Their pool is constantly undergoing some sort of HVAC issues which leads to ongoing and almost weekly pool closures. For gym members, I assume you are hoping your gym membership includes access to a pool which means 9 out of 10 times in any given month you are dealing with a closed pool. The dumb bells appear to be in random order and plates seem to be haphazardly put back as well. I got here at 5am when they open and there was an old plastic water bottle on the floor. Seems like no one is taking care of this gym. Not specific to this location, but City Sports Club needs to open earlier on the weekend. 8am is ridiculously late. Would love to see 6am or earlier Saturday and Sunday like almost every other gym does. Apparently, management chooses not to manage that issue. You need some fresh teachers and new classes in the exercise room. Same old boring stuff. Get some actual Mixxed Fit, U-Jam, or other classes with fresh choreography and music. It's like a senior center in there, which would be fine as far as the seniors, but even seniors like to do NEW choreography. At least pre-pandemic when Bob was teaching Zumba, he kept up with new routines. That's why his Monday night class was packed. There was actual choreography.

When I cancelled, that fee was deducted from my refundable membership deposit. The club later pointed to bylaw language allowing legal-counsel-related fees to be assessed without a member vote, which may be permitted under their rules, but I found the overall handling and communication disappointing. In my view, prospective members should understand that membership may involve additional assessments beyond the regular dues, including legal-fee assessments, and should ask for the current bylaws and any pending assessment information before signing up.

Overall, great place for those with kids. The place is very family oriented and seems like everyone who's there knows everyone. Great spot for birthday parties and other holiday celebrations. It's too bad that the marketplace that was within walking distance had that terrible fire accident. People have said that it was a go-to spot whenever they came to the club.
