Paid $25 dollars for two wings what appeared to be a piece of a back and a thigh so hard my mother could not chew. Three biscuits just out of the oven and were very good. One mashed potatoes and two rice and beans that were good. Popcorn shrimp that was wrapped in a deli wrapper and put at the bottom of the bag. Even one handle on the bag was broken. Very messy and slow . No food was ready when we came we waited for a very long time . There was trash all on the floor no lids or napkins where out . The lady at the register kept messing up our order and we constantly had to remind her of what we had said . Most employees were in the back talking while no food was being made . Ordered two 3 piece spicy meals in drive through and paid for two 3 piece meals. Got home and found that we had only 2 piece meals with the scrawniest pieces of chicken ever. And they were mild on top of it! Not worth the drive back to get a refund. Popeyes use to be my favorite until I moved to San Angelo. I have an ongoing debate/argument with some friends over who has the best chicken strips. Their claim is that Popeyes, being the only place with spicy strips, automatically wins. Well.... I have yet to come to this Popeyes and experience strips that were actually hot, in temperature, they are always old, cold, and taste awful. Beans/rice are pure liquid smoke which tastes like they are burnt.. also, there is barely any rice involved. Dirty rice is dry. Mashed potatos are the high point of the sides, but Church's are better. I'll try a few more times (lazy. fat.), but honestly, if you want good chicken strips. Chick-fil-a... So, Popeyes, you get an extra star because you're open on Sunday. read more

First time here and I was very disappointed. Showed up at 9:15 p.m. when they close at 10 p.m. . The drive-thru Clerk was rude from the first word. She also chose to speak more ghetto and slang instead of plain English. Ordered a 4 piece combo meal with mashed potatoes and gravy and a jalapeno. Got to the hotel and my order was wrong. And for the first time in all my years eating at Popeye's, I got the gravy separate from my mashed potatoes. And of course, no spork. Well I get there and I pull up to order my food and all goes well. After I get my food I take a drink of my dr pepper and it is over carbonated and just overall tastes bad. After I ate the food i got a really bad headache and felt like throwing up. The amount of grease it had was unsettling and just totally unhealthy. How is this place even open!!! Drove thru at 2:13 pm, ordered 8-piece spicy chicken with red beans and rice and biscuits. Got to the window and was informed they were one piece short on the spicy chicken, would a regular thigh do? Yes, no problem...even got a complimentary large cup of ice for the wife. So, why one star? We drove 100 miles back home, unloaded the car and sat down to eat...no red beans and rice, big box of limp cold fries that had to have sat there all day. Looked at the receipt only to discover that the order was taken wrong in the first place - mashed potatoes and gravy, it says. Got some seriously brain-dead individuals in there. I wouldn't go back but my wife says she will but will damn sure check the order before she untracks to leave. read more

We just bought a 12 piece chicken tender dinner. We live in Bronte, so not too far-30 miles. When we went to eat, as soon as we got home, the chicken was tough, and cold, and not fresh. We were there close to opening, so chicken should have been fresh. It was not. It tasted like it was at least from the day before, possibly 2 days before. Once went thru the drive thru and didn't get a large side I had ordered. Another time my wife got stale chicken. We won't go back. Sad read more

Still messing up drive thru orders. Can't understand the concept of dry and plain chicken sandwiches. Always mixes up sides. Only had one type of drink to order, coke. Drive thru pretty long. Some food hot and some food cold. My advice, eat in or don't eat it. read more

Good service. Friendly people. Food is like any other Popeyes. It was clean. The only complaint is that it was 35 degrees outside and not much warmer in the restaurant. We'll stop in again read more

I have never done this before, but this is the third time in a row having them screw up my order! Don't deviate from the menu and hopefully they won't get it wrong. They might still get your side order wrong or your drink though. If you order more then two items from the menu make sure to check what they gave you. read more

The 1st time we went to the new Popeye's, we ordered 2 all white, 2 piece meals. We got thighes and wings. Wings are meatless nearly everywhere you go so since I do not like dark meat I did not get to eat lunch and had to take it back. I went back to get what we ordered and had to deal with a very rude woman cashier while there must have been at least 4 other women who were supposed to be working but they were just talking to people they knew who came in or to each other but not working for sure. One woman worker barged in front of me and told the cashier to give her a meal for her lunch with her discount so she could take her break. Two of the women workers stopped fixing other meals and got her meal while they talked to each other over me about the fact she did not have enough money to pay for it. She is telling the cashier she would give her the money later but the cashier told her she needed the money now because she would not pay her later. I waited forever while they chatted and stood around. We tried again. This time we ordered all breasts and nothing else. What we got was mostly back bones with no meat on tthe breasts. I got one bite of chicken. So, stupid as this must seem, I tried once more but this may be the last time. This time, I asked the same rude woman cashier if I could have breasts with some meat on them because I only got back bones before. Since I am paying for them I would like to have something to eat. Again she was very rude and she told me that she did not package the meals, she signaled it was done by the woman behind her who ignored our conversation. I told her I was tired of not getting what I paid for and could I please have some with chicken in it. She ignored me, gave me a nasty grin and went to the next person. This cashier cannot keep a constant train of thought and if she could it would be directed at her fellow workers because all they seem to do is stand around and talk to each other. I have never seen so many people doing nothing. I did see a tall white man in the back who I assumed was the manager but he didn't seem to notice what happened out front. Maybe his way of copeing with the staff he hired and can't change now. I do not want to sound like I think it is because of a person's race that makes them do anything. But when all workers equal and they are all doing the same thing, something is wrong somewhere. Either they had really bad training or no training or someone doesn't care and just did what they did for looks. It doesn't look good. If the hiring was done for a particular reason, it is not working. Not all people are hard working, conscientious, caring people who want to do a good job. Unfortunately I think this is a big problem at the new Popeye's on Bryant in San Angelo. NOTE TO MANAGER: You need to do some retraining and try to solve your increasingly bad problem before we no longer have a Popeye's here again. I saw way too many people leave or roll their eyes or make comments about the bad service at what was transpiring at your store. read more

Drive thru on a Thursday at 7:30pm and at least three cars in front of me drive off...hmmm wonder what that was about. Maybe the fact that they were informed that you all were out of red beans and rice...(isn't that like a staple of the restaurant?), mashed potatoes, and you didn't have enough chicken for a 12 piece meal.
