If my star review could be no stars at all I would be a lot happier!! I was stranded at Bryan lake in Bryan, Texas. I had a key that had fallen off of my keychain for my car and could not find it Anywhere! It was getting dark and my last resort was to call Pop-A-Lock. The gentleman ? Chris?..told me it would be over an hour before he gets there. Which Bryan lake is very close to Bryan, Texas. It was far later before he was there. But this is the main issue, I had been sitting in my car with my dog. That is a miniature dachshund. My miniature dachshund is very prone to epileptical seizures. I eventually rolled up my windows And kept the door open slightly. .. because I was getting a little skittish since it was dark and there were no lights out at Bryan lake. And no one was around! The dog was beside me. The Pop-A-Lock technician finally arrives and I get out of the car to talk to him unbeknownst to me he took it upon himself and locked my car doors all four of them and my miniature dachshund was inside with the windows rolled up! I became upset and said" why did you lock the car door when it was already unlocked?" And "I have a miniature dachshund inside and it's too hot for her to be in there. Plus she has seizures!!" He acted like nothing I say even mattered nor did he hear me! He was completely oblivious to the fact!! I called to speak to one of the main managers. His name was Oliver something another and he was completely unsympathetic did not care. I even mentioned that maybe the man was drinking and did not even think about asking me about my dog. After me explaining to him that I just got done walking her, he lit into me and said "he does not drink!!" I said how do you know he doesn't drink? He must be a friend of yours or something?? He stated. No, he's no friend of mine! Which again makes me wonder then why are you offending him?? And not caring to what I had to say about this! I was very happy and was willing to pay what I needed to pay to get myself out of that situation. But this whole situation that he put me unde, this technician and as well as his manager Oliver whatever his name is was completely unethical!! This is not the way you run a business, I am in customer service and have been for many years. You do not treat someone like this!! what would have take.. my dog to have a seizure and die before anyone recognizes how Wrong This man was!!?? completely in the wrong? And the management was As Well?? Since then, I've called the head of Pop-A-Lock in Texas and we'll see how this gets taken care of. Probably won't! Beware to any of you that call upon Pop-A-Lock!! I called around 8:30 am because I locked my keys in my car. I was told there was no one in the Bryan area until around 2 pm. I used them 3 years ago and had a great experience, not so much today. I called Boss instead. They came within 30 minutes. read more

I've had the pleasure of calling on Pop a Lock a few times in the past, and they've always provided very prompt, attentive service with a smile. They've unlocked a vehicle and cut several keys without any issues. Even the Manager responded with a professional attitude and experience. I had a person who locked his key in the car. We explained when we called it was a government car. The dispatcher said ok. They take government cards. Then the driver had to pay out of his own pocket because the pop a lock guy said they didn't. This is unacceptable. read more

In my infinite wisdom (ha ha), I keep locking my keys in my car. Fortunately, pop a lock came to my rescue right away. (Twice) Their rate was decent. They work quickly. The locksmith was polite and business like. I can't complain!! read more

I had a fantastic experience with Pop-A-Lock. I slipped on the ice and my apartment key disappeared. They were out in 19 minutes (on a late Saturday night!) and got my door open within 2 minutes. The service guy was super friendly, efficient, professional and personable. $50 isn't bad for great, fast service after hours! read more

After calling them and being put on hold for 20 minutes the only thing they could tell me was that they had no technician with the skills to help me. What??? The lock I needed unlocked was a bedroom doorknob with a keyhole. How in the world do you run a locksmith business and not hire people who can do the job?? Basically my impression of this company was that they simply didn't want to help me because I wasn't on site and proving my residency would be a problem. Instead of telling me that directly they gave me a silly and most likely false reason just so they didn't have to deal with it. Randal arrived to give my car a jump start as well as give me a few gallons of gas and was here 30 minutes sooner than expected. Not only way he early, but when my car kept dying because I had to replace the battery(I needed the jump to get my car to oreillys in hopes they could get a bolt off that wouldnt budge for me so I could swap the battery), he was happy to get out his tools and loosen the stubborn bolt so I could swap the batteries out without hassle! Pop a lock was an absolute life saver today! I doubt any other company would have been willing to spend their time helping with something that wasnt specifically on the call request but he was more than happy to help out. Thanks so much Randal! I have not received service from them. I requested a quote, and Jim sent a message back fairly quickly, saying that they didn't have the possibility to do what I needed done (not lack of skill, just lack of technician in the area). When someone admits they can't do something, I believe that is one huge pillar honesty! He then recommended I use another business, who is a competitor. I cannot testify to the quality of work that they do (although, from what friends say, they do a great job), but I am going to say that they were quick to respond, courteous and honest. It seems only logical they would do a good job if hired. read more

Horrible customer service. Probably one of the rudest encounters I have ever received from a business. I had requested road side assistance from Pop a Lock through my insurance company, and apparently they did not receive the correct information. They called me and asked where I was, and I told them "I'm sitting in my truck." He said "ok hold on" and then hung up. I tried calling the number back but it was a toll free number and led to nowhere. I ended up calling Pop a Locks number to find out what the deal was. I talked on the phone with this girl who was extremely rude to my father and I. She said in a very condescending childlike tone "well we did not recieve the right information from your and we have been calling and looking for you for 45 minutes." I said, "I haven't received any calls from y'all. Do you have the right number?" Here is when she really pooped off, basically screaming "the number they gave us was 999-999-9999! You're going to have to call your insurance company and deal with it on your own" and then hung up. The guy told us they would be able to replace our car key. When he arrived, we filled him in and he got our information. He unlocked the car, told us he forgot we needed a new key, and proceeded to get back in his truck and speed off without letting us know. Not friendly or considerate at all. Extremely disappointing service especially when you are already in a bind. Would not recommend. read more
