This company seems to want to do better but after several complaints and requesting a change in service to a different rep, they still did nothing, When he would leave my home on Wednesday, by Thursday morning it was dirty and had algae already forming. I had another service come out and found NO chlorine at all in my pool. I had mentioned this also to my service rep for 2/3 weeks. For the price I was paying they owe me a refund for 2 months. I had to brush down the pool daily for the last 3 weeks, was NOT my job, that is what I was paying them to do. The repairman (I believe his name is Steve), however, is wonderful (give that man a raise). But its a shame he is their only employee who works on pumps, etc. So when you need service, you will have to wait up to a week for him to be able to service the pool. That leads to many more issues if not corrected timely. I would not recommend this company read more

Pool Troopers did not (again) empty my baskets into the garbage can. They also left the leaves they took out of the pool, on the deck. This means with the slightest wind, those same leaves will be back in the pool. read more

The guys, Ross and Steve, who are repairing the pool after the prior company let it go for five weeks are patient and effective, the pool is blue and looks good. Pool lights are still not working. Hopefully the problems have come to an end. read more

Just an FYI for anyone looking for a pool company. We've had Pool Troopers for a while and have so many issues from not brushing the pool and leaving obvious visible algae, sitting in their truck not servicing the pool, taking a picture of the pool stating service was completed only to find it wasn't, and the list goes on and on. I do not recommend them AT ALL. In fact I just stopped my service with them as they are untrustworthy but want their money every month. I paid $172/month for this type of customer service is completely unacceptable. Supervisors are not any better if they even come out after a complaint. To Pool Troopers: Your response is bogus. You have not asked me to repair anything. In any event your deflection from people stealing money out of my pocket by stating a service was completed when it wasn't is not even addressed in your reply. How much money have you kept of mine for a service you didn't complete and I didn't notice? I e also noticed your reply's are always the same! Blaming the pool owner for your incompetence isn't an award winning strategy. read more

Pool Troopers is a scam. We spent months with a green pool after they failed to keep it clean. They kept making excuses and taking my money. I finally cancelled and 4 months later I am receiving these BS charged from them. Never do business with Pool Troopers they will scam you for money and you will have a green pool all summer. read more

We've been customers for 1 year. We've had some issues with broken equipment, which they have handled well. But - the quality in service technicians have gone from good to mediocre to downright abysmal. Today the guy showed up just to take a picture. My office is right beside the pool, so I saw him come, take a picture and leave. I know the prices are low, but I'd rather pay more and not having to worry about if I'm being ripped off. I think their business model is volume, and they've reached a point where there's not time to do a good job at every client's home. We'll find someone else. read more

Would not recommend this pool company to my worst enemy! Do not use this company unless you enjoy being charged for services that you were told you would not be charged for ("first filter cleaning for free" = we don't pay attention to notes in your account and we will charge you anyways and then give you weeks worth of run around about giving you your money back). When Pool Troopers started service on our pool our "CYA" was "slightly elevated" so we were advised to run a hose in the pool for 8+ hours because "CYA floats on the top and will run out", we did as advised and we were told a few days later that the levels were "good". A week or so later our pool was very green, contacted them to come out to be told that we then had regular algae and mustard algae and that the pool would need to be treated and shocked. They came out 3 days in a row and "treated the pool". We were the told that we still could not use our pool as the chlorine was too high and they would be out a few days later to check. Meanwhile, our "regular weekly cleaning guy" comes along and adds more chlorine to the pool in tablet and pellet form. So we contacted the manager again and was advised "just turn the chlorinator off and that he would be bye in a few days to check the levels" so we did. The manager comes by and now tells us that our "CYA is way too high" and we are now advised to drain half of our pool. I tried to cancel their service about 2 weeks after starting service, when the algae problem started, and they begged me to stay that they would "get everything back to normal and the pool back to where we could actually use it". That they would refund the $100+ they "accidentally" charged for what was supposed to be a free first filter cleaning and that they would refund the $170+ for the month of messing our pool us so bad. We have been contacting them EVERY day to see why the refunds have not been sent only to get the run around of "that's the home office dropping the ball" and then the home office stating "we have to talk to the manager about that". I have asked to speak to and executive for 2 days in a row only to be told "someone will contact you later today" with no call back. The weekly cleaning guy supposedly "has very little experience and they are trying to replace him" is what we were told multiple times, so the "managers" have to come behind him to try and fix his mess-ups. This company has zero knowledge about chemistry and creates more problems trying to "fix" a problem they created. STAY AWAY from this company and don't waste your money! We haven't been able to use our pool for 3+ weeks, we have contacted our bank to mark their charges as fraud because they refuse to give our money back and we have to pay another pool company to come in a fix all of the issues Pool Troopers created! read more

After going thru several different pool maintenance companies, I was SO happy to have found Pool Troopers. From day 1, they have been professional, helpful and friendly. The other companies were never able to keep the algae from forming in my pool. I was duped for so many "treatments" and washes for the algae they couldn't control and it never worked. Ever since Pool Troopers took over and converted my pool to salt, I haven't had a single issue. I'd give them 10 stars if it was an option! read more

If you have a pool I beg you not to use this company. We trusted them and let them take off our current salt system to install their salt system. Their salt system ended up breaking and for over a month we did not have a working salt system. I called many times each week and asked each time to speak with a supervisor, nobody would ever return my calls so we had no choice but to cancel our service with them due to them providing equipment that doesn't work and the manager clearly being too busy to return my call. Please, do not use this company if you care about your pool. My pool was filthy and had algae under their care. Absolutely unacceptable. I also watched our cameras and the majority of the time they did not even clean our spa- very lazy workers, unprofessional and careless. read more

It didn't bother me that you couldn't service my pool... I would like to hear the tape where I said yes to it being an in ground concrete pool.. the gentleman I spoke to at customer service was very nice I have no problems with the job he did.. as for yourself and the "Managers" who want to post blame on me so be it! Not good service at all! First off the customer service agent said that I would get a call from the area "Manager" to set up an appointment for them to look at the pool as I am new to the region and don't have a clue so I wanted some education in general... what I got was a message saying due to the high volume they weren't able to set an appointment and that they could only call an hour before if I wanted to speak with him... also stating he would need permission to enter the property to take a sample of the pool water... that is not what I needed... I returned the call and stated I would be there on that Tuesday he stated he could come out... no return call was made to me... he didn't come instead a different "Manager" and another person in training with him called and said they were in the area and could be there in 15 min... since I was home I agreed... they came in and he introduced him self and laughed at my pool saying that I had a swamp... I said yeah that's why I was calling to get some help... he then looked at the pool and said I've never seen a finish like that what is it.. I told him I didn't know what kind of finish it was but that I knew it was fiberglass... he said that he was from Florida and had never seen a fiberglass pool and not from the area so he couldn't even suggest any one to contact... he said sorry man and they left... didn't try to make a call to any one... pretty much laughed at me and my problem pool and left... this is why I am giving a poor review and it will remain with this portion of the poor review... if I could give 0 stars I would... but I still appreciate the friendly gentleman I spoke to in customer service... so honestly it's not about you not being able to service the pool. read more

I needed a new in-pool light fixture as the old one was not working. I put in a service call in July to have it replaced. The service guy came out and disconnected the electricity to the light and attempted to remove the fixture in the pool but was unable to. He said it was difficult and he wasn't an electrician but he would be back with another guy to help him. That was last year. I've repeatedly called and they always say we will reschedule it and still nothing. But when my credit card expired they repeatedly called me for payment (go figure). It is now mid March and I still have no light in my pool. Every time they reschedule it, it mysteriously falls off the schedule or is rescheduled. They were scheduled to come yesterday, March 13 and I called today to see WTF happened once again and the guy says it's now scheduled for next Friday. I just want my light fixed. This is crazy!!! I constantly get the runaround. I would be fired if I did my job this way. Now they tell me that I need to call an electrician. Couldn't you have told me that last summer when I asked you initially after you looked at it? My pool guy Ryan is excellent and he is the only reason I stay with Pool Troopers. i do like the salt water system as it has saved me tons on supplies and chemicals, but if this is what "good service" looks like, I am not a fan. read more
