I've actually been wanting to go here for months and a few people have been telling me how great it is. It was pretty much what I expected It looks like a 5/10 and assumed it was going to be a soft 6 but a few things surprised me so its a strong 6. The math works The water. Do not get it. They need a filter or something it was absolutely horrendous The wings. Not bad at all. Not great. Need cooked longer and sauce was good The Reuben. Corned beef was good, not great, tad bit dry and was lacking in the filled department. When I think of a Reuben I think of the ones in grew up loving from the jewish delis in jersey which are packed to the brim. Also on BreadWorks which is always an elite choice The burger. Now that was a pleasant surprise. Cooked well, sauce was good and the pastrami was above average. But "topped" with pastrami means 3-4 pieces it seems Habanero mayo I used for dipping fucking awesome. Sweet potato fries also awesome I wasn't disappointed in this because it's less than a 10min drive for me. I would not drive 15+ minutes for this. Nothing will blow your mind but nothing will disappoint. Just a very slightly above average meal that if you're local to the area will be a good spot Inside I really liked as well. Sat at the bar with my wife and we each decided on a few drinks and some hot wings. The wings were big, well cooked and some great sauces - came in at $18/dozen as well. My wife has the French onion soup which was surprisingly good for a bar and not overly salty. The homemade fries were good but came out cold so they didn't live up to their potential. First my wife likes the chili there and she says it is really good. I like a couple items such as the beef on wack but the au jus doesn't have a whole lot of flavor so I add salt and pepper to it and it's better. The steak sandwich is pretty good in the burgers are good. I typically order wings because they're sauce of hot buffalo is really good but they just don't comprehend do not overcook the wings. If you cook the wings completely the first time the second time you need to undercook it so they are not dry. Listen to me when I tell you do not overcook My Wings. The second time cook them halfway it's simple I am a chef. You're not going to get somebody sick if you've already cooked them fully the first time. I would prefer you to cook the wings to order fresh and it take 15 to 20 minutes to come out to me.9 read more

I thought the wrap was missing something. The bbq sauce was hiding at the end of the wrap. Homemade onion rings were decent. The service was the best part. Everyone was very friendly and attentive. Parking was a tad confusing for someone who's never been here before. It's around the back off Perry Hwy. I'd go again to try other items on their menu. read more

I've been here multiple times - for both take out and dining in. I normally get a buffalo chicken salad. It's so good! The last time I went there, I was in the mood for a burger. I got the blast furnace burger and it was delicious. It was spicy, but not too spicy. The fries were great too. The service is quick and our waitress was friendly. The food is always fresh and delicious, so I'll be back again. I do wish they had better cocktails, but it's a pub, so definitely go for the beer! read more

A Pittsburgh restaurant that serves Buffalo food? Yes please! Beef on weck is a favorite in WNY but is basically impossible to find here in the Burgh. It is a hard roll with seeds and salt filled to the brim with juicy and tasty beef. Their version did not disappoint. They also serve pizza logs. Picture egg roll wrapping stuffed with pepperoni, cheese and marinara then fried. Pure deliciousness. Their wings are a nice size and served with plenty of crisp, blue cheese and celery. (I was seriously surprised how hard it us to find celery and blue cheese as accompaniments to wings). One thing to note is that you enter from the side street and their parking lot is shared with an auto shop so parking can be dicey. Overall I enjoyed my taste of home here in Pittsburgh. read more

I love stumbling on a little gem. My husband came across Poor Richard's because of Breadworks' Instagram feed, so when we found ourselves in the north hills this weekend we thought we'd check it out. This is not fine dining--it's just really tasty, well-prepared made-from-scratch pub fare. My husband had the beef on weck, which was tender, lean, and delicious. I had the Rachel with sweet potato fries; the sandwich was made from house made smoked turkey, apple-fennel slaw, and thousand island. The sandwich was great--plentiful but neatly assembled and not sloppy to eat. The roast beef, smoked turkey, pastrami, and corned beef at Poor Richard's are all made in-house. I really can't wait to go back to this restaurant and bar and try to give it four or five stars. We went here on a Friday night at 9:45, and the kitchen closes at 10. We ordered the daily soup special, the pizza logs, and the grilled chicken quesadilla. All of the food was really good but not great. The bartender and waitresses were all extremely nice. An amazing at their jobs. I cannot wait to go back to try everything at a normal time. I really need to try some of the really good looking sandwiches and sweet potato french fries. read more

Used to come here for trivia nights, back before the change of ownership, but never ordered food. Decided to give it a try today. The food was just okay. My PRP melt tasted like a slightly upscale grilled cheese, and it was also burnt. The fries were decent, but there weren't many of them. My husband had the chipotle cheesesteak, which he said was dry, and the meat wasn't the greatest quality. Tap water also tasted pretty bad. Overall, a mediocre lunch for the price. read more

We live in the area and like to go out to eat on weekends. We decided to go here since we always seem to forget about it when we are trying to decide. We show up tonight with a sign that says "Please Seat Yourself" so we see one empty table and begin to proceed to the table. We get stopped by being yelled at by the "Hostess" that there's a wait. My wife says that the sign said to seat ourselves and apologized for the mix up. The "hostess" doesn't say a word other than to ask for our number. We give it to her and she tells us to wait in the car, slams down her pen, and walks away. I'm a VP in a company and if ANY of my people treated customers that way they'd be fired immediately. Owner/manager I'd have a look at your hostess. The opposite of what a good restaurant would want. We will never go back. Ever. read more

My husband randomly saw an ad for this place on Facebook one day. He's a HUGE brisket fan so the brisket samo obviously caught his eye. He called in for a carry out and it was ready within 15 minutes. He went to pick them up and said the staff there was so nice and said that we HAVE to go eat there soon. Found this place during COVID. They have outdoor seating on front, and added a tent to the back. The food is amazing and fresh. The waiters have been very good. I was very impressed when they opened the back tent for my family on an "off" day that it is typically not open, but we could not eat inside as I had my Mother with us, and she is high risk. Super great attitude. Sandwiches are great quality. Just always ask for extra sauce on the side! 5 stars from me is a big deal. We have been there a handful of times since COVID began and continue to be impressed - by food and by attitude. read more
