Even though we have a small yard, they were able to make it look so much larger by moving things around and creating a better flow. It seriously looks like we added square footage. All of the plants that they chose for our yard are so beautiful and unique. Everyone that comes by wants to know what each plant is called because they aren't the very common yard plants that everyone has...they are so interesting! They chose the foliage specifically for what they knew would grow well in our area and with the sunlight for each side of the house. Thoughtfulness went into every aspect of each item they added...from the plants, to the wood and stone for the built in bbq, the special market lights (that are really unique and fun), all the way to the treated concrete. Over the weeks we got to know the workers, and it was a sad day when it finished and we knew they would not be showing up again every morning. What started as a patio tile removal turned into a much bigger job than anticipated, requiring several days of jackhammering to remove the existing material. The team also removed our old turf and dug down about 7 inches to properly prepare the area for the new installation. They installed the necessary base, DG, gopher wire, and weed control, taking the time to do everything correctly. The new turf is excellent quality, and we are extremely happy with how beautiful and natural it looks. The new pavers were installed perfectly and look absolutely gorgeous! Being an older La Jolla home that has been through several updates of different styles over the years, there were multiple mini projects to accomplish. The work they did included extensive vine and root removal, brick work, extending a retaining wall, building a fence, rock-scaping, sod laying, irrigation work, and planting a variety of plants including privacy bushes, small plants, succulents, and a fruit tree. The Bilt by Cam crew did such a nice job and finished quickly.
