On the road between the Bay Area and LA, I found a perfect excuse to get some "unhealthy" food because this restaurant is located conveniently off the freeway. The interior is nicely decorated: cheerful colorful, spacious, and clean. Bathrooms are close by and pleasant. I ordered with the app about ten minutes ahead of arrival and my order was ready when I got there. The lady at the counter was friendly and welcoming. So I'd say service was excellent. The two of us shared two items from the $6 menu: a 3-piece spicy chicken (two thighs and a breast) and a spicy chicken sandwich. Food was hot and fresh and delicious. The sandwich came in a soft, light bun; and the piece of chicken breast was scrumptious, moist, and tasty. The spicy fried chicken was meaty and tender. Idk what was in the air in Buttonwillow, but I'm so glad I stopped here instead of in n out on our drive back to socal. I was probably really hungry but the chicken was crispy, juicy and tasted great! Got the 4 piece chicken with all dark meat and spicy - no combo . I think they accidentally included a biscuit. My partner got the fish filet sandwich and was pleasantly surpassed how moist and flaky the fish was. Crispy, hot, fresh chicken. This Popeyes is on my way out of town. The peeps are nice. Service is great and they try to combo everything for you so you get a deal.
