I just came back from there. Brought both of my dogs here this morning. The young woman at the…read morefront desk asked me how I wanted their hair cut, as the groomer was not around. I described to her what I wanted, and she wrote down notes. But when I got my doodles back, the groomer cut away a lot of the fur away from their faces, which was not what I had asked or described to the young lady at the front desk. She cut away a certain look away from their faces. I would suggest that if you go here, that you speak to the groomer personally as opposed to the person at the front desk. If the groomer has not arrived at the appointment yet, I would recommend waiting until they get there so you can speak to them personally. And also, do not just allow some random groomer to cut their hair if you like your dog's face to look a certain way. Next time I'll make sure to request the groomer there who actually listened to me when I described to her what I wanted. I tipped the groomer favorably, and I was kind to everyone there, but I am a bit disappointed with this visit.

I was having trouble getting him to understand what we wanted. Tim and his team provided personal training and clear instructions for me to continue my dog's training during daily life at home. It has changed our lives! We can take him anywhere dogs are allowed, including off leash dog parks. He responds and listens to us. He basically ignores other dogs now and is able to participate in every part of our lives because he now knows what we expect from him in each situation. I highly recommend Sit Means Sit San Diego.

The lady who checked me in was super condescending and was not friendly at all. I didn't know my dogs didn't have the bordetella vaccine and she was so rude and talking down to me to "educate me" of the risk. I told her I'll go ahead with it as my dog doesn't go to dog parks and she further said "well he's exposed to dogs cause here we have all kinds of dogs" ... Probably should've just left but I wanted my dogs hair groomed. I showed her a picture of what haircut he has had. I wanted one of my dog's haircut in the past and this is what they gave me. They told me they could touch it up within 3 days for free and I asked what they could do and was told it's better I just grow it out. Disappointed that they didn't offer me a solution to how they could fix it and yet they are the "expert" and still charged me full price ... now my dog has a botched haircut. Definitely DO NOT go to them if you have a doodle/poodle. This is poor service and quality. Pictures say it all, you be the judge. We stayed in touch even after puppy graduation and I would text her from time to time to ask questions or stay in touch. I found her on social media and loved her training information. Then when my now 1.5 year old puppy was full grown and became harder to manage we got back in touch and she'd offer suggestions. Finally when she neared the age of 2 I realized I needed professional help Amillie came in and once again explained things even on our first session in a way I could understand and broke down behaviors for me. I actually have 2 giant breed Greater Swiss mountain dogs and she has helped me with training both of them. Mainly frustration reactivity for my younger female "puppy" and then being able to successfully loose leash walk both of them together (2 strong willed and physically strong, with a combined weight of ~200 lb) female dogs. Each time we meet I leave with so much information. She's been great and I only wish we started training them with Amillie when my girls were younger. You won't regret this partnership or Amillie's expertise. Training comes natural to her. It's a gift and that's with me already having had 2 large breed independent dogs before working with her!
