Had to come back again! I wanted to try something hondureño, the lady up front recommended tacos hondureños which are like taquitos with chicken inside, it was so good it had a lot of flavor! The service was really good once again really friendly, it looked like a lot but it was too good to not finish them ! So no to go box for me :)

The food is absolutely delicious. Hands down better than Taco Bell and Popeyes from across the street. Fast service and reasonably priced food. Every time we take the I-5 out of town, we stop to grab some pastellitos and some quesabirria tacos. 11/10

I got the asada fries and they are the best ones I've had. Great service and very good food. This is a must try food spot.

This is my second time here. I ordered the horchata which is one the best horchatas I've had anywhere. In fact, I liked it so much the first time I had it here, I ordered it again. I simply devoured the tacos hondurenos. They remind me a bit of Mexican flautas , fried so they're crispy and there is chicken inside. Great sauce. Delicious! I'm so glad I returned here. The other dishes look equally intriguing. There are 4 different kinds of soups, including posole. The prices are very reasonable and people are always super nice! Came to this place specifically for Lengua and they didn't have it even though it's on their menu. Then I asked to order a plate birria and they could not do that. They could only sell me tacos with birria. I ordered chips and guac as per their photo on the truck and what was served was basically a vegetable salad, meaning onions, tomato, and cilantro with some avocado cream. Delicious! We got asada burritos, each with special instructions like light onions or no rice, and everything came out correctly and quickly. The salsa is thin and spicy, perfect to pour on top of each bite. This is a great pit stop on a road trip through CA. Stop by on my up to the Bay Area. My son wanted Taco Bell and I said HELL NO (I am picky about my tacos)...there's a taco truck across the street. This place did not disappoint. Even tho they were out of Carne asada and carnitas...we got birria and pastor instead. Loved the crispy parts of the pastor and both were juicy and full of flavor...get the pickled onions for that added sweet and sour. Also ordered a side of guacamole and chips. Long night after eating your food. First, your menu for the quesobirria tacos has 3 tacos and consumé, you get one, not 3 and you don't get consumé. The frijoles tasted like it was from a can. Let's get to why you caused my night and drive home horrible. My son drank your horchata and started feeling sick about an hour after drinking it. We pulled over and he chucked all the cheese quesadilla and horchata all over the side of the freeway. I think it was the horchata because I had some of his quesadilla and felt fine. Expect a visit from the health department. read more

We had to make a pit stop to charge our car and we were so delighted to come across this food truck. I stumbled on this food truck place praying it to better than these fast food joints - my wish came true! I was apprehensive and only ordered tacos. The birria tacos were out of this world. I wish I had more room in my stomach. It was fresh, good portions and juicy! I love love LOVED it. I wish I took a picture of it as they presented it so well! We tried the baleada based on their recommendation that starts with freshly made flour tortillas, stufffed wjth tasty birria, avocado, fresh beans, Cotija cheese and sour cream --- it's to die for! I've never had a more flavorful experience at a food truck than eating here. The meats are perfectly spiced, the toppings are fresh and the homemade tortillas will send you over the moon. I've tried several dishes here and have always been pleased by what I ate and left wanting to come back as soon as possible. The burritos are a solid go to as well as traditional Honduran dishes. Tacos J Torres is a delightful family run Honduran taco truck right off Highway 5. The delicious food is made from scratch by mom, with wonderful service from her son and daughter among other family members. There's also an intimate patio setup with tables and benches under a tent to keep you out of the sun and protected from the wind while you enjoy your food. With the ideal combination of incredible food and the wonderful people behind it making this dining experience one you'll want again and again, I believe they'll have their own thriving restaurant soon with a loyal crowd to follow. Two thumbs way down, next time if Tita's is closed we are going to get back on the road to head up to that Mexican place in the plaza at the Paso Robles exit.

If you haven't tried before, order the cabeza, tripa and lengua tacos! I guarantee you will not be disappointed. Full of flavor and beef that just melts in your mouth. I'd drive back a hundred plus miles just to have these again. The papusas are worth a try if you haven't tried before. They're a solid choice and I'd go with the pork and beans if you're a first timer. It's a bit hot out in Buttonwillow during the summer but they do have a bit of shade and few tables as you enjoy your authentic tacos!

As soon as I entered I felt like I had stepped into a diner in the middle of nowhere, the type of spot where brothers talked about saving people, hunting things, you know the family business. I am not sure if onion baguette is a middle-of-nowhere bread, but, I allowed it because the taste of the bread was, like tailored made for me, I am a sucker for onion, and not just because it gives me sexy breath. The food was standard, solid fare. Everything was just good nothing wrong with it, all good with it. The sauces were tasty, and added smoky sweet flavor that was welcomed. So this elevated the dish by addding a hickory taste. It did not save the dishes, but did make them better. The decorations were texas heavy. I should have taken more pictures. But sometimes the imagination allows for a space to feel more than at it is.

Older gentleman and he was great. Very attentive and nice. The decor and atmosphere were authentic Indian and it felt nice being there. Now the food. I had salad, Garlic Naan, Rice and Cheese Masala. The salad, rice and Naan were really good. However, the Cheese Masala was friggin superb. So much flavor packed in that little bowl. Was worth every penny I paid. I very highly recommend this place.

I was greeted by the friendly hostess at the order window and the menu was nearby to see the extreme variety of meats that you normally don't see at restaurants in the bay! If you haven't tried before, order the cabeza, tripa and lengua tacos! I guarantee you will not be disappointed. Full of flavor and beef that just melts in your mouth. I'd drive back a hundred plus miles just to have these again. The papusas are worth a try if you haven't tried before. They're a solid choice and I'd go with the pork and beans if you're a first timer. It's a bit hot out in Buttonwillow during the summer but they do have a bit of shade and few tables as you enjoy your authentic tacos!

The pupusas themselves were ok. We tried the pork one and the jalapeño one. They were both just ok. Nothing special. They were very sparse with filling.

Two thumbs way down, next time if Tita's is closed we are going to get back on the road to head up to that Mexican place in the plaza at the Paso Robles exit.

I stopped by Tacos J Torres at a rest stop in Buttonwillow, and it was an excellent find. The quesa birria tacos were absolutely delicious--flavorful, tender, and perfectly paired with their rich consommé. The presentation was thoughtful, with pickled red onions, jalapeños, and radishes on the side, adding just the right amount of freshness and crunch. I've tried all the taco trucks at this exit, hands down this is the best one! The food is authentic and always delivers. This is a must stop when I'm traveling through the 5! Added bonus it's located next to a Starbucks & on hotel property in case you need a decent place to stay during your travels. read more
