I had a problem with my order, the same order I pretty much get every time I call. My order was wrong, a hour late and cold. I placed a call and when I got an answer I was told that he would call me back. I later received a texted that I need to call the restaurant to take care of the issue with my order. When I respond as to why would I be calling the restaurant, I never received a reply back. I then placed a call to the restaurant to see what the issue as to why I needed to call them and I was informed that they could not fix my order and wouldn't be able to address it until Monday. But they would contact the owner and call me back. I received a call back from the restaurant who informed me the order was double checked and sent out on time that it would be on Pooler Takeout who is not returning their call. read more

I have used Pooler Takeout dozens of times to have food delivered to my office. I recently had a bad experience with food that was delivered and emailed them with a photo for a refund, as all payments go through their system. I have NEVER had a worse customer service experience than I just experienced. Please see below: After not hearing back from them for 2 days, I called this morning to follow up. The man who answered the phone immediately responded to my issue with "you know we just deliver your food, right?" I explained that the payment was made through them, so would be refunded through them. His response was to criticize me for having emailed them, versus calling, suggest that I handle it differently next time. After I suggested that they make it clearer on the site how to handle these situations he snapped, raised his voice at me, told me he was very busy, would add a credit to my account, and hung up. Too bad I'll never be using that credit, as I will never support this service again. Very disappointing, but thankfully there are plenty of other delivery options here. read more

Don't waste your time. Order Uber Eats or just go get your food yourself. I will not be ordering from this service again and will definitely tell others that they don't care to hear customer concerns and would rather rush the person off of the phone. *DO NOT USE POOLER TAKEOUT IF YOU WANT TO ACTUALLY HAVE FOOD DELIVERED OR IF YOU EXPECT GOOD CUSTOMER SERVICE ** I place an order with Pooler TakeouI and I get an email saying that my order is confirmed and because I am a new customer I am required to call them for verification. I thought it was a little weird that I put in an order online and instead if them calling me to confirm my new account I had to call them. Never the less, I did. I got their VM and I left a message saying I was calling to confirm my account. I got busy working and I see the time is 12:40PM. They were late. So I call to find out the status. The employee tries to say I didn't order anything. I read my email confirmation to her. She then says I didnt call to confirm my account. I said yes I did and I left a voicemail. She finally decides to take the initiative to look and sees what I say to be true. She says they can process the order but will be at least 30 minutes. Folks had to leave by 1pm. I cancel the order. We take a photo of an empty plate acting like we are eating and posted it on their FB, (They say in their email to post a photo of the food, so we did....which was nothing so an empty plate got posted). The manager calls me and asks the same questions AGAIN and I tell him my email confirmation and how I left a VM. All he says is "Well I hope your the rest of your Saturday is good. He THEN posts under my photo that I didnt order anything. So...since this is the third time they try to cover up their mistake instead of owning it. I reply with a photo of my email confirmation. Then he comments saying that I told him I didnt confirm my account so instead of arguing and bcuz this is another blatant LIE I posted a photo of my call logs. 1. Why should a customer CALL you to verify the phone number I put in the order? Wouldnt it br better customer service for them to call me? Obviously they need a course in how to give customer service. 2. Instead of investigating my complaint, both the employee and the store manager tried to make it out to be my error and not theirs and THEN tried again on FB. So they LIE and BLAME people instead if saying, "You are right. We made a mistake. So sorry " 3. Then they delete the post and comments that show that they didnt deliver and tried to lie about it 3 times. Guess they didnt like the fact that i busted them lying on Social Media. One star is too high of a score. They dont even deserve that! read more

On their website it states "If you don't see your zip code as an option when ordering online, call our office and we will take care of you." WELL Pooler Take Out that's a big fat lie! I live right outside Pooler city limits and my address was not listed. I called, I quoted your website and was informed that no you cannot deliver to me, you are not able to take care of me and you won't add my address into the system! THANKS. I absolutely love ordering from Pooler Takeout. It's a great option if you don't feel like cooking dinner or can't get to the store. They will go to many of the Pooler eateries- Tijuana Flats, McAlisters Deli, Naan Appetit (great Indian food), Miwa sushi, even Molly MacPhersons and more. There is a delivery fee then you add gratuity. However it's definitely worth it if you want a nice takeout dinner for two. The drivers are great and have arrived almost exactly on the estimated arrival time. You always get update emails for when your driver left and when they're at the restaurant. I always order online and the food that arrives at my door is always exactly what I've ordered! I'll continue to use Pooler Takeout because of its great service. The places that offer in house delivery in Pooler are very limited and in my opinion, not great. But Pooler Takeout makes it possible to order delivery from some of Pooler's best restaurants! read more

I used to love Pooler Takeout until it was taken over by Delivery.com. I have had multiple problems, and I am done dealing with them. They are consistently much later than the latest estimated time, my orders have been wrong, and they have even failed to receive and fulfill my order entirely while telling me my order was being prepared, on its way, and then delivered. I had no idea what was going on until I contacted customer service 1.5 hrs after I had ordered. I will not be using them again. read more

Recently discovered this delivery service. Great! I've always had multiple problems with delivery in Pooler. Even from the Pizza companies. After a recent horrible experience with said pizza company, and having to cancel my order after 2 hrs of waiting for a pizza, I finally had to find some other method of food delivery. I was leery about using another food delivery service after the horrible experience I've had with other companies, but was desperate. The experience was great! Great communication via email with me. They called me when driver got to the restaurant, sent me email when driver left and arrived at my door shortly after. Ordered them several more times already! Each time, great! I will continue to use them. Great thing is that I can order from multiple restaurants at once. I wish they will add more restaurants! read more

This used to be a good service. It sucks now. Orders are always messed up. Same excuse, "we cannot open the bags to verify the order". If something is missing, you have to call Pooler Takeout and then wait another hour for food. If you call them and complain, the answer is "we are just a delivery service. If you have problems with your order, then call the restaurant". I'm paying you to pick up my whole order, it is your responsibility to ensure the order is complete and correct, not mine as the customer. How about you make the restaurant wait to bag the order until the driver gets there to ensure correctness. read more

I have used this service twice, the first time I ordered bbq and received not one bit of bbq sauce with my order, which is also the restaurant's fault. The second time, the ordered arrived 12 minutes before expected, everything was warm and delicious. The service is convenient and you pay for that. I have not looked into all the restaurants' menus, but I know for sure the prices change, for example one item I ordered went from $16.99 if ordered and picked up directly from the restaurant, to $20.40 if Pooler takeout delivers. They already charge a delivery fee and mileage, and you add your tip; there should be no reason for the menu items to have increased prices through their website. read more

Just not impressed with this delivery service. They do not check the orders for price accuracy or do they know what's being delivered. And there is definitely no dress code for drivers. Just deal directly with the restaurant. It's cheaper and much more accurate. read more

Ordered food from Phoenix Chinese.... Not sure that the sweet and sour chicken isn't really RAT. When I called to complain that none of the 3 orders could be eaten the woman on the phone IMMEDIATELY started screaming that there were no refunds. NEVER EVER order from this place!!! Ordered from them for years now. Food always comes in a reasonable, if not, really fast time. The one time we had an issue, it was corrected, and that was several years ago. Thank goodness for Pooler Take Out! They are always there when I need a sweet treat or if I'm feeding a bunch of people. They will deliver from multiple restaurants all in one order. If there's ever an issue, they will call to resolve it. I also love that they email you when the driver is headed your way!My only issue is there hrs on Sunday. They don't start delivering until 2pm and their app shows you can't order until Monday...this is incorrect. They do have the pre-order option, but I had an issue this past weekend doing that. It scheduled my delivery for Monday when I really wanted it when they opened that Sunday. I've had to delete their app and will wait to order when they open from now on. There delivery and fuel rates can sneak up on you, but that's the price you pay to order from anywhere in Pooler...you don't have to settle for chain food delivery. read more

I only gave them 2 stars because noone else delivers where I live. On several occasions we have used this service, and even if there is a mistake with the order you cant get anyone to answer the phone. The drivers are not allowed to check the order to see if it is correct, and if it is incorrect noone can be contacted to correct it. My wife drove to the restaurant which defeats the purpose of paying for delivery. The establishment had told a driver for Pooler Takeout about the problem, and they shrugged it off. Everyone, think really hard before ordering via this service. Think about how you have to come to Yelp to leave a review because they have it setup where you cannot do so on Facebook or Google. I wonder why? Cause they steal your money. My food was delivered incorrectly and they said they cannot give a refund only have things that were left off the order be delivered. How much sense does that make? So while I wait 30 mins for a sauce to be delivered to eat my sandwich that will be cold by the time it gets here they will not issue a refund. I at least reasonably asked for she turned down everything that I would give back the incorrect food and please remake my damn sandwich since it will be cold while I wait for baked beans and damn bbq sauce to be delivered she says all the can do is deliver the sauce that was left off for my cold nasty ass sandwich. Mind you, EVERYTHING SHOULD HAVE BEEN DELIVERED THE FIRST DAMN TIME, smh. Never again. Please please please pay attention to these bad reviews and question why this is the only method you can use to even leave a review. They too busy trying to hide their mistakes. We always used pooler takeout. Probably two times a week for over a year now. But I will say that 6 times out of 10, our order was wrong. Something was always missing. I finally called and complained about it and the man who answered the phone just said "it is not our fault that it order is wrong. We are not allowed the check the order ourselves." If they were smart maybe they would make the person who made the order actually open up everything and check to make sure everything is there. They will bring you what you are missing from your order, but it will be an hour later. I would not suggest using pooler takeout more than once. read more

Customer service is terrible. If the wrong food gets delivered, they blame the driver and you, while taking no responsibility or steps to fix. You just end up with the wrong food, out the money and a shrug from them. Save yourself the trouble and use grubhub, doordash, ubereats, etc. literally anyone else that actually backs the service they're providing. read more

I like the concept of this service. Rarely do I get food that is hot. The last time I ordered, I received a message that the driver had left the restaurant. I live 10 min from this establishment. 30 minutes later, cold food was delivered to my door. I called the main store to let the lady answering the phone know about this. NOT....ONE...SINGLE...WORD...UTTERED...FROM..HER..MOUTH. Not one. If you like to pay full price for food you have to reheat, then this is the place for you. read more

I have ordered from them several times and usually with good results, but today I ordered from subway and they brought the wrong sandwich. I tried to call and the phone number didn't work so I emailed and no one responded. I guess I'll have to dispute the charge, maybe that will get a response? Our work orders from Pooler Takeout almost everyday, but after our experience yesterday, we will NO LONGER order from them!

This business charges you more for the food (and any upgrade you add onto the food) than the restaurant itself does on top of the other fees it already charges you for fuel and delivery. It also charges you for things like sauces that some restaurants don't even normally charge you for. You could easily be paying $10 extra dollars per $100 dollars spent before they even add on their other fees. This might be okay if they were up front about it but they aren't and I find that dishonesty to be completely unappealing. The drivers get the delivery fee so take that into account when tipping if you still decide to order. Furthermore, the only thing the delivery people do is carry the food from point A to point B. Someone at the restaurant prepares the food and I have a feeling they aren't getting tipped for it. read more

Apparently i didnt give my driver good enough instructions to find me in the airport. She says she tried to call me, i recieved no phone calls. So my 24$ pizza turned into a 40$ bill because she didnt even try to give me my change, she just took off. We've ordered from Pooler Take Out many times. The food that was delivered more often than not was incomplete, incorrect, cold, damaged or raw. For the most part Pooler Take Out did something to make ups for the screw up. Tonight our order arrived with the wrong pizza and cheese bread that had not been cooked (raw dough with browned exterior). Last straw for me! Again, I called and asked for a manager. The man that answered the phone asked what the problem was and then proceeded to make excuses for why the order was messed up. I called Pooler Takeout and the man who answered the phone asked for my address and hung up on me. I called back and he stated that they just deliver the food not make it. Excuse me!!! I asked for a refund and he offered to replace the food (wait another 40 mins to eat). I simply stated that I wanted a refund and he said "We're charging you for the food" and hung up. I like the concept. But was only able to order from them once, then they suddenly stopped delivering to me. Which is crazy because one of the restaurants is 7 minutes from my house. and its been a year later and they have yet to develop the ability to drive the 7 minutes. Have had positive experiences with this service in the past...however I've been recently disappointed. I had placed an order to a local restaurant and had it directed to my sisters apartment in Pooler. She lives on the second floor and has young children in the house, so it's convenient when she's able to have delivery. The driver got to her residence and called her number, she told her she would leave her food in the parking lot and my sister could come down and get it! I found this unacceptable. I'll be informing the restaurant of our experience and suggesting they look into their decision to contract with them. I run a service business myself, and would not expect to have any satisfied customers if I didn't complete a job I had promised. (I regularly get business from those who have made that mistake!) It's likely this review will not be posted, I encourage everyone to notify the restaurants and takeout owners if this happens to you. One bad delivery driver can ruin an otherwise excellent community service. read more
