As a result, we overpaid for items we didn't need. Several items arrived damaged or unusable, including cracked glassware, stained/shrunken napkins, and worn easels. We also had to rewash more than half the glassware due to dirt. Communication was difficult due to a point-of-contact change, and overall customer service lacked the flexibility expected in the event industry. The company acted like they were doing me favor when they arrived outside of the requested timeframe. This meant less staff/volunteers to setup for our event. Because most of what I requested at our first meeting was absent from the plan and pricing, I asked for a refund of MY $750. This was her RIDICULOUS Response: I'm so sorry we cannot refund your non-refundable deposit as we spent hours putting together your proposal and then hours letting all of our vendors go. How in the world could a company spend hours cancelling vendors that I never even approved. I didn't give her a go ahead for ANYTHING. I cancelled the contract within 48 hours of receiving Tammie's ridiculous proposal. She did offer to provide a STRIPPED DOWN VERSION OF THE EVENT. If I had wanted a STRIPPED DOWN EVENT, I wouldn't have tried to hire a planner.

So guests were gathered, with no where to sit down, and one sweaty and apologetic man is dropping tables in the middle of a catered reception. Eventually this establishment stopped answering my phone calls the day of, and after this event when I tried to get them to pick up the equipment. They were also days late picking up the equipment, putting us in a bad spot with the event space. AND they charged me the full costs of the delivery fee.
