Went here for the first time tonight. They got our orders mixed up. Gave me two pieces mild dark meat and hubby got spicy breast and mild thigh. I gad ordered two piece white meat mild. He had ordered two pieces dark meat one mild and one spicy. I don't eat dark meat so we tried to correct things by switching chicken, but the spicy breast was almost inedible and very overcooked while the second piece that was supposed to be white meat was a thigh. Finally had the overly hyped Popeye's chicken sandwich.The chicken was flavorful and crisp, the bun was a sort of mashed slightly soggy mess. I would not go out of my way to get this sandwich. This was my third try at various Popeye's as the other times they were out of sandwiches. Stick with Chick-Fil-A or Bojangles if you ask me. We hit the drive through at this location at 4:37 on a September Sunday. There were two cars in the drive through in front of us. It took us 15 minutes to get through the drive through. I literally sat at the order microphone box for 8 silent minutes after being told "I will be with you in a moment." This place is very slow and inefficient. We did not have room for drinks so we wanted to order three sandwiches and three fries, but the price for just that is the exact same as ordering the combo and getting the drink. Go figure. Two of our sandwiches were Classic and one was Spicy, but they were not marked and were indistinguishable from each other visually and even odor (could not smell the spicy one). That was disappointing because now two people in our party are not happy - one got a spicy and didn't want it and the other....you get the idea. The Cajun fries were "small" orders for $1.99 each and they really were small and nothing was really Cajun about their flavor, but they were crispy. It is not "the move" to order a small fry here as it literally is too small. The bottom line is that service, speed, food quality, food flavor and reasonable value would all be winners for Chick-Fil-A in this chicken battle. read more

It's been weeks since I just happen to be driving by Pop Eyes Chicken and they just happen to have those chicken sandwiches available. I've been wondering, what is it about this chicken sandwich that they're always out of them. I was driving by on a Sunday and the sign was posted that they had chicken sandwiches. I went through the drive-thru, and could hear the man in the car in front of me place his order. He was ordering his sides, they were out of most of the sides he tried to order. They did have fries, it looks like chicken sandwiches aren't the only item they run out of. I only ordered a chicken sandwich. For those of you that are die hard Chick-fil-A people(sigh) I have to say that the Popeyes chicken sandwich is way better. A big fried crispy, juicy and tender chicken breast on a toasted bun with mayo on the bottom bun and a pickle chip. Do not rely on this store's hours listed online or posted at the store since they seem to close whenever they feel like it. They have the intercom system at the drive thru set to prompt... "Sorry, we are closed" well before 10 PM speaking from experience even as early as 830 pm so that you think they are closed....but if you sit there long enough and with a little bit of luck, they might take your order. Or they will tell you they're closed, even if it's an hour or so before their posted closing hour of 10pm The food is great (obviously) which is why I needed to post this because popeyes lovers deserve a reliable popeyes! Came here for dinner for my boyfriend and his sister. We ordered two chicken tender meals and one nugget meal. We were charged for all three meals got all three of our drinks but only received two meals. We got all the way home and we noticed we were missing a box. I called right away and the guy told me to come back but as I explained to him I live 18 minutes away. He told me he couldn't do anything over the phone which I understand but I wish he would've delivered it in a better way. We paid for three meals and only received two. I'm highly upset with this. I really do hate to put it that way, but after talking to several friend's they have the exact same experience as we do. And honestly I wouldn't even be writing this review if they did not act the way they did towards my son's today that went through the drive-thru and I pulled their dash cam video to listen to how they were treated. When this location first opened up, we ate there once a week, Yeah we love us some Popeyes! But it just became more and more obvious over the years, and every time we go in we'll catch attitude or they just completely ignore us. On the flip side you go through the drive-thru so you don't have to worry about that then you don't get all your food. if you go inside to get the rest of your food you get ignored or they act like you didn't order what you're asking for even though you have a receipt. Unbelievably rude staff. The girl who gave me my order maybe said 5 words to me. Even dropped my order, accidentally, on the counter while trying to hand it to me. She didn't apologize or look me in the eye.. Instead, she just walked away. No one wore masks over their noses. No one said a single kind word to me. I was told I couldn't pick my order up in the drive thru even though their app gives the option. I came in and stood at the counter for a while before being acknowledged. The staff seemed too interested in their own conversations to help their customers in a timely way. I had fries in my order that turned out to be cold and rubbery with little flavor. Additionally, there were pieces of fuzz found on the fries. That was gross and a waste of money. My chicken sandwich was okay. The bun was pretty soggy from the mayo and it was colder than I'd have liked. It definitely wasn't fresh. When I turned the sandwich over, there was also a large string of fabric on the bottom bun. You better check your order before you leave there. On two occasions to pick up mobile orders I I found that the large sides that I had ordered with my family meal were half full. Once is happenstance; twice is pattern or practice. It's a small thing but if they are cheating their "to go" customers on small things I hate to imagine what they doing on things that are important. There are other places to get chicken that are just as good and don't try to cheat you out of a few pennies worth of food that you paid for. I thought we had made it... just in time for some popeyes... we see cars in the drive through so we assume we got this... deciding what I want wasnt difficult and when it was our turn we eagerly approached the window.. to recieve an automated message about how they are closed. Um ok.?. So We drive next door and we're settling for cookout. Sit in the parking lot to eat bc we are famished from the drive from Pickens and look up to see people going through the popeyes drive through.
