Pool & Spa Center has serviced my pool weekly since June 2018. My pool is always clean with perfectly clear water. I have had this pool for 35 years and always had problems keeping the water and the pool itself right. Had the pool drained and resurfaced and turned it over to Pool & Spa Center when the pool was refilled. My problems were over. The pool always looks great. read more

We were in need of a new pump. They came right out and gave a quote and seemed very professional and knowledgeable. They said it would be about 3 weeks to come in. After 6 weeks with no news I contacted them and they said the shipment just came in. We had emptied the pool because of damage from Ida. They came and did the pump before we filled the pool back in with water. They never showed us how to work the pump and I had to constantly leave messages for them to come check it and set up the water. The pool had turned green and was algae ridden again. After the pump wasn't working properly they came to check the pump and put in chemicals that never got our pool to working condition. They never told us what service were done or if the pump was fixed. It has been over 3 months and hundreds of $ and I'm still trying to get it ready for us to use. read more

I used pool and spa to install my ground pool in July 2016. Since then each year my pool light goes out and my pool tiles/pavers are sinking in small areas surrounding the pool. The first and second year Lonnie the owner would send someone out to repair these issues. However in 2019 he has not and it's like pulling teeth trying to get him to respond to me about the repair work. We aren't from Louisiana, so when Lonnie tells us it's normal for the pavers to sink and you just need to pay to get them repaired I believed him. Also, we never had a pool before, so when he tells me that I must turn on the light each day for 15/20 minutes to prevent the light from going out, I believe him. However, when we go on vacation and returns the light doesn't work.I have been trying to get Lonnie to send someone out to repair these items since April 2019; I've called and emailed him weekly, then monthly and he refuses to respond to me. I don't know what else to do but write this poor review. However. my pool pump experience an issue in 202O and he sent someone out that day to repair/fix the issue and we greatly appreciated. I feel I'm a good loyal customer to Pool and Spa Center. I continue to use his weekly cleaning services and I pay on time each month. I don't understand why these issues continue to occur each year. The pool pavers sinking in, in the same area and the pool light continues to go out within 3/4 months after it's replaced. I'm puzzled why Lonnie will not respond to me at least to tell me something. I must mention He replied the first time we reached out saying he will send someone out within two weeks and that two weeks has turned into never / 2 years later still waiting. Lonnie, can you please send someone out to properly repair these items so these issues will not continue to occur each year? If anyone knows of a Good pool service company that can help us properly get these items repaired I welcome your help??? read more

I have been a patron of Clearwater on veterans for many years. I don't like to go to Billot's on lapalco because he has crazy chemicals with ridiculous names. When I discovered this place on the westbank I was more than excited. I walked in and it felt right, I saw chemicals with normal names, I saw beautiful spa display, collections of vacuums, parts, toys. I was in heaven. I proudly brought the bottle of beautiful water I had just taken from my crystal clear pool sample up to the counter, they tested it and began giving me a run down of what I needed. I dropped almost $100 without batting an eye, I know chemicals are expensive but it was the end of May, and I needed them. I returned home with my chemicals, eager to start the summer off right. Unfortunately here, like my pool water, the story takes a turn for the dark side. I began putting my chemicals in, following their instructions which were questionable but I thought hey, they're experts! Looking back, the first red flag was when they told me there was no proper order or time frame in which to put the chemicals into the pool. This baffled me, I had always followed a specified order and always had to wait at least a few hours between adding each chemical, but I was young and naive back then, and these people were going to take care of me. Such faith, such blind faith. So, I started adding chemicals to the pool. One of them, per their instructions, was to be first mixed in a separate container and then poured into the water. As I did this it started to get warm. I continued to mix, assuring myself it was just the summer heat. And then it quickly went from warm, to hot. And then so hot that I couldn't touch the bucket for more than a few seconds. I quickly ran it to the pool and dumped it all into the water. Confusion and fear swirling my mind like a tornado. Once the bucket cooled down I started reading it. In huge red letters it said, "caution: do not dilute in water! Chemical mixed with water heats! Add directly to pool!" I was once again questioning the instructions these "experts" gave me, but I decided I had accidentally misunderstood and did exactly what they told me not to do. After 24 hours I decided to vacuum. Terrible idea. Whatever was on the bottom began to mix, and within an hour the entire pool was green. The rains came and for about two weeks I couldn't do anything to it, knowing whatever I did would be undone within an hour. It rained for almost two weeks straight, parts of the city flooded, my street flooded and my pool was disgusting and overflowing. I decided to drain it. It's not very large and the amount of money, time and effort I'd spend on chemicals to fix it would be equivalent to the water bill and start up chemicals. So I drained it, cleaned the pump, scrubbed the sides, rinsed it as best I could, and began refilling it. The next day I brought a water sample back to the little heaven on earth I was sure this place was. It. Got. Worse. Way worse. They gave me the chemicals I needed, another $100, more questions about the entire process swirled in my mind but I left again assured I was in the right hands. My beautiful clear pool with its slight green tint did not clear up, it did not turn green, it did something I have never in my life witnessed. As I added the chemicals into the pool the water became cloudy, and then white. White as milk. I couldn't make heads or tails of it. I've lived my entire life with a swimming pool and I have never seen this. I let it sit for days with the pump running. I sure as heck wasn't going back to them now! I knew it was their fault! I knew they were more clueless than I was! I couldn't take it to Clearwater, pride is a dangerous thing sometimes. No, I just let it run, changing the cartridge filter almost every day. About a week went by and one morning it was clear again. Randomly. Clear. Out of nowhere. However, the amount of chemicals I was instructed to add had eaten away at the liner. The liner was garbage at this point. Of course, time waits for no man, it was late July, I had gotten in it only a handful of times, spent hundreds of dollars and with school starting up again, wouldn't be able to use it as much. So now, I have a large mud hole in my yard and a destroyed pool liner at the curb, patiently waiting for trash day. To say this place is the absolute worst decision for pool guidance is an understatement! tl;dr THIS PLACE SUCKS!!! DO NOT LET THEM ANYWHERE NEAR YOUR POOL!!!!! read more

Horrible customer service! Walked in and asked the girl behind the counter if they had any above ground pool set up so I can see them...her response was "do you see one". Thought that was a very odd and rude response so I asked to speak with the owner/manager and his response was "she was probably joking"...Gotcha! NO SALE!!! Not very smart !! read more

I occasionally purchase salt and shock from P&S Center of NO. My Dolphin pool cleaner began to malfunction (gear problem) and the manufacturer recommended P&S to service the unit, as they are an authorized dealer. I brought the cleaner in at the beginning of May. After 2 weeks I called them and was told they were still troubleshooting it. After 1 more week I called and was told that they ordered parts and should have the unit running in a week. After another week of waiting I called again and was told the parts were in and the technician was going to install them and get the unit fixed. After another week I went into the shop and was told that the the unit was not running correctly and that the Dolphin Rep Tech was going to be coming into P&S the following week to look at it. I waited another week and when I called they told me that the unit would be ready soon. My last call was Saturday, June 9, 2018 at which time they immediately said my cleaner was ready and I could pick it up anytime. Yahoooooooo, after 6 weeks I will finally be able to get my pool really cleaned up. Well I picked up my Dolphin on Wednesday, June 13 and doubled checked with the two ladies who were working there that the cleaner was actually working and they assured me it was. On Wednesday evening I set up the cleaner in my pool and turned it on and......you guessed it, nothing worked. It had the EXACT same gear problem and it was malfunctioning the same as when I dropped it off. THEY DID ABSOLUTELY NOTHING in the six weeks they had the unit. I am not even going to bother calling Lonnie or anyone else at P&S but rather I am going to call the Dolphin manufacturer and let them know that this authorized dealer is unethical and dishonest. I read the bad reviews about P&S on YELP and ignored them. Stay away from this establishment. read more
