Caused damage to vehicle! Vehicle damage to Jeep spare tire rack. Pop-A-Lock showed up with a trainee saying, "How does this tire come off the rack"? Person training/changing tire hurried my daughter along and put tire needing to be repaired in back of jeep, not on rack. Daughter drove straight to Tire Service for repair and they said they couldn't get the tire back on rack because of damage created when taking it off. Person who changed tire from Pop-A-Lock never reviewed vehicle with daughter and hurried her along to go get her tire fixed. He later emailed a form to my daughter that she was supposed to sign claiming no damage to vehicle. He never presented this to her in person. I've spoken to a representative of the company and they said this form should always be reviewed at completion of service. Owners are now refusing to repair rack. read more

Locked my keys in my car at the gas pumps and called pop a lock about assisting. They told me it would probably be around 45 min. To my surprise I got a call back within a couple minutes and was informed that they could be there within ten min. Xavier came and helped me out and was fast and super courteous. Very expensive to get into the trunk of a BMW. I also had to wait for about an hour and a half. That being said they were the only locksmith service that was able to get the job done. If I rated on cost or wait time I would not recommend, but they got the trunk of my car unlocked when no other service could. Why were my keys in my trunk? Don't ask. read more

Gulf States Financial Service directed me to this number for a tow when me and my best friend had a flat tire. In a bad part of town, we waited for two hours on a tow truck that never came- calling this number 4 times and no one knew what to do even though this was the number we were given. I called around 10:30pm at night because I had left my keys in my car in a town nearby. I live 3 hours away from waco tx so I had no knowledge about this business until I googled it. At first I was extremely happy to find a place 14 miles away. They told me it would be 15-20minutes and they quoted me a price. I was like that's not so bad and I can wait that long. After 25 minutes I called them and they told me the driver was helping someone else, I would have to wait an additional 15 minutes(understandable still). The driver finally called me and told me he was on his way but he seemed a little confused and I instinctively told him my location. He replied that he was told my location was inside Waco which was the complete opposite direction! At this point the driver told me I was going to get charged a MILEAGE charge($30 more) on top of the original charge(What? I've been waiting an hour at this point?). I called their dispatch and complained but they just said ok and hung up. After many calls later and another additional hour(2 complete hours since it was now 12:30am) the driver/technician finally showed up and quickly opened the door. I have no complaints about the technician but those people at their dispatch were completely awful! read more

I called Pop-A-Lock's main distribution line after locking my keys in the car. The person who answered was not friendly or helpful, which just added to the stress of locking my keys in the car. She was vague about pricing and did not give an estimated time of arrival for the technician. While I waited, my friends and I started calling other locksmiths to see if they would be quicker. We found a local place who was a lot cheaper than Pop-A-Lock and arrived right away. The Pop-A-Lock tech called after the locksmith had already started working on my car. I answered and said "Hi, I already have someone doing it. Goodbye." And hung up. A few minutes later I received a text from the Pop-A-Lock tech that read "Thank you so much for hanging up on me have a nice day" I was terse, but I did not hang up on him. Even if I did, it was completely out of line for him to send me such a rude and sarcastic text message. You are in the customer service business. Act like a professional. I would maybe have used their services in the future, but I will never use Pop-A-Lock again and I am telling all my Waco friends to boycott them. read more
