I visited this location for the first time. This location at night seems a bit sketchy with people in the parking lot, but my service was excellent. A young man Braydon Parnell, provided such excellent service and was very professional, It definitely makes me want to return to this location in the future. read more

Update! Previously I must've gone on some off day or fluke so I only gave 1 star. Since then I've been back twice, greeted with awesome customer service, and rec'd great chicken pretty dang quick. They may think about trimming back some overgrowth along the drive thru but that doesn't affect the food and service which are both awesome. read more

There seems to be less and less truth in advertising. For the last 2 years the shrimp tackle box has been driving me crazy so tonight I ordered one along with a surf and turf. I think my French fries were left over from lunch the biscuit was almost a hockey puck and instead of sending me shrimp I think they put used shrimp tails on erasers and deep fried them. The other part the chicken tenders fingers inches a r e pathetic looking. I am so disappointed I won't be doing this again I guess I'm going to have to buy my own shrimp and do my own frying from now on I used to be so crazy about Popeyes no longer. I placed and paid for, my order using the "Popeyes Chicken " app on my phone. When I arrived at Popeyes, I had to wait in the same line as the customers placing orders. Everyone was working on the orders in the drive thru so I waited in line another 10 minutes, when I gave my name for the mobile order I was told I had to wait 9 minutes for more chicken to cook. I left and drove 4 miles down Gordon Hwy to a Burger King, ordered a double whopper w/cheese and ate the double whopper with cheese. I returned to the Popeyes and my order still wasn't ready and I waited while they started making my orders. (I ordered an 8 piece box and 5 tenders with fries and a drink.). I will NEVER return here and the service I received was so awful, I'm erasing the app. KFC you have a new customer thanks to Popeyes. read more

Went here on Saturday 8th October evening about 8.40pm. They were the nicest people working in here. Got the eight piece family meal - chicken only and even though the register seemed to be putting in a chicken sandwich when she was selecting what I had ordered, the lady kept her cool and fixed the issue. This is the SLOWEST fast food you will ever get! We waited for 22 minutes to get a chicken sandwich mashed potatoes and a drink. They didn't have any salt or pepper or napkins or ketchup. The men's room was completely fubar. It was busy but the people behind the counter were moving around like they had glue in their veins?! This was the second time that this Popeye's badly messed up my order. Cajun fries became dirty rice (which I dislike) and spicy chicken became mild because they didn't have any spicy. When I complained about the mild they said, oh, we told you you could wait! Nope. They didn't. Also no receipt! Don't bother ordering as you will get something else anyway. read more

The service is extremely slow and the $5.99 shrimp tackle box that they advertise on TV is not what you get at the drive thru.

We were in Augusta on business. We were hungry and wanted Popeyes.The restaurant was so filthy. I don't understand how this restaurant is still open.The fabric on all seating was so old and dirty.There was dirty water sitting in the tile grout.We started to turn around and walk out.I didn't see a health inspection score posted on the wall???This place needs to be closed down.The ordering was unorganized. If you like Popeye's spicy chicken, then the spicy chicken sandwich won't be too spicy for you. It's a simple sandwich. Just mayo and a couple pickles. Similar to a Chick-fil-A sandwich, but better. The bun is better. Also, the chicken in my sandwich was crispy. I've never had that at Chick-fil-A. Is it worth waiting in line for almost 20 minutes? No. But I hope this is going to be a regular menu item. I want to get it again after the hype dies. read more

Well we were going to the brewery next door and needed a snack to go with our beer and what a better combo then chicken and beer!(at least that's how we see it). So I ordered the 10 PC nuggets with sweet heat sauce. I must say the nuggets were fresh and hot and the sauce just set the meal off just right. Service was good there were only 2 people ahead of us. POS manager was very polite and friendly with us to make up for the cashier's non chalant mode. Will always come back for fresh food and great speed of service read more

Conveniently located close to downtown, this location is simply ok. I frequent here often. However, that's mostly because it's the last stop with a drive-thru before I get on Gordon Hwy and ride out! LOL Anyway, the service-level varies... seems to be purely the luck of the draw. Sometimes you get an ok server and sometimes you get the pits. I grin and bear it simply because they have the most awesomely delicious biscuits. Just get the buttered biscuits and strawberry jam.... Yum! Also they actually have Fanta (either cherry or strawberry... the red one). I love this drink. Funny thought... some of the employees don't seem to be happy in the mornings. lol The most you get is your bag swung out the window, a grunt, and a look that says F.T.S. ... I promise you I giggle as I eat my biscuit and enjoy the steaming hot coffee. Oh yeah the coffee is really good like everyday. I havent seen any happy workers since they had two guys in the drive-thru. I don't think they are even working there anymore. Maybe they knew they were moving on to bigger and better kitchens? LOL BTW... I don't know what the hype is but I could have done without paying 7.99 for the Chicken Waffle Tender Combo. Zee flay-vour vas zay let-dune. OK so we have visited here three times in the last month. The first time they told us they were out of chicken - which is sadly common for most of the Popeye's locations in the south (never had this happen in the west coast). The second time they explained that they could not make my shrimp po-boy (which i sometimes crave from here) because they do not have any bread thawed, then at the window they asked me if they could do two thighs on the dark 2 piece because they were out of legs...LORD! The third and final time, we finally were able to get some chicken, and i asked for some honey sauce (because that is what it says on the package of honey)...they gave me honey mustard. Stopped in the drive-through to grab a quick lunch. There were only two cars in front of me so I didn't think it would take very long. That turned out to be incorrect, but I could live with that. What I can't live with is the fact that even though I ordered rice and a complete meal, I didn't receive any utensils or one single napkin. Here we are in the middle of a pandemic and they can't even spare one napkin. The line takes absolutely forever to get through and the workers are often rude, as if it is your fault that they had to get up to go work at Popeyes. If you're unhappy to be working somewhere then get a different job or suck it up. My dogs have better customer service.... This restaurant needs to be shut down indefinitely when the new location in Grovetown opens. I'd rather go across town to get my food!! I love fried chicken and I also love spicy fried chicken. Popeye's is a favorite of mine. But this location lacks in some places for one, they almost always run out of items on the menu and secondly, the items that are available on the menu are not readily available. You have to wait at least 10 minutes for your food. But I can say that the chicken is always freshly fried after that wait. That's why I gave this place an extra star. read more

Wish I could give zero stars. This place is slow AF! Barely a little and still took about 15 minutes to order. Another 10 minutes or so to get to the window. Girl takes my card, gives me my drink and receipt, then disa-damn-peared. I wait. I see everyone on the inside being served. The employees are just walking around, practically doing nothing. Only the cashier was actually doing anything. After about fifteen minutes, without an apology or update, I blew my horn to get the drive thru attendant's attention. I asked to get my receipt as I was canceling my order. I asked what was going on and what was taking so long. Silence. No problem. I have worked in a restaurant that serves chicken. Every time I come here they are always crowded but VERY UNORGANIZED!! Long waits.. They are constantly arguing with one another.. Usually had a sticky floor and dirty tables.
