With the Cornice flavor features to expect are a light, tart apple flavor with a well balanced sweetness and dryness the Cornice was nothing short of amazing. Once we arrived to White Heron Cellars, the door was locked, but there was sign on the door that said to call when there were visitors. As soon as we called, someone picked up and said he would be right there. Then we heard someone from above the winery in a house yell and wave to us that someone would be helping us soon. It didn't take long for the owner to whip around the corner and let us in the tasting room. He sat behind the bar area and showed us the tasting menu, which featured three whites, a rose and three reds. I wasn't a fan of the whites, as they were on the sweeter side; but it was cool that they use Swiss grapes to make their whites here. The rose was a syrah, which I liked, as it was more dry. The reds were good and out of the bunch, I liked the malbec the best. The space is inviting. There's outdoor seating that looks out to the vineyard, in addition to the indoor seating where you can see different, posters of past events in Switzerland, which is where the owner lived. The owner was the nicest guy, and we stayed longer than expected because we ended up talking about everything from Europe, to the different wineries in the area, to politics! Glad to have checked out White Heron Cellars.

Upon arrival, we were greeted by the super friendly and helpful staff. I can't even stress enough how wonderful everyone was during our visit. They were so full of knowledge, kept us laughing, and kept our wine glasses full. The wine was delightful and the bread and chocolate pairings were just the icing on the cake. The price for tastings were also so reasonable and so worth it. I can't even thank everyone at the winery for such a memorable day. Everyone at the party had such a great time and we all shed some very happy tears that day. Paul treated us all with so much kindness and we will 100% be back!

The tasting fee was quite reasonable at 10 dollars a tasting for six wines. While not all wines may be available for tasting, they have quite the selection from dry to sweet whites, pinots, blends, and of course a couple merlots and cabs. I'm not usually much of a white drinker but their chardonnay was actually quite nice. We look forward to stopping by here again on our next trip.

They have some high tables with stools to sit on. Its a decent sized space but it fills up fast. They only had two people on staff which means there was always a wait. It made it hard for them to spend any time explaining the wines for tasting. A tasting is 20$ and you get to sample 4 wines. My favorites where the white merlot(not actually a white) and the hot mulled wine. The bottles are priced way to high for the average person to buy one.

She recommended the hot spiced wine and it was perfect for the cold day we were there. It's a very casual place to just relax have a wine tasting and enjoy life.
