When Barb retired, her company was apparently acquired by Howard's Pool World. Unfortunately, they have a strict policy of servicing a pool only below the water line. When some worrisome black mold appeared on the underside of the coping tiles around our pool's edge, they absolutely refused to remove or treat it. That's when and why we began searching for a new pool maintenance company. Fortunately, we found Hydra Pool Service, a small but growing company. Hydra not only agreed to maintain our entire pool, they sent TWO of their technicians out that SAME DAY to remove the worrisome mold and clean the entire pool! We found him upbeat, collaborative, and enthusiastic to work with on the design itself. Once we agreed on the design, it took a couple of weeks for his schedule add us in. His crew worked very diligently to remediate the debris from pool construction with some top soil, added sod in areas damaged by construction, and planted a mixed group of perennials for privacy and color around our pool cage. The plants themselves were very vigorous and a great quality. We felt Myakka offered a wonderful combination of knowledge, value, and a desire to please the customer. I have an Aquacal that I am not happy with (sold by my pool installation company 5 years ago), that is still under warranty. Dealing with Aquacal for warranty repairs is a nightmare - their standard time to get someone dispatched for repair is 15 BUSINESS DAYS! Don't know when they'll come, they'll call you sometime in the next 15 business days to let you know they're on the way. Oh yeah - you need to put the $285 service charge on your CC in advance. Done Right is the Aquacal warranty company in my area, and they came out in 1 day, and only charged me $155. They also got the parts covered by the Aquacal warranty. Couldn't be happier with their professionalism and responsiveness. Highly recommend them.

They service the Naples area in a most unusual way they dispatch repair trucks from the home office and basically are in the area all day. So you may call for an appointment and they will say fix it the next day. But if the technician is all caught up they will call and give same day service. I have used them only for pool heating and have had them on two occasions. They have absolutly knocked it out of the park each time.
