Robert from Pool Peeps was a Lifesaver. We needed a part due to a leak in our valve. We went to another pool store and they didn't have the part. I met Robert at the pool store and he offered to give me the part at no cost. I insisted on paying, so Robert sold me the part so I could install it myself. He could have insisted that I hire him to install the part, but instead he sold me the part even though he would lose out on making money on the installation. Pool Peeps was to change the sand in my sand filter. They came out and not only broke the tool to unthread the top, but they had to cut & destroy the part & I got to but the new $200 part! Once they received the part it was installed, but they broke the replacement tool! No problem he tells me "I will bring you a replacement". Yea right, nothing but crickets and no replacement tool. I told him the filter was leaking and he has totally disappeared now. No return calls or text. I have no faith or confidence in Pool Peeps.....and so much for "my word is my bond". Pool Peeps word lasts as long as you see his taillights going down the road. I recommend you call another pool company for any pool equipment repairs. Not as great as everyone thinks! Pool Peeps re-plastered my pool in early 2018 and both parties acknowledged that the work was not satisfactory and that it needed to be redone. I have emails reflecting that and I went along with them to follow their procedures to make an insurance claim. As part of those procedures, they asked to drain and re-acid wash the pool, which I agreed to with the mutual understanding with Mags that if the plaster was not fixed that re-plastering or getting my money back to have someone else re-plaster the pool was still an option. After the acid wash, the plaster still has bad modeling issues and also now someone has used spray paint to cover up certain areas of the plaster. Looks horrible! I went back to Pool Peeps to request either a re-plaster or my money back and they said that they have done all that they will do and if I want my pool re-plastered that I will need to pay for it again. Original cost was $9160.66. I thought Pool Peeps was a reputable business, but I guess they really don't stand behind their work. Buyer beware!! read more
