I have tried other groomers with terrible results. Not so with Alice the owner. Chip is always clean, and beautifully trimmed. His nails are done nicely. He is well treated and loves Alice. I can tell because he likes to be held by her. I highly recommend this business. This is a very transparent business. You can see the dogs being groomed. At other places, you are not allowed to see your dog being groomed. And they have the dogs in the back behind closed doors. At Marda Loop doggie day care, the door is wide open in the front. I can see everything being done to Chip. The best testament is that Chip walks in and allows Alice to hold him. I have tried on a few occasions the day care and Chip always walked in. They don't provide any real report about your dog's wellbeing just generic words, "she's doing great," which was clearly unbelievably false. The kennels are worse than shelters. The condition of this place merits a free stay, not the absurd fee they charge. It's overpacked with dogs, nonstop barking, and clear signs of stress everywhere. Their so-called "privacy suite" is a flat-out lie. They do NOT follow your dog's needs. They claim each kennel has an outdoor run, They have to manually open it, so their statement that dogs can go out anytime is completely false. I told them my dog is a rescue with a history of neglect and abandonment, and I trusted them to keep her safe and supported. Instead, I picked her up in distress , injured, bleeding, and with her voice completely gone from what must have been nonstop barking and crying. EVEN THOUGH I PROVIDED THEM WITH HER SEDATIVES. She had made so much progress, and this experience set her back in every way. Blood was all over my car and the dog wash station from her injuries. It's heartbreaking and infuriating. The shelter she came from took better care of her than this place. I can't understand how businesses like this are allowed to keep operating. How do they sleep at night. Shame on you. PS: I suggest you concern yourself less with reviews and more with the wellbeing of the dogs under your care. At the very least, stop hiring low quality staff.

I didn't have a friend/family network in the area to help with my animals when I went out of town AND my dog Cooper was fear aggressive so it made it just that much more nerve wracking to leave him with someone. After two failed attempts at a dog sitter via a app based service (2 no shows for meet and greets!) I no longer had confidence in trusting a stranger found by an app to come into my home and car for my pets. I searched for kennels and found High Tails - LIFE CHANGING! From the first phone call to the last visit every experience was outstanding. Cooper loved it so much that when i would pick him up he would not want to get in the car. He was a different dog after his time at High Tails. It was a confidence booster for him and a relief for me. He became much less fearful even outside his stays. Saul, the cat was a little more subtle in his excitement - but he seems happy and content every time I picked him up after a stay. I believe we had about 4 stays at High Tails. One at Christmas time that I booked with less than 2 weeks notice and they were able to accommodate at the last minute. We moved back to St. Louis, Missouri about two weeks after their last stay at High Tails and I can say I was genuinely sad to no longer have the option to bring my pets to this amazing facility! First, I was told he'll be put in a structure program for free then the week after he is being too much and I should enroll him in their training program for $73 a day. The manager I spoke to said if I brought my pup for daycare they'll just keep him in a private kennel the whole day. I think the daycare should have a right to remove disruptive dogs but it's not fair the way they are giving me the choice either expensive training enrollment or get the private kennel. I paid for the daycare package, I should be able to get a refund at least on the remaining unused days. There has been no response to my email request for a refund, that ruined my experience. The daycare itself isn't bad, great hours and camera access, the staff was nice as well. Update: still never received any emails/calls from the manager Jeff that everyone keep directing me to reach but I was able to get a refund by going in person. Lots of respect to the owner Linda reaching out to understand what went wrong and try to fix things.

We are happy that they will feed our dogs their raw diet, keep them together, and even cater to our grouchy shiba inu who likes to start fights - we couldn't ask for more. Each time we are away we get to see our kids playing and having a great time, they come home happy and uninjured, and the price is right. I also like that there are a variety of dogs there and that the owners seem to be breeders of Mini-shelties themselves. Great find, and close for us being out in Bragg Creek.
