"They are truly excellent!"- Mom For my mom to say that, that's something! This place does not rip you off for every knick knack and every question you ask. If we have a question about our pool, they don't tell us they will come out and look at it, they tell us what to do over the phone WITHOUT charging us! They have exceptional service and great customer care, and when our pool was doing weird things this summer and other pool places didn't fix the problem. Pool Pro told us what to do over the phone in 5 min and then checked back on us a week later! When we had a few issues and they came out to fix it, they charged us a very very reasonable price. Also when one of our parts broke, I took it in expecting to have to come back the next day like other pool places, they guy at the register took it and fixed the part in 10min and only charged for the part! Extremely rude office manager. They charged $700 for opening the pool but when they left I there was a leak around the pump housing which I didn't have before. Note that the same company closed the pool. They charged an an additional $135 to fix the leak they caused -- Unbelievable , so essentially opening a pool cost $835 read more

Called to report water spraying from a pipe near the pump and bubbles shooting from the jets. She told me thanks for calling, we'll send someone out but I don't know when? Really? So I turned the pool off. It's been 3 days no one has come? Is this the norm? UPDATED: so the owner called me to explain how busy they are and basically that I don't matter. If you're so busy maybe you need to hire more techs? He just wanted me to take down my review but when you give me attitude over the phone I'm going to take my business elsewhere. Pool Pro to the rescue again! We've been customers of Pool Pro for about 20 years and the service has been outstanding. Not only do they maintain our pool, but they maintain our pool equipment which, as any pool owner knows, will have problems. From pumps going out to parts of the pool sweeper falling off to storms that dump tons of leaves into the pool, Pool Pro is always there to get things back in order. After 4 years of service I cancelled my service because my pool had some copper stains and you were blaming the stones around the pool. Well your guy wasn't putting proper chemicals and after you recommended re plastering the pool for some crazy price all it really needed was about $70 in chemicals. I recommend anyone else to take there business elsewhere. One application of "the blue stuff" and Leslie's stain remover and the stains were completely gone overnight. read more

Pool Pro re plastered this pool mid 2014. Within one year, we had cracks in the plaster. Within 1 and a half years, we had a two foot hole in the plaster, exposing the gunite. Shortly thereafter, many more holes appeared in the plaster, with more cracks than we can count. Pictured is their patch work. We had these guys for a little over a year. Everything was ok until we asked that the maintenance guy brush and sweep the pool every time they come out...even offered to pay extra. Never happened! We have an older pool but it's still maintainable, you just have to brush the plaster weekly to keep it clean, especially during the summer and they was too lazy to do that. The guy would literally only spend about 20 mins working on my pool. Ultimately the owner got tired of us calling and complaining and decided to cut ties with us! Said he was loosing money by having us as customers! He was very rude over the phone till the point that my husband just decided to go up there and speak face to face. Going back to our previous maintenance people. Originally left because the price was too high, but now I see...you get what you pay for! read more

Quoted some pool equipment repair work. Called my cell phone, but could not reach me because I was in a meeting. An hour later when I called back, said they went ahead and did the work. I had two other quotes, and E Pool Pro was 75% higher than the other two quotes. Charged me $40+ for filters that were under $15 each (cost). In addition to the exorbitant overcharge on materials, overcharged on labor and some b.s. fuel service fee of $10. A total scam. Avoid these people. read more

Had them give me quote to fix my pool for a bad valve that was suppose to cost less than $100.00 dollars. These crooks billed me for $600.00 and did not even ask if I wanted it done, You will be better off using Leslie's pool supply. They are up front and freindly. Buyer beware!! read more

Do NOT use this company. I've never done a review before but felt I should to help others. I wish I had read more reviews. I had my pool replastered last summer. They were quick to do the job once they had my down payment and even quicker to charge the balance on my credit card before asking me if I was satisfied. I WAS NOT. First of all, they cleaned all their equipment on the grass behind my garage and basically turned the area into a sidewalk. It took me several days and a lot of water pressure to brake up and wash the concrete from my grass. I could have lived with that but then I noticed what looked like black skid marks throughout my new plaster. I called and emailed John, he said the work was guaranteed and he'd take care of it. Never heard from him again, even after several more follow up emails and phone calls from me. I no longer own the home and pool but wanted to get my story out there. read more

I always purchased my pool supplies from Pool Pro in Missouri City for the 4 years we were residents. Even though they would never call back when something was ordered, the owner's daughter was always polite & since it was convenient, I remained a customer. We went to them for a maintenance/service plan when we had to relocate out of state & put our home up for sale. There was an issue with the pump that wasn't caught for 2 weeks causing the pool to get in a horrible state in the heat of the TX summer. After getting the situation resolved, the next month the maintenance person left the water running for over 24 hours and caused the yard & street to be flooded. The lawn company at a neighbor's home noticed the issue when he saw water pouring into the street from our home. When I asked to collect for the outrageous water bill due to their error, the owner repeatedly raised his voice and talked to me in a disrespectful manner. I wouldn't suggest them to anyone if he thinks it's acceptable to talk to a customer who was always timely with payments, etc. in such a manner. read more

Horrible experience. Scheduled an appt to have them give us a second opinion on what needed to be done with our pool plaster, was never told at time of appt scheduling or when the owner was out here that there would be a charge. A week later we received a bill in the mail for $108 for meeting. When I called to ask why we were charged and not advised in advance at appt scheduling he got very rude, argued with me, told me just not to pay it and then hung up on me. We are still receiving bills from them. Quite the shame because we were going to hire them to do the work and hire them for monthly pool maintenance. $1200+ in annual revenue he could have attained all over a $100 evaluation of what needed to be done. This company and its owner, John, as well as their receptionist Jeanne, are horrible! The owner is rude and combative and could use training in how a business owner should speak to a customer. Jeanne has no business dealing with any customers because everything turns into an argument. I have a screened in pool and I have paid this company approximately $180/month to clean my pool. There are no leaves in the pool, no landscaping around the pool, and not a whole lot to do other than check the PH level. John has a nasty attitude, is very combative, doesn't appreciate his customers, and should not be in business. read more

We have had our pool service with Pool Pro for several years. We have broken pool tiles and I have tried to get someone to come out to give me a quote for two weeks. The owner was supposed to come out yesterday, he didn't show. I called this morning and was promised he would call me as soon as we was out of a meeting. I called back around 2:30pm at which time I was told "we are too busy this time of year." I said well someone could have told me that 2 weeks ago and I could have found someone else. The OWNER OF THE COMPANY YELLED AT ME AND HUNG UP ON ME. TWICE. When I was being yelled at the first time I tried to remind him that as his customer I pay him and he shouldn't be so rude which is when he hung up on me. I will be taking my business elsewhere and have never in my LIFE been treated so rudely as a loyal, paying customer. Truly offensive. read more

Whatever happened to customer loyalty? I used the pool service for the past few years only to discover that they were significantly overcharging me and some of the repairs were questionable. I gave them my debit card number for convenience paying my monthly invoice for pool cleaning but they would make significant repairs and would CHARGE MY CARD THE SAME DAY! Like other reviews I have read, the owner John is very rude and if he does not want to answer your questions or hear your concerns will simply yell at you and then hang up the phone. There are many good pool companies out there. Stay away from this one. read more
