open to the elements. The facilities are thoughtfully designed, with a variety of seating options including high tables, low tables, and couches. Bathrooms are clean and well maintained. In warmer months, swamp coolers help keep the barn comfortable, and in cooler weather, heat lamps are available. During summer, mosquitoes can be present given the proximity to the slough, but insect repellent is provided. They regularly host live music events, where wine can be purchased by the glass or bottle, and food trucks are often available. These events feel lively and social without becoming crowded or chaotic. This winery was formerly Wilson Family Winery, which was successful in its own right, and the current iteration has clearly built on that foundation. We've visited many wineries over the years and consider ourselves fairly serious wine enthusiasts, and in our opinion, Silt Wine Company stands out as one of the best wineries in Clarksburg and even beyond the immediate region. It's a genuine gem and one we're always happy to return to.
