I am very disappointed in the service I received at Olde Towne Urgent Care under the care of Dr. Rasha Saleem a few years ago. The communication and follow-up were consistently poor, and the lack of cleanliness in the urgent care center was concerning. On multiple occasions, I visited first thing in the morning when the center opened, only to find trash left over from the previous day and a restroom that had not been cleaned. Additionally, the office staff repeatedly overcharged me for required return-to-work letters. Each time I called, the process seemed to change depending on who I spoke with, and the cost fluctuated significantly--at one point I was charged over $150 for a simple letter. After weeks of trying to resolve this issue with the front office, Dr. Rasha Saleem eventually got on the phone and yelled at me, which was completely unprofessional and unnecessary. Because of these experiences, I have not returned and hope that no other patients are treated this way in the future. read more

Horrible place. Don't come here, there's nothing urgent about this place. Staff are nice but nobody does anything lol everyone is sitting around waiting. I was extremely late for work because of this place and all I got was 5 minutes with the doctor. I don't recommend coming here, if you have a serious urgent issue. read more

It's definitely not URGENT. I didn't get past the lobby. Woke up with a "urinary issue", came here to get a culture and a Rx. The receptionist was so busy that she didn't address me for 10 minutes (which is fine! It happens!) I was then informed that I had to make an appointment for 9:30, but the doctor wouldn't be in until 9:30-10???? They say they take walk-ins, but they really mean they *schedule* walk-ins and (rightfully) prioritize pre-existing appointments ahead of them. All of this is COMPLETELY fine for a primary care office, but this "urgent care" basically doesn't take walk-ins. Which, to me, doesn't make it an urgent care. read more

I came to this urgent care as a walk in for an acute issue. The staff were friendly. However, I waited an hour in the exam room for the dr to see me. The care quality was very poor. It seemed like the dr didn't really know what she was talking about. Also, she was all over the place and wasn't very focused on what I was saying. I felt as though I wasn't heard. Out of all DMV urgent care and patient first, I was highly surprised with OLDE TOWNE URGENT CARE. ESP, Dr.Saleem. I'm in the health care field as well so I can't help but judge. And I have nothing bad to say about this urgent care. And out of the many many doctors, physicians, & specialists I've seen. Dr.Saleem helped me and didn't just treat me like a "patient". He treated me and explained every question I had in great detail to ease my anxiety and everything I was going through at that time. I never thought I'd find a doctor who was an ACTUAL doctor who sees patients as humans and not just $$. Dr.Saleem honestly helped me in so many ways.... I cannot express how thankful I am that he saw me for me and treated me accordingly to what I was telling him. Instead of trying to push all sorts of unnecessary stuff upon me. Do not use this place as your primary care! If you take any prescriptions, they require you to have an appointment after every refill, and treat their prescriptions like "controlled substances". It's a money grab to get a primary care doctor fee from you each appointment. Their virtual visits are a joke. They will call you at any time over the course of a day, with no way to prepare. Stick to using this place for urgency care and find another place to call your primary care doctor... I know I will. read more

Simply don't go here. I was put in an exam room and left waiting for 2 hrs 15 minutes with no information when I would see a doctor. When the doctor finally came, he told me I should expect to wait that long. There are plenty of urgent care facilities that will provide good care with respect. Go elsewhere. read more

The good: Jackie, the NP, is wonderful - patient, professional, knowledgeable and very kind, even when pressed for time and juggling a multitude of demands. She is the main reason this place gets 2 extra stars. While her diagnosis was ultimately wrong, she did alert me about the necessity of going to the ER the very next day should the symptoms persist. She kept in touch throughout the process and asked about developments, and I was able to consult with her via text even on Christmas day, which was vital. I cannot thank her enough for her availability and kindness! They are lucky to have her! Note: I didn't appreciate the comment made by the first person we saw (before Jackie. He was a short man wearing a Santa hat) when I told him my diagnosis suspicion. He was very nice and kind throughout, but he asked me if I was a doctor or nurse. I can still be an informed patient and not be treated with sarcasm. Incidentally, the diagnosis I had suspected was correct, and I wasted a whole day before the ER confirmed the diagnosis (the next day) and kept the patient for emergency surgery. Maybe next time someone sounds like they know what they're talking about, at least consider the possibility they may be right. The bad: the front desk and billing staff is disorganized and unprofessional. Getting the medical records and the invoice for the visit took several days and multiple communication attempts, including being put on long holds only to call back and be told they hadn't realized I was still on hold (?!), being told someone (when I called billing) would call me back and they never did, and correcting mistakes on the medical records (e.g. patient being listed as male in one place and female in another). The invoice they finally sent was a joke - 2 of the 3 pages listed a different name, the entire thing was an editable Word doc that anyone could have put together (uneditable PDFs, anyone? How about a signature or stamp of the office?), and I am concerned my insurance company might doubt its authenticity, but we'll cross that bridge when we get there. Conclusion: use with caution and only if necessary. read more

Dr.Saleem and Dr.Rasha are amazing physicians and actually super kind people!! they listen very carefully and want to truly help. I feel they go above and beyond; me and my bf have been there 2 weeks back to back because we both caught Strep and although they are "closed" the Dr will still call you to give you results and feedback even after hours (7:51pm) that's so nice that i can get my result, prescriptions and Doctors note all in one afternoon! read more

The doctors are great, very thorough and have a great amount of knowledge. Office staff, not so much. My first visit was as an urgent care patient, and they were great. This is the best urgent care around. My second visit was as a primary and there was a miscommunication; I thought I could walk in for a primary visit, but you are supposed to make an appointment for primary care visits. I did find out that in exigent situations that rule has a bit of flexibility. Again I was impressed with the amount of time the doctor spent with me and the insights and suggestions she shared. I will continue with them as my primary. Note- I was speaking with someone today and did not hesitate to recommend them as a good place to go for a primary care doctor. read more

Although wait time for walk-ins was long (1 hour+) and the front lady seemed annoyed she had to do her job, the 5 stars goes specifically to Dr. Ahmed Saleem. He really listened to me about my symptoms and concerns. Even with my crippling migraine, I felt cared for and in the right hands. He was thorough explaining the medication he was prescribing and provided shots in office for quicker relief. I haven't felt compassion, real care or concern from any doctor - ever - like he showed me. Somebody give this man a raise. read more

Dr. Rasha and Dr. Ahmed Saleem are a lovely, caring couple who are very passionate about treating their patients the right way. I am lucky enough to live directly across the street and stumbled upon this urgent care one day when I had fallen ill. I liked Dr. Rasha so much she agreed to work with me as more of a primary care than an urgent care doctor since my insurance charges a crazy co-pay amount to see an urgent care doctor. That's just how kind she is. Anytime I come see them, they both work with me to figure out the best plan of action and I truly appreciate their concern for my health. The office decor is modern chic and very welcoming. They do not rush through your appointments (which you never need, you can always walk in) and they will always follow up to make sure you are doing better! I would highly recommend them any day! read more

I'm not someone to complain at all, but the experience I had with this urgent care is unfathomable. I brought my infant daughter here for an ear infection, took over two hours to get seen, got a prescription for an antibiotic and were sent on our way. I went to pick up my daughters medicine, wasn't ready...went the next morning, request never received. Called back the urgent care and they said they would get back with me after speaking to pharmacy, never heard back. Called them AGAIN they said oh yes it should be ready we will call back in 15 min...waited and HOURS to hear back and never did. I called them at 5:30 but turns out they closed at 5. Never heard back from them about my medication for my daughter. Do not waste time going here. I would have rather spent 3 hours in an ER and get everything I need than deal with the incompetence of this place. read more

I went in Monday with upper respiratory symptoms and had to stay in the car for my appointment. Which is fine, but it seemed like the staff kept forgetting me. For example, it took 15 minutes just to run my credit card. Before coming in, I was told I would get a virtual appointment from the doctor soon after my visit. But I didn't get a call from 12:30 pm (when I left) until after 7 pm, seemingly only because I left a voicemail at 6 pm following up. The doctor was very friendly on the phone and I liked him a lot. He prescribed 4 medications, including a steroid. After taking them Monday night, I felt much better. But Tuesday night, I had a racing heartbeat, insomnia, extreme stomach pain, and limb pain. These are all potential reactions to the steroid. I slept for 2 hours all night. So I called the office in the morning to ask (1) for an update on my test results, and (2) whether I should keep taking the steroid or other meds I was prescribed. The staff person said she could only give me the results and find out about the meds if I pay another co-pay. I said I'm not paying again, certainly not for test results that I already paid for. She then repeatedly refused to tell me my test results, telling me my Covid test "is complete," another test will take several more days (seems suspicious), and not telling me the result of two other tests. Eventually, she agreed to email me some of the results. I'm pretty sure this conduct is unlawful. It's unfortunate, because I liked the doctor a lot. But I can't recommend going here again with the bad staff and potentially unlawful conduct. Update: they never provided me my general culture test results. They called me a week after the appointment to see if I'll be making a "follow-up appointment" the next day. This was the first time I'd ever even heard about the follow-up appointment. I assume this was some bizarre response to my review, but who knows? read more

Me and my girlfriend arrived at 4:20 and the doors were locked yet on the sign it said walk in available till 4:30 so now we have to go try and find another one before they close so that can receive treatment and this just doesn't sit right with me read more

What does a hypochondriac with a self-diagnosed heart condition (because she's too scared to go to an actual cardiologist for the truth) and a blood pressure reading of 199/141 do when she's in a town she's never ever heard of before? She goes to Olde Towne Urgent Care and has her worries eased. Not gonna lie... I was scares to death when the doctor started looking online for my symptoms and what medicines to prescribe me. I don't recall ever having seen something like that. Maybe their backs have always been facing me or their computers were out of sight. I obviously survived and didn't overdose on anything, but it was quite unnerving to see that. He gave me some good advice and prescribed me a few medicines that would help with my blood pressure and appetite. When I ran out of refills and couldn't go back, I called them and they put in another prescription for me! Told me how to access my blood results, too. By the way, I put my blood pressure monitor on backwards.. is why my at-home reading what so high. Yeah. read more

I don't usually leave reviews, but I felt that Dr. Saleem and her team deserve positive acknowledgment. They all treated me with compassion and kindness when I was experiencing pretty intense pain and discomfort. Dr. Saleem took her time to listen and provided solutions. It's been a very long time since I felt that a health care professional took the time to actually listen. I left the urgent care with happy tears, because I hadn't felt heard for a long time. I just had my very first Urgent Care experience with this facility. I cannot comment on the facility because my visit with Dr. Rasha Saleem was via video chat. Dr. Saleem was excellent. She was patient while I explained my problem and she was kind and understanding. She was able to help me with my current complaint and offered advice should there be a recurrence. At the conclusion she wished me well and continued good health once my current medical issues have resolved. I would not hesitate to return to her and I would highly recommend her to anyone in need of urgent care. read more

I had a great experience in the Old towne urgent care . Dr. Saleem ran all kind of tests to make sure my diagnosis was accurate as it can be, and took her time to explained me and my husband of all the treatment she was conducting at her office and the medicine she was going to prescribe me. At completion of my PCA training for work, each student was required for a TB screening from a list of vendors. As absolutely necessary if you'll be working with people at your patients, I just wish they'd accept a doctor's note rather than getting pricked. Parking isn't easy to find around lunch time as I discovered. Luckily, Victor was well informed and quick to see my needs for my job training. Hands down the best urgent care I have ever been to. Spa like atmosphere, very clean and cozy. I came in late evening, with severe, severe flu symptoms. I left and was feeling 85% better within 2 hours, 90% better by the next morning. Just an overwhelming sense of genuineness and empathy. ONLY urgent care I will ever visit again. read more

Dr Ahmed is the best doctor in the US, Dr Rasha is the best doctor too, this is the best doctor office ever, I live in Maryland since 2007, now I got my best doctors ever. They take care of you and also the nurses and the staff are nice, nurses were trained by the doctors to give a good guidance. I love this clinic and I feel healthy to be with them. I would say that it is totally understandable that the doctor has some knowledge in certain areas. However it is totally unacceptable and Irresponsible to refer patients who you ready know are very healthy and nothing happens after initial screening to profit-linked places just to get commissions! I go to them often. Dr. Rasha Saleem is wonderful! She listens and is more interested finding the cause then just treating symptoms. When she comes in, she makes sure all questions are answered. Dr. Saleem is such a precious, caring soul. Even though this was my first time there, I felt very welcomed. From the warm reception received from inception, to Nurse Practitioner Stephanie's very professional & altruistic mannerism, I was simply blown away. I was well-received, my medical concerns attended to with a very personal touch, and Dr. Saleem ensured I left feeling 100% better than when I first entered the clinic. She & Nurse Stephanie were very thorough, intuitive & just the most amazing team of medical professionals I've encountered in a very long time now. I woke up Thursday morning to an eerie mystery. Coming off the tail end of a cold, a strange rash started to appear in some inconvenient areas. My body felt weirdly chilled and sensitive, mild twinges appearing through a stiff back. Is this how I react to the flu? Perplexed if not yet frightened, I nonetheless figured a visit here would be wise - And I definitely wasn't wrong. I've never seen a doctor so medically fascinated with my sudden bout of shingles, contracted at the ripe old age of 28. A (very excited!) Dr. Rasha figured it out almost instantly and was very reassuring and helpful through my whole visit - Walking me through the diagnosis, the entire course of drugs she'd prescribe, what to expect from them and the sickness over the next few weeks. Though my shoulder blades and sides are starting to burn, I cannot begin to express how grateful I am that they were able to so quickly and thoroughly diagnose and get me into treatment - There's no telling how much worse this could have turned out otherwise. I went to OTUC because it has such good reviews. I was very impressed with the care I received. As soon as I was finished filling out the paperwork I was brought back to an exam room. Rasha and Ahmed Saleem are not only brilliant urgent care but they are fantastic family medical practitioners They are extremely well qualified, well equipped , detailed, thorough and truly care. Our daughter had terrible stomach allergies for years and the Saleems figured it out in one session. You will not find a better family medical and HEALTH care than this. read more
