They specialize in teas so the employees are more like baristas, rather than just whipping up your standard flavors at a place that primarily does food. When I asked the cashier about this while I was ordering, the cashier was thorough in showing me how big the sizes were and the price differences between them. Small seating area with indoor and outdoor seating available. Parking lot is shared with multiple other businesses so if any of them get busy, parking could be a hassle. Pong's is conveniently next to Mr. Roboto's Tokyo Grill, so after you get your chicken hibachi, it's only standard to walk over to Pongs. They have decent boba tea. It's not the worst boba tea I've ever had, but it's not the best either. What I do appreciate is that they'll put as much sugar as you like. I usually complain that boba shops dump the sugar, and they don't do that here unless you want them to. I had the Jasmine boba tea once and it was quite bland, so I recommend the milk-based teas (like Taro) over those. read more

We've gone to this place multiple times and it's always been a hit with the brown sugar milk tea. Today we got the taro tea and I don't know if the milk was expired or what happened, but it did not taste good. My boyfriend decided to drink it because I couldn't, it tasted terrible. I recently moved to Tallahassee and in search of a boba place. I found this place on Yelp with high reviews so I decided to give it a shot. It shares a building with the Japanese food place so if you walk in through the back door, there will be a door to get to the boba place. It doesn't have as many drink options as I expected. I ordered an Oolong Milktea with Boba and my husband got a Taro Milktea with Boba. The Milktea is kinda bland in my opinion, it tasted like half water and half milk and I did taste the soymilk in it so idk if they use soymilk to make the drink or not. If I could give 3.5 stars, I would. I used to frequent Hiro's during the beginning of my college years because it was near my old apartment and they were pretty much the only place that served bubble tea. All these years later, my opinion remains the same. Their frozen yogurt options are fantastic and always have been, but the bubble tea is just not quite my cup of.. Well, tea. The sweetness and flavor has always been hit or miss and the boba is always inconsistent in texture when I order. I might be insanely particular about how I like my boba cooked, but I'm just truly not a fan of how Hiro's does it. The service has always been good. I used to live within a five minute drive of four STELLAR Boba Tea shops, so I was very excited to try one of the only places in Tallahassee to get Boba. After driving through the typical Tennessee St madness, not to mention this location's particularly awful placement, I went in still hopeful. I went to order a simple milk tea with boba, but missed the unnecessarily complicated menus (because they're across from the register. She took her time explaining the drinks, sizes, etc. My son ordered a vanilla boba with milk, strawberry mochi ice cream, and honey/vanilla macaroons. I ordered a taro boba and milk and the honey/lavender macaroon. We were both blown away with the how flavorful the macaroons were and how creamy and delicious our boba drinks were.
